A MODEL FOR FORMING BUSINESS RESILIENCE IN INDONESIA: A FAMILY BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE
This research aims to identify a family business resilience model by considering anthropomorphism factors, innovation capabilities, and Islamic business ethics amidst slowing economic growth in Indonesia. The method used is quantitative using questionnaires and data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Respondents consisted of 180 middle to upper family business owners in Indonesia. The research results show that anthropomorphism has a significant influence on family business resilience. However, these findings also show that the application of Islamic business ethics does not have a significant relationship in moderating the relationship between anthropomorphism and family business resilience. This research provides valuable insights into how the application of anthropomorphism and innovation capabilities can significantly increase the resilience of family businesses. The insignificance of Islamic business ethics on family business resilience indicates that the application of Islamic values in business practices has not been optimal. It suggests the need for better alignment with the context of modern business and the strengthening of the implementation of Sharia principles in company operations
THE INFLUENCE OF HALAL LABELS, HALAL AWARENESS AND PRICE ON INTEREST IN ONLINE SHOPPING FOR FOOD PRODUCTS: THE ROLE OF DEMOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS AS MODERATING
Muslim customers worldwide pay close attention to the halal label as proof that the product conforms to their religious values. Halal awareness refers to how well Muslims understand matters related to halal. One very important factor that can influence shopping interest is product price. Halal labels, awareness, and Prices are important factors in increasing interest in online shopping for food products. This is based on research that tries to test and analyze the influence of halal labels, halal awareness, and prices on online shopping interest in food products, which is moderated by demographic characteristics (gender and age). The method used was the Structural Equation Modelling - AMOS with 152 FEBI UIN Ar-Raniry student respondents. The results show that halal labels and halal awareness do not significantly influence online shopping interest, while Price has a positive and significant influence. Demographic characteristics moderated this effect by 47.4%. These findings highlight that consumer behavior in online shopping is highly complex, influenced by a combination of psychological factors (halal awareness), rational factors (price), and demographic characteristics. While halal labels and awareness hold significant importance in certain contexts, they tend to be less relevant compared to economic factors such as price in the realm of online shopping, particularly when demographic characteristics serve as moderating factors
ANHA DOTHRAK CHEK ASSHEKH: THE RENDERING OPERATION OF THE INVENTED LANGUAGE DOTHRAKI INTO BAHASA INDONESIA IN GAME OF THRONES SEASON 6
This research is conducted to observe the rendering operation of L3 translation applied of Game of Thrones series Season 6, specifically focusing on two objectives: identifying the types of rendering operations used and explaining why these operations are chosen. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. Corrius and Zabalbeascoa's theory on L3 translation rendering operations serves as the framework for addressing the research questions. Data analysis employs Spradley’s componential analysis method, and the researcher verified the findings with an expert. The study identified 175 instances of Dothraki language in Game of Thrones Season 6, leading to the discovery of three distinct types of L3 translation rendering operations. There are 6 Delete L3ST (3,5%) in which the L3 in ST is omitted in TT, 16 Substitute L3ST → L2 (9,1%), which is divided into 2 conditions. There are condensation and inappropriate translation. The last is 153 Substitute L3ST (87,4%) which is divided into two conditions, defining the plot and emphasizing the characters, identity and story. The data shows that the most dominant rendering operation of L3 translation applied by the subtitler is Substitute L3ST because it is considered to be the most suitable operation that can be used as a solution in translating invented language. It is also because the subtitler accurately translated the third language into the target language, as evidenced by the consistency with the dictionary, dialogues, and scene narratives. The second finding of this research shows that there are 2 kinds of nature and degree of L3 presence. In this research, the researcher found 22 data (12,6%) of Lost which is divided into 6 causes, i.e: lack of duration, no full translation, accidental error, incorrect translation, unnecessary scene and unclear words. Also 153 data (87,4%) of Kept which is divided into 4 conditions; to define Khaleesi, define Dothraki, define Game of Thrones and define the context of the story. This means that the subtitler still wants to retain the meaning and the style of the third language
WHEN HAIR TALKS: HOW HAIRSTYLES INFLUENCE THE PERSONALITY OF THE MAIN CHARACTER IN THE K-DRAMA ADAPTATION OF THE WEBTOON PERFECT MARRIAGE REVENGE
Hair plays a crucial role in a woman's identity, serving both aesthetic and expressive purposes, and often reflecting personality traits (Cunningham et al., 1997). This study explores the changes of stereotypes associated with hair types and colors in the Korean drama adaptation entitled Perfect Marriage Revenge from a Webtoon series. Using Hutcheon's (2013) adaptation theory and Cunningham et al.'s (1997) insights on hair and personality, The research examines how haircolors in the drama adaptation differs from the original Webtoon series and how it affects the character’ss personality. Cunningham et al. (1997) suggested that hair colors influences characteristics: blonde hair is seen as feminine, attractive, and emotional, while brunette hair is linked to intelligence and structure. This qualitative study analyzes visual and textual data from both the Webtoon and K-Drama, employing a comparative method to identify differences in hairstyles and character portrayals. Findings reveal that Han Yi Joo's character undergoes a transformation influenced by changes in hair color in both the original and adapted works. The changes also happen in the personality of the same character, which means that the adaptation version takes in to account both hair color and its stereotype
