The curriculum at SMPIQu Al-Bahjah Cirebon faces a challenge in integrating the formal, official curriculum with the non-formal pesantren (Islamic boarding school) curriculum. This disconnect has resulted in the pesantren curriculum becoming somewhat "hidden" or underrepresented. The core issue addressed in this research is how to design, implement, and evaluate the development of this hidden pesantren curriculum. Using a qualitative research method, the study draws from both primary and secondary data, collected through observation and interviews. The findings reveal a five-step approach to developing the hidden curriculum. Implementation is achieved through structured activities such as work meetings, scheduling academic activities, enhancing the management information system (SIM), improving teaching staff and student resources, strengthening students' morals, and increasing proficiency in foreign languages. The evaluation process includes supervision, regular meetings, audits, and reporting. The study concludes that effective curriculum development hinges on a morals and creed-based education, improved administrative and management systems, optimization of media as a development tool, and active participation in competitions and events. This research contributes to the formulation of strategies for developing the hidden pesantren curriculum, offering practical benefits for all stakeholders involved

The Driving Factors of Customers' Intentions to Use Micro Waqf Bank Financing: A Behavioral and Religiosity Approach

    No full text
Bank Waqaf Mikro (BWM) is a sharia-based microfinance institution whose existence is needed by the community. The basic concept of the BWM is to develop entrepreneurship among productive poor people. The BWM disburses financing which plays a very important role in encouraging the development of productive poor people's businesses. Due to the importance of the existence of the BWM, this research focuses on how to maintain the sustainability of this institution, by studying the contributor to the formation of customer intent to use BWM financing. This research uses the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) approach by involving the internal and external environment reflected in attitude/ATT, subjective norms/SN, and perceived behavioral control/PBC. In addition, this research involved the Religiosity variable (RG) as a moderating variable or reinforcement of each TPB variable. The results show that internal factors (attitude/ATT) influence customers to use financing services provided by the BWM. Meanwhile, external factors reflected in the perceived behavioral control or the ease of accessing the BWM financing products are important motivators for customers, supported by instilled religious values that can strengthen customer intent to use BWM financing products. Thus, the ATT and PBC variables have a positive and significant effect on customer intent (INT) with the RG variable proven to moderate (strengthen) the relationship between the ATT and the PBC variables

    Get PDF
This article investigates the impact of financial ratios and macroeconomics on the profitability of conventional and Islamic banks in Indonesia. The study uses financial ratios as internal variables represented by CAR (X1), NPL/NPF (X2), and LDR/FDR (X3), while macroeconomics as an external variable is represented by BI7DRR (X4). The sample design used in this study includes conventional and Islamic banks from BUKU 1 and BUKU 2 in Indonesia, utilizing EViews and SPSS as analysis tools to test the proposed hypotheses. The analysis results show that CAR, NPL, and LDR have significant impacts on the ROA of conventional banks, while BI7DRR does not have a significant effect. On the other hand, in Islamic banks, only CAR and FDR significantly influence ROA, while NPF and BI7DRR do not have significant impacts. A paired sample t-test indicates a significant difference between the profitability (ROA) of conventional and Islamic banks. Based on these findings, it is recommended that conventional banks improve their management of CAR, NPL, and LDR, while Islamic banks need to focus on managing CAR and FDR, and develop innovative Sharia-compliant investment products to attract more stable funds
