No full textThe research titled "Music as a Didactics Resource for Learning the English Language
in Sixth Grade Quebrada Venado School" aims to investigate how music as a strategy
for teaching the English language can influence sixth-grade students. The combined
brewing method combines qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative stage
used narrative observation and text analysis, while the quantitative stage used non experimental and cross-sectional applied research methods to collect information in
a short period of time. 120 sixth grade students from the broken Venado school were
investigated. For data collection, a group of 65 students were selected from the
population in question to ensure an accurate representation of the affected
community. The main result of the analysis was that the majority of students believe
that music significantly affects their pronunciation and listening ability, especially in
English. 46% of respondents agreed that music improves accurate listening skills, and
52% agreed that music helps improve English listening skills. Furthermore, music has
been shown to motivate students and encourage them to actively participate in
language teaching. The most significant finding of the research is that the use of music
as a teaching tool complement and has a positive impact on the English classes while
it develops students' language skills. Music has been shown to improve students'
listening and speaking skills. Also, it motivates them to participate in the classroom.
According to research, regularly incorporating music activities can significantly

No full textEl presente trabajo de investigación está basado en la creación de una propuesta para la implementación de una estrategia, que mejore el aprendizaje y motivación de los estudiantes indígenas del Instituto Profesional y Técnico Unadrusia y que a la vez contribuya a promover el respeto por su identidad cultural, la cual tiene como finalidad beneficiar a los estudiantes de las etnias indígenas y sobre todo que mejoren el rendimiento académico, permitiéndoles que se sientan cómodos en la institución educativa, que puedan comunicarse libremente y tener una autoestima adecuada, ya que la mayoría de estos estudiantes tienen muchas dificultades para comprender los conceptos y las instrucciones en un idioma que no dominan. Esta investigación se desarrolló como una investigación descriptiva, dado que se presenta la realidad actual de los estudiantes de las etnias Emberá y Wounaan al conocer sus opiniones, necesidades y experiencias obtenidas en los espacios del Instituto Profesional y Técnico Unadrusia, el estudio tiene un diseño cuantitativo, no experimental, utilizando técnicas de recolección de datos, tales como la encuesta presencial a los estudiantes y la observación directa en el área en donde transcurren los procesos educativos; con la implementación de una estrategia integral e inclusiva. Cabe señalar, que se espera un mejoramiento en el aprendizaje y la motivación de los estudiantes indígenas pertenecientes al Instituto Profesional y Técnico Unadrusia,. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran la generación de un impacto positivo en la vida de cada estudiante y en todos los ámbitos, incluyendo el personal, académico y profesional.The present research work is based on the creation of a proposal for the implementation of a strategy that improves the learning and motivation of indigenous students at the Unadrusia Professional and Technical Institute and that at the same time contributes to promoting respect for their cultural identity. , which aims to benefit students from indigenous ethnic groups and above all to improve academic performance, allowing them to feel comfortable in the educational institution, to be able to communicate freely and to have adequate self-esteem, since the majority of these students They have great difficulty understanding concepts and instructions in a language they do not know. This research was developed as a descriptive research, given that the current reality of the students of the Emberá and Wounaan ethnic groups is presented by knowing their opinions, needs and experiences obtained in the spaces of the Unadrusia Professional and Technical Institute, the study has a quantitative design , non-experimental, using data collection techniques, such as face-to-face surveys of students and direct observation in the area where the educational processes take place; with the implementation of a comprehensive and inclusive strategy. It should be noted that an improvement is expected in the learning and motivation of indigenous students belonging to the Unadrusia Professional and Technical Institute. No full textEl propósito principal de este estudio es compartir las experiencias de lucha de 270 trabajadores panameños que se enfrentaron directamente a su país. Después de un largo y complicado proceso a través del sistema de derechos humanos estadounidense, finalmente han alcanzado su objetivo deseado, cuando se decidió considerar victoriosa a la clase obrera. Este caso es conocido en el sistema de derechos humanos estadounidense como Baena Ricardo y Otros. En Panamá se denomina así a los casos de despido de trabajadores según la Ley No. 25 del 14 de diciembre de 1990. Por tanto, esta tesis tiene importancia pedagógica y sociopolítica. En otras palabras, inicialmente será interesante describir el estudio de caso en términos que definen su proceso, secuencia lógica y delinean su enfoque hacia el sistema interamericano de derechos humanos. Al final del proceso, será interesante comprender la efectividad de las sanciones en el sistema interamericano y evaluar las lecciones aprendidas en el camino. Using Didactic Games to Enhance Teaching and Learning English in First Grader Student
No full textThe study is based on how Howard Academy students improve their
speaking, writing, and understanding the English language by using
educational games during their classes. This study will be carried out with
fifteen students to discover if the use of educational games really helps
students learn the English language.
The general objective of this study is to investigate the effectiveness
of using educational games as a teaching tool to improve the English
language learning results of first-grade students.
This is qualitative research with a case design where fifteen first-grade
students will participate, nine girls and six boys. There will be a total of three
classes. The duration of each class is forty minutes.
The game Taboo and Paper Fight were applied to represent the
didactic games, and the traditional strategy is Rote. This study involves the
analysis of the collected data, which was provided through a Google form
consisting of 11 questions and their corresponding answers. Three Google
forms were used to analyze this evaluation process. One was used with the
Traditional Rote strategy, the second Google Form was used for the didactic
game Taboo, and the third Google Form was used for the didactic game
Paper Fight.

The importance of effective corrective feedback in ESL Teaching at The International School of Panama
No full textDurante las últimas décadas, la retroalimentación correctiva ha sido objeto de exhaustivo estudio e investigación. Este tema ha suscitado una gran controversia y debates, especialmente en el contexto de las aulas de enseñanza del inglés como segundo idioma. En este estudio, se presenta una revisión minuciosa sobre la retroalimentación correctiva, abordando conceptos clave respaldados por diversas perspectivas de eminentes autores. La investigación se sumerge en las opiniones de estos expertos, ofreciendo así una visión profunda sobre la eficacia de la retroalimentación correctiva en este contexto específico.
Este estudio pretende demostrar la importancia de una retroalimentación correctiva eficaz durante la enseñanza del inglés como segundo idioma. Este estudio pretende demostrar la importancia de utilizar formas alternativas de retroalimentación correctiva como la corrección explícita, la refundición, la retroalimentación metalingüística, la repetición, la elicitación, la petición de aclaración y el lenguaje corporal. También pretende validar la importancia de un tiempo adecuado y apropiado y de la asimilación y captación por parte del alumno durante la retroalimentación correctiva. Esta investigación se centra en la información recopilada desde la perspectiva de los educadores de inglés como segundo idioma en la Escuela Internacional de Panamá (ISP).
Nuestras conclusiones y recomendaciones se derivan de los datos recopilados a través de nuestra encuesta en Google Forms. Los resultados de este estudio corroboran la importancia unánime entre los educadores: la retroalimentación correctiva efectiva es fundamental en el proceso de aprendizaje del inglés. Cuando se administra de manera apropiada y eficaz, esta técnica no solo impacta positivamente en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes, sino que también contribuye significativamente a su mejora continua.ABSTRACT
Corrective feedback has been a central focus of study and research for several decades, sparking extensive debate and discussion within ESL classrooms. This study provides a comprehensive overview of corrective feedback, exploring key concepts drawn from various authors and their diverse perspectives on its efficacy. The primary objective of this research is to underscore the indispensability of effective corrective feedback in ESL teaching.
The study aims to highlight the importance of utilizing various forms of corrective feedback, such as explicit correction, recasting, metalinguistic feedback, repetition, elicitation, requests for clarification, and non-verbal cues. Additionally, it emphasizes critical factors such as timing, student uptake, and assimilation in the delivery of corrective feedback. The research specifically draws insights from ESL educators at the International School of Panama (ISP).
Our conclusions and recommendations are rooted in the results obtained from our Google Forms survey. The findings affirm a consensus among educators that effective corrective feedback is crucial throughout the English acquisition process. No full textEntre los problemas más comentados en todos los medios se encuentran la baja alimentación, el sobrepeso y los hábitos alimenticios. Sus repercusiones en el aprendizaje de los niños los convierten en fenómenos latentes en el que se deben invertir soluciones sostenibles al alcance de todos.
En ese sentido, el huerto escolar, reúne cualidades que enmarcan múltiples beneficios y se convierte en una herramienta didáctica que contribuye a la buena alimentación en un entorno adecuado.
El presente proyecto, encaminado a la instauración del huerto escolar, en el Centro Educativo Juan José Amado, San Miguelito, se centró en el objetivo que, los niños aprendan a apreciar la naturaleza, ingerir productos libres de contaminantes, adquirir buenos hábitos conductuales y alimenticios, que se convierten en mejores oportunidades.
Para ello se utilizó una metodología cualitativa, de modo inductivo con un enfoque social, describiendo plan sistemático etapas (diagnóstica, intervención y etapa de culminación). Se identificó el problema “limitado espacio para el desarrollo del huerto”. Los instrumentos aplicados, la observación, entrevista previa y cuestionario en línea, cuyo análisis de resultados permitieron trazar alternativas, plan de actividades, recomendaciones encaminadas a la sostenibilidad del huerto escolar.
El mismo beneficia a una población de ciento noventa y un miembros del plantel, cuyos aportes son aprovechados en lo académico, nutricional, conductual y formativo socio-culturalmente, fortaleciendo el sentimiento de institucionalidad. Esto implica un compromiso colaborativo, logrando en conjunto la sostenibilidad, a fin de que, su continuidad sea provechosa a las futuras generaciones.
La propuesta cuenta con sus propios objetivos, metodología, organización y evaluación. Finalmente, se han expuesto las conclusiones obtenidas y futuras líneas de trabajo y se han referenciado todos los documentos citados a lo largo de este trabajo.Among the most talked about problems in all news medias is the poor nutrition, overweight, and feeding habits of our children. Their repercussions on our children’s education turns them into latent phenomena in which we must invest sustainable solutions at everyone’s reach.
En this sense, a school orchard, reunites qualities that bring multiple benefits and it becomes a learning tool that contributes their good nutrition in a proper environment.
The present project, headed towards the installation of a school orchard, in the education center Juan José Amado, San Miguelito, centered in the objective, of children learning to appreciate nature, consume products free of contaminants, acquire good behavioral and eating habits, which become better opportunities.
In order to do this, we utilized a qualitative methodology, in an inductive mode with a social focus, describing the systematic plan in steps (diagnosis, intervention, and culmination). We identified the problem “limited space to develop the orchard”. The instruments applied, the observation, previous interview, and online questionnaire, gave us recommendations towards the sustainability of the school orchard.
This orchard benefits a population of one hundred and ninety-one members of the school, whose support were beneficial for the academic, nutritional, behavioral and socio-cultural formation, strengthening their belonging to the institution. This implies a collaborative compromise, achieving as a team the sustainability, in order to, continue benefiting future generations.
The proposal has its own objectives, methodology, organization and evaluation.
