    Get PDF
This paper considers of the change of Samurai's Premises with the salary reduction of Jyokyo three years. A person of dismissal with the salary reduction was 288 people, and the immigrant was 51 people. It was dismissed 191 people intermediate samurai's less than 300Koku and the low-class samurai's. The person of large number of dismissal lived in the perimeter of the Fukui Castle Town. In contrast, there are only four people of dismissal in the center of the Fukui Castle Town. As for the immigrant, of the aide of Tunamasa MATUDAIRA were picked. Kozaemon TAKADA and Sakonuemon NARA who lived in Keya-Cho moved in the unoccupied house of the center of the Fukui Castle Town. The center of the Fukui Castle Town comes back to the samurai's premises by Syotoku four years.departmental bulletin pape

Using Simplified Movement Analysis of Experienced Swimmers : a Practical Report Regarding Instruction in Diving Movements

    Get PDF
Using local experienced swim teams, we conducted trials to improve upon diving movements by utilizing simplified movement analysis. In this paper, we report our results. We conducted the following process with 12 experienced swimmers in the Ishikawa Prefecture. 1. Instructor and researcher recorded videos to be used to analyze diving movements by using a single consumer-grade video camera 2. Instructor uploaded these videos to a shared folder on the cloud 3. Researchers then downloaded and analyzed the videos 4. Researchers input the angle of incidence and movement track of the center of gravity (i.e., at the waist) and performed reproduction processing; next, researchers uploaded the videos where the problems are input (i.e., analytical results) to the video distribution site 5. Finally, each athlete viewed the videos using their home computer and/or smartphones to understand problem areas to work on for their next practice By following the procedure above, visual feedback was provided by analyzing the current situations and the problem areas athletes had with their own diving movements. By utilizing the cloud and the video distribution site and conveying information efficiently between researchers and athletes, we conclude that providing feedback motivated experienced swimmers to practice more and further enhance their athletic abilities.departmental bulletin pape

Analyzing the Impact of Visual Aids on Complexity, Accuracy, and Fluency in English L2 Learners' Discourse: A Case Study

    Get PDF
The design and implementation of tasks which will expand and develop students' knowledge or ability to use a language is the fundamental function of the language instructor. Knowing how the design of the tasks will affect the learners' output can offer us valuable insights which will in turn help to create focused activities in accordance with the instructor's goals. This study examines the effect that introducing a visual aid, a common practice in many language classrooms, has on the language production of two higher intermediate learners of English.departmental bulletin pape

The Study on the Water Environment of the Kuratani River

    Get PDF
According to the Fukui Prefecture environmental report, Kuratani River BOD of the living environment item in the environmental standards, has always been ranked the worst 3. In this study, we conducted a survey and study its causes. As a result, the impact on the water quality of the Kuratani River, drainage from the paper mill near the Okamoto River has been suggested as the cause. It should be noted, Okamoto River is a tributary of the Kuratani River. Moreover, it was suggested that affects quality of domestic wastewater. Therefore, in order to preserve the water environment of Kuratani River it is considered that there is a need for wastewater and life drainage measures of the paper mill.departmental bulletin pape

The Student Guidance Office 2015 Annual Report

    Get PDF
This reports statistics and activities in the student guidance office as 2015 annual report. From the statistical results, the number of students to support in students guidance office has been increasing for this 11 years. It addressed a variety of students' problems from learning and career to developmental disorder and mental disease. Two reasons can be drawn from these findings. First, it suggested that there was an increased number of users in the student guidance office as a result of implementing both UPI test and post-interview during health checkup. Second, the student guidance office is widely recognized on campus, thus the counselor can collaborate closely with other faculties and staffs.departmental bulletin pape

Validation of Extraction Methods of Marine Debris in the Ocean Using Satellite Remote Sensing

Multi-home environment, where a terminal is connected to a number of networks through multiple interfaces, is prevailing. For such a situation, IETF has standardized Multipath TCP (MPTCP), which has been introduced into commercially available operating systems. While conventional TCP can utilize only a single path, MPTCP can utilize multiple paths simultaneously and improve throughput as well as reliability. Since MPTCP segments application data into a number of blocks and distributes them over multiple paths, the receiving side of MPTCP has to perform resequencing function which reassembles received blocks to recover original data. This resequencing requires a large number of buffers to attain high throughput. This paper investigates the performance of MPTCP from the view point of the resequencing function and associated volume of buffers by using network simulator ns-2.departmental bulletin pape

Performance Evaluation in Right and Left Alternation Turning of Small Race Cars

    Get PDF
The basic motions of a car are "run", "turn", and "stop". Among these performances, turning performance affects the running speed and the competition results of the race car. In previous research, driving tests were conducted by a circumference road turning using the small race car to confirm the influence on the turning performance caused by the change in the tire inflation pressure and the damping force of its shock absorber mounted on the suspension. And appropriate tire inflation pressure for running the race cars with a little load movement was clarified. However, the turning speed influenced by the change in the damping force of the shock absorber was little. In this research, the turning performance by a slalom run of the small race car with the load movement for right and left alternation was evaluated, and the influence of the damping force was confirmed.departmental bulletin pape

Examine the Dynamic Balance Ability during One Leg Standing in Female University Soccer Player

    Get PDF
This study examines the ability to stand with the manipulating and supporting legs and their laterality by examining 12 female competitive soccer player and 12 female general university students. Dynamic balance was evaluated by the level of stability achieved on an unstable stool. The parameter selected was the fluctuation index. The results of a two-way ANOVA (group × leg) showed a significant difference in both the group and leg factors. The total angle fluctuation level was lower in the soccer group than in the general student group for both legs; furthermore, it was lower in the manipulating leg than in the supporting leg for the general student group. In conclusion, the dynamic balance of the competitive soccer players was superior to the general students for both the manipulating and supporting leg. Additionally, for the general students, the dynamic balance on the manipulating leg was superior to that on the supporting leg for only general student.departmental bulletin pape

Experimental Study on Effect of Quantity of Cotters on Precast Reinforced Concrete Core Walls

    Get PDF
Precast core walls are considered effective for construction because they can be built more quickly than cast-in-place core walls. In this study, lateral loading tests were conducted on wall columns simulating the corner and the area near the corner of an L-shaped core wall with horizontal tied rebars. The specimen consisted of four square-section precast columns. The vertical joints between the precast columns were grouted with high-strength mortar. Each precast column had cotters at the vertical joint, and horizontal tied rebars were concentrated at the second and third floor levels, and the mid height level of the first story. Based on the results of lateral loading tests, the effect of quantity of cotters was clarified.departmental bulletin pape

Experimental Study on Structural Performance of Precast Reinforced Concrete Core Wall with a Small Quantity of Cotters

In the core wall system in high-rise buildings, precast core walls are effective for construction because they can be built more quickly than cast-in-place core walls. In this study, a lateral loading test was conducted on a wall column simulating the corner and the area near the corner of an L-shaped core wall with a small quantity of cotters. The wall column was divided into precast columns, and horizontal tied rebars were concentrated at the second and third floor levels, and the mid height level of the first story. Based on the results of lateral loading tests, the structural performance of the wall column with a small quantity of cotters was clarified.departmental bulletin pape
