No full textDie IFLA-Strategie 2024-2029 wird den Verband über sein hundertjähriges Bestehen hinaus und fast bis zum Ende der Agenda 2030 der Vereinten Nationen führen. Beide Meilensteine ermutigen dazu, sich auf das Langfristige zu konzentrieren, sich Klarheit über die Welt zu verschaffen, die wir sehen wollen, und über die Rolle, die Bibliotheken und IFLA spielen können. Die IFLA-Strategie 2024-2029 wurde von Mitgliedern und Freiwilligen durch Umfragen und Konsultationen gestaltet, die ihre Wahrnehmung der IFLA heute und ihre Wünsche für die Zukunft ergründen sollten. Die Strategie 2024-2029 ist nicht präskriptiv, sondern stellt vielmehr einen breiteren Rahmen dar, den jeder in unserem Bereich nutzen kann, um seine eigenen Pläne zu entwickeln. Sie bietet eine klare Vision der Welt, die wir wollen, sowie eine Theorie des Wandels, die darlegt, wie die IFLA Bibliotheken dabei unterstützen kann, dieses Ziel zu erreichen. Sie dient als ständige Referenz für die Pläne der IFLA, als Rahmen für die Messung von Fortschritten und als potenzielles Modell für die Strategieentwicklung in anderen Bereichen. Sie soll auch den Charakter der IFLA als internationale Föderation widerspiegeln, die Menschen aus unterschiedlichen Kulturen, Sprachgemeinschaften, Geografien und Erfahrungen zusammenbringt, ihnen eine Plattform bietet und Ergebnisse liefert
