INVESTIGATES HOW INTRINSIC AND EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION INFLUENCE PARTICIPATION IN MATHEMATICS EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IN BEIJING'S ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
AI assistance and rewards (extrinsic motivation), predict participation in MEAs As mathematics remains a foundational component of STEM education, encouraging early participation in mathematics extracurricular activities (MEAs) is increasingly seen as a strategy to deepen interest and strengthen skills outside of the formal classroom. This study investigates the predictive roles of intrinsic motivation (e.g., enjoyment, curiosity, and pride in math) and extrinsic motivation (e.g., parental encouragement, rewards, and recognition) in shaping participation in MEAs among elementary students in Beijing’s Chaoyang District. Guided by Self-Determination Theory and Expectancy-Value Theory, the research employed a quantitative approach involving 200 students aged 9–13 from five public elementary schools. Data were collected using a structured Likert-scale questionnaire, and analyzed through descriptive statistics, Spearman correlation, and multiple regression analysis. Results revealed that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation were strongly and positively correlated with participation in MEAs. However, multiple regression analysis showed that extrinsic motivation was the stronger and statistically significant predictor, while the effect of intrinsic motivation was weaker and not significant when both variables were analyzed together. These findings suggest that, within this population, external support mechanisms such as rewards, competitions, and adult encouragement play a more influential role than internal interest in driving participation. The study highlights the importance of leveraging extrinsic motivators to promote involvement in math ECAs during early education, while gradually nurturing intrinsic interest to support long-term mathematical development
Chitosan as a Bone Graft Biomaterial Enhances Osteogenesis after Tooth Extraction: A Systematic Literature Review
Tooth extraction often results in changes to the dimensions of the alveolar ridge due to resorption, which can affect the stability and comfort of dental prostheses. Socket preservation efforts are crucial for preventing bone resorption and supporting the regeneration of both soft and hard tissues. Chitosan, a biomaterial derived from crustacean exoskeletons, has shown potential as a scaffold and graft material for bone regeneration. With its biocompatible, biodegradable, and antibacterial properties, chitosan supports osteogenesis through its osteoconductive, osteoinductive, and osteogenic capabilities. Additionally, the cationic nature of chitosan allows interaction with bacterial cell membranes, preventing infection and facilitating the transformation of macrophages from pro-inflammatory to anti-inflammatory types. This systematic literature review evaluates the benefits of chitosan in bone regeneration after tooth extraction. The study employed a PRISMA flow diagram to select relevant literature, resulting in 15 studies meeting the inclusion criteria. The findings indicate that chitosan significantly enhances osteoblast activity, accelerates new bone formation, and supports bone healing during the inflammatory, reparative, and remodeling phases without toxicity or risk of disease transmission. Thus, chitosan presents an innovative solution for bone regeneration in clinical dental practice. This study demonstrates that chitosan is an effective natural material for supporting bone healing after tooth extraction. It helps increase bone cell activity, speeds up new bone growth, and prevents infection. These findings support the use of chitosan as a safe and promising option for improving dental bone regeneration
INTEGRATION OF TRADITIONAL GAMES IN EARLY CHILDHOOD LEARNING AT PAUD INSTITUTIONS
Traditional games, as cultural heritage, contain noble values and have great potential to support the early childhood learning process. Early childhood education prioritizes learning through-play methods as this approach aligns with children's natural tendency to play. Through play, children acquire and process new information while honing their existing skills. This study discusses the importance of integrating traditional games for early childhood in PAUD institutions. Traditional games serve not only as entertainment but also as an effective learning method to holistically develop various aspects of child development. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study examines the implementation of traditional games in PAUD institutions and their benefits for early childhood development. The findings reveal that games such as Congklak, Engklek, and Lompat Tali are effective in stimulating integrated development across cognitive, motoric, social-emotional, and language domains. Furthermore, the study observed that these games foster cooperation, turn-taking, emotional regulation, and the cultivation of moral values like honesty and respect, while also strengthening children's cultural identity. In conclusion, this study affirms that traditional games are potent, culturally-grounded pedagogical tools. Therefore, it is recommended that PAUD institutions apply this in their teaching and learning process
EMPOWERING TEACHERS FOR THE DIGITAL AGE: PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PEDAGOGICAL INNOVATION IN EDUCATION TRANSFORMATION
The study examines the role of a teacher in the digital age, empowered by professional development and pedagogical innovations. Furthermore, the teacher can enable mechanisms that will change the face of the education system. Utilizing secondary qualitative data taken from peer-reviewed journals, academic articles, and reports published between 2020 and 2025, this research examines how continuous professional development CPD improves teachers’ digital competencies and confidence to integrate technology in the classroom. Another aspect of the study has analyzed how pedagogical innovation helps improve teaching efficacy and student engagement learning outcomes while also identifying the barriers to the adoption of digital devices and innovative pedagogical practice among educators. The research finds that technology has made the educational path more creative and interactive. It helped the students to think and practice beyond the bookish knowledge. Teachers must be trained in the use of technology. It must be used wisely so that it does not hurt the learning process of students. Educational leaders must be digitally empowered to foster the learning process. Pedagogical creativity has been suggested at the end of this study, which helped the future students as well as teachers for enhancing the culture of learning
Achievements of The Pre-Marital Screening Program at The Denpasar Barat I Public Health Center
The prospective bride and groom are strategic targets for health improvement during the preconception period. Public awareness of preconception health is still low. Counseling, information, and education are highly needed by prospective brides and grooms, especially as they prepare for a healthy pregnancy. The research method was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews using a structured interview guide. The data was validated using data triangulation. Based on input indicators, the administrative staff needed includes midwives, doctors, laboratory analysts, health promotion personnel, and village heads/village staff. HRM competencies include knowledge, the premarital screening process, SOPs, and screening fees. The performance of program implementers is evaluated by the reproductive health program holders, cluster 2 managers, coordinating midwives, and health center heads. The source of funds comes from the State Budget and Regional Budgets, including the implementation of the premarital screening program. The target group is very supportive of the screening program. Based on process indicators, there are no supervision procedures yet. The planning SOP is approved by the head of the health center. The organization follows the SOP, which aligns with the work program in Cluster 2. The coverage of the premarital screening program is measured through reporting from the Kescatin application. Based on output indicators, whether the premarital screening program requirements have been met or not is only assessed based on the health certificates issued by the Puskesmas for the prospective bride and groom. It is hoped that the Puskesmas (Community Health Centers) will need to improve the quality of the premarital screening program by arranging a strategic plan to enhance the performance of program implementers and facilities and by collaborating with various sectors to achieve the set targets and goals
In Vitro Effectiveness Test of Anti Acne Gel Formula in Combination With Natural Ingredients
he development of this research aims to evaluate the antibacterial potential and formulation of Kaempferia galanga L. and Alpinia galanga L., which are plants containing ethyl para-methoxy cinnamate, flavonoids, polyphenols, and essential oils with potential antibacterial activity. The purpose of this study is to produce a stable gel formulation and determine its effectiveness. The simplicia was extracted using the maceration method with 70% ethanol as the solvent. The antibacterial activity of the extract was tested using the agar diffusion method at a concentration of 10%, followed by gel formulation with varying concentrations of the gelling agent, after which its effectiveness was assessed. The activity test results showed an inhibition zone of 9.63 mm for kencur and 10.3 mm for galangal, while the combination extract produced an inhibition zone of 12.14 mm. A stable formula was obtained at a concentration of 1.5% Carbopol 940 with an inhibitory effectiveness of 11.62 mm (Kaempferia galanga L. : Alpinia galanga L. ratio = 3 : 1), which is classified as having strong antibacterial activity
PENGARUH PROFITABILITAS, LEVERAGE, FREE CASH FLOW, LIKUIDITAS DAN UKURAN PERUSAHAAN TERHADAP KEBIJAKAN DIVIDEN
Distribusi laba tidak sekadar persoalan teknis pembagian keuntungan, melainkan cerminan preferensi manajerial dalam menyeimbangkan kepentingan pemegang saham dan kebutuhan pembiayaan internal. Pada sejumlah bank yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia sepanjang 2022–2024, ekspansi laba dan aset ternyata tidak selalu diterjemahkan menjadi peningkatan dividen. Ketegangan antara kinerja akuntansi dan kebijakan distribusi laba tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa keputusan dividen tidak sepenuhnya digerakkan oleh capaian finansial jangka pendek. Bagi investor, kondisi ini menjadi krusial karena dividen berfungsi sebagai representasi kredibilitas manajemen sekaligus proyeksi keberlanjutan usaha. Dengan memanfaatkan data 18 perusahaan perbankan yang memenuhi kriteria seleksi selama periode pengamatan, hubungan antara karakteristik keuangan dan kebijakan dividen diuji melalui regresi linier berganda. Temuan empiris memperlihatkan bahwa kemampuan menghasilkan laba dan ketersediaan arus kas bebas berperan dominan dalam mendorong pembayaran dividen, sementara struktur pendanaan, tingkat likuiditas, dan skala perusahaan tidak menunjukkan peran yang menentukan. Keterbatasan ruang lingkup tersebut membuka peluang bagi kajian lanjutan untuk melibatkan spektrum emiten yang lebih luas serta memasukkan dimensi peluang investasi, tata kelola, dan tanggung jawab sosial guna memperoleh gambaran yang lebih utuh
Implementasi Manajemen Program Parenting dalam Memperkuat Peran Keluarga dalam Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini
Peran keluarga dalam pendidikan anak usia dini semakin diperlukan seiring semakin kompleksnya kebutuhan perkembangan anak dan tuntutan keterlibatan orang tua dalam layanan PAUD. Kajian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bagaimana manajemen program parenting diimplementasikan melalui pendekatan POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, dan Controlling) serta bagaimana penerapan manajemen tersebut berkontribusi terhadap penguatan peran keluarga. Penelitian menggunakan metode tinjauan pustaka dengan menelaah artikel yang relevan dengan manajemen program parenting dan keterlibatan keluarga dalam PAUD. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan program yang berbasis kebutuhan keluarga, pengorganisasian yang melibatkan seluruh pemangku kepentingan, dan pelaksanaan program yang fleksibel serta partisipatif te rbukti meningkatkan kualitas interaksi orang tua dan anak di rumah maupun partisipasi di sekolah. Namun, evaluasi program belum sepenuhnya optimal karena terdapat lembaga yang belum memiliki instrumen monitoring yang terukur dan belum sepenuhnya memanfaatkan hasil evaluasi sebagai dasar perbaikan berkelanjutan. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan manajemen program parenting yang komprehensif melalui POAC mampu memperkuat kolaborasi antara sekolah dankeluarga dan berpotensi meningkatkan dukungan orang tua terhadap proses pendidikan anak usia dini
Edukasi Siswa/i SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi Melalui Pendampingan dan Pelatihan Karakterisasi Tanaman Lokal Sebagai Bahan Baku Obat
Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di era modern menuntut generasi muda memiliki kemampuan literasi sains, berpikir kritis, dan kreatif. Oleh karena itu, Klub Sains hadir sebagai wadah untuk menggali potensi sains secara praktis, menyenangkan, dan relevan dengan isu global yang dapat menjadi wadah pengembangan ide-ide inovatif berbasis sains. Tanaman lokal sebagai bahan baku obat memiliki peran yang penting dalam perkembangan budaya dan kesehatan masyarakat Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan tanaman obat lokal sebagai alat pembelajaran, siswa dapat belajar tentang botani, kimia, kesehatan, serta sejarah dan budaya lokal. Oleh karena itu setiap sekolah pada umumnya memiliki kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dimana SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi, terletak di Desa Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung, merupakan sekolah umum negeri yang membentuk ekstrakurikuler klub sains sebagai wadah siswa/i untuk menuangkan ide pemikiran mereka secara saintifik, dan pengembangan ide ide inovatif yang disusun dalam bentuk artikel ilmiah. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya klub sains mengalami beberapa kendala dan untuk terus dapat mengikuti dan meraih juara dalam berbagai lomba olimpiade maupun lomba penulisan artikel ilmiah lainnya karena kurang optimalnya penggunaan laboratorium. Sehingga TIM PKM melakukan sosialisasi dalam optimalisasi laboratorium; melakukan pendampingan tentang kegiatan ilmiah yang berbasis praktek; pendampingan pengenalan peralatan untuk karakterisasi tanaman lokal sebagai bahan baku obat dan pendampingan pengujian antimikroba secara mikrobiologi. Hasil PKM menunjukkan bahwa rata rata nilai pre test dan pos test pada pendampingan dan pelatihan optimalisasi laboratorium adalah meningkat sebesar 81%; pemahaman pengetahuan dan ketrampilan mengenai karakterisasi tanaman local sebagai bahan dasar obat meningkat sebesar 83% dan melakukan pengujian ekstrak tanaman local sebagai antimikroba dengan metode cakram disc sebesar 82%
How To Handling The Guest Complaint
Abstract: Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan manajemen, karyawan, serta trainee di The Sankara Suites and Villas Ubud, Gianyar, Bali, khususnya dalam hal mengatasi keluhan tamu (how to handling the guest complaint). Sebagai salah satu industri terbesar, pariwisata di Bali memberikan dampak signifikan , dan upaya peningkatan guest satisfaction merupakan prioritas, terutama dalam menghadapi fenomena revenge tourism pasca-pandemi. Ketidakpuasan tamu terhadap fasilitas maupun pelayanan yang diberikan dapat memicu keluhan, dan penanganan yang efektif menjadi sangat penting. Kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk sinergisitas dan kerjasama antara The Sankara Suites and Villas dengan Program Studi D4 Manajemen Perhotelan Universitas Dhyana Pura. Materi pelatihan berfokus pada Penerapan CHSE, Pemahaman Understanding Guest Complaint Behaviour, Pemahaman Problem Solving Case Study, Pengertian Handling The Guest Complaint, dan Pelatihan serta Pendampingan Prosedur Roleplay and Problem Solving Case Study. Pelaksanaan pengabdian melibatkan 50 peserta yang terdiri dari pegawai dan trainee The Sankara Suites and Villas Ubud. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 dan 26 Juni 2025. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan bahwa program ini mendapat respon positif dan antusias dari seluruh peserta. Peserta mendapatkan tambahan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang signifikan, khususnya dalam menangani keluhan tamu, penerapan CHSE, dan Problem Solving. Saran keberlanjutan dari peserta mencakup pelatihan di bidang lain seperti bahasa Inggris, pembuatan roti, dan spa, serta perlunya pemantauan berkal
