Get PDFIn Fukui prefecture there are various traditional crafts and industrial technology cultivated through the period of high growth. However, with the lack of successors now, people, techniques and things that inherit that technology are being lost. The author continued interviewing Mr. Keibun Fujii, who is the former representative of the NPO “General incorporated association Kichizukuri Fukui" and is the present representative of "General incorporated association of Marginal settlement A43". He is making charcoal kilns at a marginal settlement. The author recorded his activities at the settlement on the video. Deformation Capacity of Precast Reinforced Concrete Core Wall with Small Shear Span Ratio
Get PDFIn the core wall system in high-rise buildings, precast core walls are effective for construction because they can be built more quickly than cast-in-place core walls. In this study, a lateral loading test was conducted on a wall column simulating the corner and the area near the corner of an L-shaped core wall with small shear span ratio. The wall column was divided into precast columns, and horizontal tied rebars were concentrated at the second floor level and the mid height level of the first story. Based on the results of lateral loading tests, the deformation capacity of the wall column with a small quantity of horizontal tied rebars, cotters and small shear span ratio was clarified.departmental bulletin pape
Fundamental Study on Magnetic Separation Method of Paramagnetic Substance Using the Control of Particles Diameter and Magnetic Force
Get PDFRemoval of radioactive crud in the nuclear power plant will become one of the most important issues. The effective technique, which is applicable at high-temperature area in the nuclear power plant does not exist. We focused on the magnetic property of the targeted crud materials and found they shows paramagnetism and hence high gradient magnetic separation (HGMS) was studied to remove the cruds in the nuclear power plant. In this study, we made a removal experiment of Hematite which simulated the cruds by means of high gradient magnetic separation. The magnetic separation experiment was conducted under constant flow velocity. We controlled pH and Zeta potential of the Hematite suspension to be dispersed. Discrimination Methods of Asian Dust, PM2.5 and Clouds Using MODIS Data
Get PDFAsian dust (i.e., dust and sandstorm: DSS) can be detected by AVI method. AVI is defined as AVI=T12-T11, where T12 and T11 are the brightness temperatures at 12μm and 11μm wave lengths, respectively. But AVI method cannot detect PM2.5 air pollution. The PM2.5 detection methods {R, G, B = band10, band 9, T11}, etc. using MODIS data can detect PM2.5, but are not suitable for DSS detection. In this paper, we propose the simple methods for the discrimination of DSS, PM2.5 and clouds {R, G, B = AVI, band10+band 9, T11}, etc. In these composite color images, DSS is displayed in pink, and PM2.5 is displayed in light blue, and clouds are displayed in green, red or purple.departmental bulletin pape

The Student Guidance Office 2018 Annual Report
Get PDFThis article reported statistics and some activities in the student guidance office as 2018 annual report. The number of counseling decreased from last year, but it showed higher rate than the average rate of it reported from Japanese Association of Student Counseling. This was assumed to result in the efforts such as the following 1) universal screening assessment using UPI and interview simultaneously, 2) specific support and assistance in response to each student's need as well as counseling and 3) close collaboration with other faculties and staffs. It is necessary to consider reference points what select students who should interview and an appropriate timing when contact students after UPI screening assessment.departmental bulletin pape
