    Effect of Combined Kinetic chain exercise with Functional task training in Postmenopausal Women with knee osteoarthritis: A Case report

    Introduction: Osteoarthritis [OA] is a progressive degenerative joint disease that affects all structures of the joint. OA can affect all joints, but the most common sites are the knee, the hip and the hand. OA is an extremely prevalent rheumatic musculoskeletal disorder that affected 303 million people worldwide in 2017. Menopause is defined as the irreversible discontinuance of menstrual period due to associated decreasing ovarian functions.Case Description: We are addressing the case of a 55-year-old postmenopausal women housewife she was a farmer. The patient was started a gradually pain in her right knee since 3 years and was aggravated since 15 days who had Osteoarthritis in her right knee. We created a 12 weeks treatment plan for this patient that incorporates a number of advanced therapy techniques, including closed kinetic chain exercise with Functional task training for exercise session. We created a through rehabilitation Programme for out Patient, who had osteoarthritis in her knee, & worked incredibly well. We assessed the efficacy of our outcomes measures using a variety of outcome, including WOMAC, KOOS score, NPRS and MMT. It was found to be more beneficial to provide modern Physiotherapy approaches for improving the overall health & quality of life of the patient

    KEY GINGIVAL DIMENSIONS AND SHAPES OF MAXILLARY CENTRAL INCISORS IN A MIDDLE EAST POPULATION – A PRELIMINARY REPORT

    BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether a correlation exists between maxillary central incisor tooth shapes and various periodontal parameters, including gingival and periodontal characteristics.MATERIALS AND METHODS: Clinical measurements were recorded for 60 systemically healthy male and female individuals aged 21–35 years. Measurements included crown width (CW), crown length (CL), height of the interproximal papilla (Ph), gingival angle (GA), mesiodistal width (MDW), and contact surface length (CS) of the maxillary central incisors. Based on the crown shape, participants were categorized into three groups: tapered, square, or ovoid. These groups were analyzed for statistically significant differences in the recorded clinical parameters.RESULTS: Statistically significant differences were observed among the three tooth shape groups in papillary height, gingival angle, and contact surface length (P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: Tooth shape is significantly associated with variations in gingival angle, contact surface length, and interproximal papilla height. These correlations may serve as useful clinical guidelines in esthetic planning for restorative and prosthodontic treatments involving the maxillary central incisors

    Prawns, a group of economically valuable crustaceans commonly referred to as shrimp in trade, are widely consumed around the world and known by various local names such as Chingri, Ghinga, Kolambi, Sungata, Chemen, and Shetli. Celebrated globally for their delicate flavor, prawns are considered a culinary delicacy. They inhabit coastal areas, lakes, estuaries, and creeks, with the majority of production originating from marine environments. India ranks second only to the United States in prawn production, with Penaeus monodon (giant tiger prawn) comprising nearly 90% of the country's crustacean yield.Although prawn farming has been practiced for a long time in India and other Asian countries, it remained a relatively neglected branch of fisheries for many years. Traditionally, most prawn catches came directly from the wild, often involving juvenile specimens. In recent decades, declining wild stocks and growing demand have prompted increased attention from fisheries departments toward scientific and technical advancements in prawn aquaculture. Shrimp farming has since become a significant contributor to India’s seafood exports, generating annual foreign exchange revenues estimated between ₹70–₹80 crores.     Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has become a worldwide health danger because it makes many typical antibiotics less effective. The public health emergency stemming from resistant pathogens requires new and additional approaches for treatment. Plants produce bioactive compounds known as phytochemicals that show great potential against microorganisms because of their multiple chemical arrangements along with broad antimicrobial effect. Phytochemicals demonstrate resistance-blocking behaviours through their ability to damage microbial membranes as well as their effectiveness against biofilm development and their control of efflux pumps and their capacity to boost standard antibiotic effects. This examination details the primary groups of phytochemical substances showing antimicrobial potential namely alkaloids and flavonoids and terpenoids and phenolics and tannins while discussing their methods of combating multidrug-resistant organisms. The review explores preclinical and clinical evaluation findings that demonstrate phytochemical effectiveness as well as the use of phytochemical combinations in therapy and technical obstacles in their drug advancement.     Impact of Physical Therapy Interventions on the Gait Performance of Children with Cerebral Palsy – A Systematic Review

    One of the main causes of physical disability in children is cerebral palsy (CP), which is frequently linked to abnormalities of gait like scissoring, crouch gait, and equinus. Promising results have been obtained from physiotherapy interventions that focus on strength, motor control, and functional gait. The evidence from 35 studies assessing physiotherapy-based interventions for enhancing gait performance in children with cerebral palsy, published between 2000 and 2025, was compiled in this systematic review. Stride length, cadence, and functional mobility all showed moderate to significant gains with interventions such as task-oriented training, treadmill training, and robotic-assisted gait training. Stretching by itself had little effect, but strength and core stability exercises improved gait efficiency and decreased energy expenditure. All things considered, technology-enhanced physiotherapy interventions improve gait outcomes, but their implementation must be economical.     Erle Ellis, a modern thinker on ecology, remarks that, “Nature is gone. . . . You are living on a used planet. If this bothers you, get over it. We now live in the Anthropocene—a geological epoch in which Earth’s atmosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere are shaped primarily by human forces.”(Erle Ellis, 2009) These words show the condition of the modern world where human beings have changed the face of the earth. The rivers, forests, and air have lost their purity because of man’s selfishness. The novel The Overstory by Richard Powers presents how trees also have life and emotions like human beings. The writer shows that man and nature are connected by one common thread. The trees in the novel speak silently through their strength and patience. Jane Bennett, in her book Vibrant Matter: A Political Ecology of Things, also explains that every small thing in the world has energy and value. In this sense, The Overstory teaches people to live with nature and respect all living beings. The novel becomes a voice of harmony, care, and new hope in the world that man has already damaged.     Preparation and Evaluation of Fullerene Related Nano Carbon Phenobarbitone Conjugates for the Treatment of Epilepsy

    This research focuses on developing a novel nanocarrier-based drug delivery system for epilepsy using polyethylene glycol (PEG)-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) loaded with Phenobarbitone. The primary goal was to create a PEG–MWCNT–Phenobarbitone conjugate that enables sustained and controlled drug release, thereby enhancing therapeutic effectiveness and patient compliance. The MWCNTs were functionalized through a non-covalent method to improve their dispersion stability and drug-loading efficiency. Formulation optimization was conducted using a Design of Experiments (DOE) approach based on the Taguchi method to identify key parameters influencing performance. The conjugates were characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). FT-IR confirmed successful attachment of Phenobarbitone to the functionalized MWCNTs, while SEM images revealed distinct morphological changes on the nanotube surface after drug loading. Particle size analysis showed values ranging from 95 to 950 nm, and a zeta potential of 23 mV indicated good stability of the formulation. The drug entrapment efficiency exceeded 85%, and the cumulative in vitro drug release reached approximately 89%, suggesting an effective sustained-release profile. The experimental design employed two factors at three levels, arranged in an L27 orthogonal array to ensure comprehensive evaluation of formulation variables. The optimized formulation demonstrated notable anticonvulsant activity in the Maximal Electroshock Seizure (MES) model, reflected by a significant reduction in the tonic limb extension phase. Statistical analysis validated the consistency and reliability of the experimental data. Overall, the PEG-functionalized MWCNT–Phenobarbitone conjugate showed excellent dispersion, stability, and prolonged release characteristics, indicating its strong potential as an advanced drug delivery system for epilepsy therapy.
