Jemdet Nasr field diapositives, 1988-1989
The dataset consists of digitised copies of original Kodachrome diapositives taken during the 1988 and 1989 seasons of excavation at the site of Jemdet Nasr, located in southern Iraq (32.717°N 44.779°E). The excavation was carried out in 1988 and 1989 under the direction of Roger J. Matthews. The excavation was funded by the British School of Archaeology in Iraq, of which Matthews was the director at the time. The diapositives include stills of fieldwork activity, archaeological features, objects in situ and after processing in the on-site laboratory, as well as images of local individuals building a traditional reed house and stills of sealing impressions taken by Matthews at the Iraq Museum in Baghdad (mainly dating to the 4th millennium BC). Due to the onset of the Gulf War in 1990, excavations were halted permanently and only preliminary reports were published of the two seasons. The purpose of the digitisation project is to allow for better integration of the material through open access publication and a dedicated website
Post-processed reforecasts of the European Flood Awareness System and related evaluation data
This dataset contains the twice-weekly post-processed reforecasts for years 2017 and 2018. These reforecasts were created by post-processing the Copernicus Emergency Management Service's European Flood Awareness System (EFAS) reforecasts. The post-processing method used is the operational method for the EFAS (Oct 2021). These post-processed reforecasts were used in the evaluation of the post-processing method. Additional data used in the evaluation is also included. The python code used in the evaluation is provided. The python scripts contain functions for the calculation of verification metrics for both the post-processed and the non-post-processed reforecasts
An eddy tracking dataset for N512-12, N216-12 and N216-025 model configurations of HadGEM3-GC3.1
Closed coherent mesoscale eddies are identified and tracked daily in the global ocean for 20 years from sea surface height (SSH) using an eddy tracking algorithm,
described by Moreton et al., 2020. The dataset provided here supplies the properties associated with each eddy: the latitude, longitude, radius, amplitude, number of days the
eddy is tracked for and model time. Eddies are tracked in three coupled climate model HadGEM3-GC3.1 configurations: N512-12, N216-12 and N216-12

This dataset contains data obtained from experimental work in the physical properties laboratory and Sensory Science Centre of the Department of Food and Nutritional Science of the University of Reading. The data was obtained using the rheometer (viscosity, frequency sweeps, temperature ramps), texture analyser (hardness, stickiness, etc.), moisture balance, water activity meter, colorimeter and the trained sensory panel. Data replicates are presented in the same columns
A twice-daily barometric pressure record from Durham Observatory in north-east England, 1843-1960
This dataset consists of twice-daily observations of barometric pressure from Durham Observatory (54.768 °N, 1.584 °W, barometer cistern 107.3 m above mean sea level, MSL) from 23 July 1843 to 31 December 1960. The Durham record, which is 98.7% complete, is by far the longest digital barometric pressure series in northern England, and fills a very large temporal and spatial gap in the International Surface Pressure Database (ISPD).

Narratives of Asian women migrant teachers in Dubai: exploring the challenges of teaching in a contrasting pedagogical and cultural context
This dataset contains twenty semi-structured interviews with ten early years teachers in Dubai. They were all migrant teachers originally from either Philippines, Pakistan, India or Sri Lanka. Each teacher was interviewed twice, using a semi-structured format allowing for differences and similarities in their experiences to be explored. The interviews lasted between 50 minutes and 1 hour 20 minutes. The interviews were conducted in English, recorded using Otter and transcribed by the researcher.
The data was collected as the research for a thesis that explored the professional journeys of Asian women migrant teachers when they relocate to teach in the early years sector in Dubai

This data set forms the basis of the thesis "Exploring the mechanistic rationale of plant-pollinator communication disruption by ozone". The database is split by chapter; chapter 3 melded rate of reaction modelling (excel®) with EAG experimental data (EagPro®). Chapter 4 saw GC-MS data (Xcalibur®/Chemstation®) melded with EAG experimental data (EagPro®) and also contains NMR details of an attempted synthesis. Chapter 5 contains secondary organic aerosol data (SOA) collected using SMPS (AIM®)as well as EAG experimental data 3(EagPro®)
Speciation and adulteration analysis of milk by liquid AP-MALDI MS profiling
AP-MALDI MS profiling coupled with multivariate analysis for speciation and the detection of food adulteration using a simple one-pot sample preparation of milk.
Milk samples from cow, goat, sheep and camel were classified with 100% accuracy. With respect to milk adulteration, it was possible to detect goat milk adulterated with 5% cow milk with 92.45% sensitivity and 94.53% specificity. Goat milk adulterated with 10% cow milk was detected with 99.15% sensitivity and 99.10% specificity
Semantic context effects in Bengali-English bilingual and English monolingual speakers
We investigated the contribution of linguistic and executive control processes in semantic context effects for young healthy Bengali-English bilingual and English monolingual speakers. We collected blocked-cyclic naming data, executive control data and background measures to characterize each participant. This dataset contains the blocked-cyclic naming data as well as Stroop data in English from 25 Bengali-English bilinguals and 25 English monolinguals. The data from the blocked-cyclic naming task was collected using audio recorder, later transcribed orthographically. Demographic information and vocabulary testing data were collected using paper and pen tasks. Executive control tasks were assessed using computer-based tasks and were programmed and delivered using E-Prime. The groups were matched for receptive vocabulary, age, education and non-verbal intelligence.
These data could be used by future researchers to answer their specific questions regarding blocked-cyclic naming performances amongst different language users (e.g., monolinguals vs. bilinguals) as well as cognitive and linguistic underpinnings of the task (e.g., executive control measures, vocabulary measures).
