A Theoretical Approach to Dynamical Diffraction of X-rays in the Bragg Case with the Green's Function Method
The dynamical diffraction theory of X-rays for a distorted crystal with the Green's function method is applied to the Bragg case. The transmitted and diffracted crystal waves are represented as the solutions of the integral equations using the Green's function. For a perfect crystal, the most exact form of the solution of the equations is given by the Green's function and its derivatives, and the waves are analytically expressed by using them. The results can be applied in a general case where the amplitude modulation of the incident wave is not negligibly small compared with the wave vector. If the amplitude modulation is small, those results are reduced essentially to the same as those given by Takagi's theory.departmental bulletin pape
Relationship between Fuel Injection Pressure and NOX Exhaust Characteristics of Diesel Engines Using Bio Fuel
BDF (Bio Diesel Fuel) containing a lot of oxygen promotes the combustion of diesel engines, hence the improvement in thermal efficiency can be expected. Moreover, the NOX (Nitrogen Oxides) density rises when the combustion of the diesel engine is promoted. However, the previous researches found out that the NOX density of the diesel engine using BDF decreased compared with using gas oil. In this research, by using gas oil and BDF, the relationship between the fuel injection pressure and the NOX exhaust characteristics was examined by testing the performance of the diesel engine with a common rail fuel injection system. As a result, it was clarified that the combustion characteristic of BDF was inferior to gas oil due to high kinematic viscosity, but the characteristic could be improved by injecting BDF with high pressure.departmental bulletin pape

The time when avoid of cyclists and cyclists was mutual avoidance.departmental bulletin pape
Detection of PM2.5 Air Pollutions by Using MODIS Data (Part 1: Differences between the Detection of PM2.5 Air Pollutions and the Detection of Dust and Sandstorms)
In recent years, PM2.5 air pollution is a social and transboundary environmental issue with the rapid economic growth in many countries. As PM2.5 is small and includes various ingredients (e.g., sulfur oxide, nitrogen oxide, vitriol, nitrate salt, soot, etc.), the detection of PM2.5 air pollutions by using satellite data is difficult compared with the detection of dust and sandstorms (DSS). DSS can be detected by using AVI method and YDI method. AVI (Aerosol Vapor Index) is defined as AVI=T12-T11, where T12 and T11 are the brightness temperatures at 12μm and 11μm wave lengths, respectively. For MODIS data, T12 and T11 correspond to band32 and band31, respectively. YDI (Yellow Dust Index) is defined as YDI=(band4-band3)/(band4+band3). AVI and YDI methods detect PM2.5 air pollutions only a little. In this paper, we examine various RGB composite color images for detecting PM2.5 air pollutions by using MODIS data, i.e., {R, G, B = band4, band3, T11}, {R, G, B = band10, band9, T11}, {R, G, B = band9, band8, T11}, {R, G, B = AVI, band7-band1, T11}, {R, G, B = AVI, band10-band9, T11}, etc. A good method for the detection of PM2.5 air pollution is {R, G, B = band10, band9, T11}. In this composite color image, PM2.5 air pollutions are represented by light purple or pink color. This proposed method is applied to the detection of PM2.5 air pollutions in the wide area from China and India to Japan by using MODIS data on 12 January 2013, and AVI method is applied to DSS detection in the same area. By comparing the AVI image with the image by the proposed method, PM2.5 air pollutions can be distinguished from DSS. The proposed method is simpler than the method by Nagatani et al. (2013), and is useful to grasp the distribution of PM2.5 air pollutions in the wide area.departmental bulletin pape

About the Poetry Translation in the Japanese version of "Koromu"(for Example of the Translation to Koryoka by Sohe ITO)
The Japanese redologist Sohe Ito made great achievements in Janpanese redological studies. Being well aware of the subjectivity of literature translation, he aimed to show the Chinese classic masterpiece in domestication translation in his full-text translation to Kouroumu. This kind of effort is expressed typically in the translation to the oral poem of Koryoka, which reveals the difficulties in poem translation. In his Japanese translation of Kouroumu, Sohe Ito made every effort to decrease the language barrier that may be caused by the cultural difference by using language in Japanese own style, but it also leads to the loss of profound language information and cultural connotations from the original text.departmental bulletin pape
An Approach for Realization of Low Carbon Society and Revitalization of Mountainous Area by Nano Hydroelectric Generator
A demonstration experiment of pico size hydroelectric power generation was performed in Kamiajimi area, Fukui-city from 2012. In this report, the installation activity of nano size hydroelectric power generation illumination that we did in 2014 will be presented. A nano size hydroelectric generator using a bicycle wheel with a hub dynamo and the LED illumination unit using power LED elements was developed. A workshop to make nano size hydroelectric generators was held with residents of Kamiajimi area. Two sets of nano size hydroelectric power generation illumination were installed respectively in 6 villages in Kamiajimi area. A lamp of 5 linked nano size hydroelectric generation illumination which becomes the symbol of this project was installed in a village, which is used as a gate lamp of the assembly hall. A forum was held to think about energy problems in a mountainous area.departmental bulletin pape
Robot-mediated Exercise Promotion Program for Elderly People
In areas where it snows a lot in winter, the elderly people cannot go out for exercise, so that they have a loss of motor ability and high risk of falling. The falling is one of the causes of bedridden state. In order to solve this issue, we develop a system which can facilitate indoor exercises for the elderly people. In this system, we use compact-size robots and pedaling electrical generator for the exercise motivation. In this research, we have performed a verification test in a care facility in order to determine whether this exercise system is practical or not.departmental bulletin pape
The Factors Related to the Career Development in Middle School Students: Relations among Self-Esteem, Career Skills and Critical Thinking Abilities
This study examined the factors related to the career development through questionnaires for 7th to 9th grade students (N=447) in a middle school. The results demonstrated that 7th grade students significantly indicated higher levels of self-esteem and the logical thinking factor of critical thinking abilities than other grades, and the self-esteem was positively correlated with career skills in all grades. On the other hand, only some factors of critical thinking abilities were positively correlated with self-esteem in 8th and 9th grades. From the results, this study revealed that it is necessary to design and implement the career education program based on career developmental tasks and the factors related to career development in every grade.departmental bulletin pape
