In particolare vorrei sottolineare
Since a few years, scholars have been using the prosopography as a global perspective in order to help the research
on Southern Italy history. Following this new trend, I have focused my attention on the bishops and dioceses during early
Angevin reign in Southern Italy throughout my doctoral programme. I have produced brief biographies concerning the
bishops of Molise, Puglia e Basilicata attested in the period from 1266 to 1310. My intent is to provide the methodological
aspects and share the most important results of my doctoral research. In particular, I would like to underline the innovative
aspects, which I found within the complicated net of relations and interests among the local ruling classes, the Angevin
Crown and the Papacy enlightened in my work. This approach aims at being the first step for a new deal in the Ecclesiastical
studies about the diocesan institutions’ history in Southern Italy
Gioventù rivoluzionaria: Bordiga, Gramsci, Mussolini e i giovani socialisti nell'Italia liberale

Time-dependent behavior of viscoelastic three-phase composite plates reinforced by Carbon nanotubes
The recent advancement in the manufacture and analysis of Carbon nanotubes (CNT) has persuaded many researchers to use them as the reinforcing phase of a polymer matrix. Nevertheless, it should be recalled that polymers show a viscoelastic behavior, so that their mechanical properties are functions of time due to the intrinsic nature of the material. In this paper, a Maxwell rheological model is employed to describe the time-dependency of the mechanical properties of the matrix in the framework of linear viscoelasticity. The viscoelastic matrix is enriched by both CNTs and oriented fibers to obtain the so-called three-phase composite materials. Such materials represent the main constituents of the plates investigated in this paper by means of the Reissner-Mindlin theory. The transient response, which is analyzed through the Newmark's scheme, is expressed in terms of central deflection and mechanical parameters for several configurations. The effect of the mass fraction of both reinforcing phases is discussed. The solutions are achieved numerically by means of a Finite Element (FE) code which implements the viscoelastic model and the proper homogenization technique in order to deal with three-phase composites
Curved and Layered Structures
The aim of Curved and Layered Structures is to become a premier source of knowledge and a worldwide-recognized platform of research and knowledge exchange for scientists of different disciplinary origins and backgrounds (e.g., civil, mechanical, marine, aerospace engineers and architects). The journal publishes research papers from a broad range of topics and approaches including structural mechanics, computational mechanics, engineering structures, architectural design, wind engineering, aerospace engineering, naval engineering, structural stability, structural dynamics, structural stability/reliability, experimental modeling and smart structures. Therefore, the Journal accepts both theoretical and applied contributions in all subfields of structural mechanics as long as they contribute in a broad sense to the core theme
