Using Safranine Dye for Indirect Spectrophotometric Determination of Furosemide in the Presence N-bromosuccinamide
A sensitive and accurate indirect spectroscopic method has been proposed for the determination of furosemide in acidic media. The method includes oxidation of safranin dye in the presence of N-bromosuccinimide as an oxidizing agent to form a pink-colored product that can be measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 526 nm. The molar absorbance and Sandel sensitivity were (2.4×104 L/mol.cm) and (0.0135 µg\cm) respectively, the correlation coefficient was 0.9995 with a recovery rate of 97.24%, a standard deviation of 0.867%, 0.0966 µg\ml for (LOD) and 0.322 µg\ml for (LOQ). Evaluation of Morphological and Morphometric Changes in Postnatal Ontogenesis in Uterine Fibroids
This article evaluates morphological and morphometric changes in the postnatal ontogenesis of women with uterine fibroids. The study was conducted on 30 women who were treated at the Surkhandarya regional branch of the Republican Center for Specialized Oncology and Radiology. DETECT SOME GENES (TETK, HLB AND NUC) OF STAPHYLOCOCCUS EPIDERMIDIS ISOLATED FROM ACNE VULGARIS
Introduction: Chronic acne vulgaris (AV) is a skin inflammatory condition that affects the pilosebaceous glands. Aim: Isolation and identification of Staphylococcus epidermidis from acne vulgaris in Dhi Qar city and study of some genes (tetK, hlb and nuc) of Staphylococcus epidermidis. Materials & methods: 210 specimens were collected (113 females and 97 male) from acne patients with age ranged from (14-38) years old. From August to September of 2022, a dermatologist from Thi-Qar province in Iraq used a private clinical lab to make a clinical diagnosis for the patients. Specimen were taken from the forehead, cheek, and chin of the patients. 70% ethanol was used to sanitize the sampling site. Transport media was employed to collect the samples. A lancet was used to make a scrape on the lesion's surface, and the fluid was then removed with light hand pressure in order to remove and extract the closed comedones and the papules. Results: It was discovered that 87 (41.4%) of the total samples showed positive results for the growth of S. epidermidis in the best cultured media, including blood agar, mannitol agar, and MacConkey agar. Out of all the samples, 123 (58.6%) showed negative results for S. epidermidis growth. Staphylococcus epidermidis showed total resistance to Penicillin, Oxacillin and Cefoxitin and total sensitive to Nitrofurantoin. The results of PCR assay revealed that 75 (86.2%) of S. epidermidis isolates giving positive results for tetK gene. Despite the fact the hlb gene finds in percentage 21 (24.1%), while 42 (48.3%) of S. epidermidis harbored nuc gene, as represented in Table (4-6). The whole genomic DNA of S. epidermidis isolates

STUDY SOME VIRULENCE FACTORS AND ANTIBIOTIC SUSCEPTIBILITY OF SOME CANDIDA SPP. ISOLATED FROM DIFFERENT CLINICAL SITES
The current study aimed to study some virulence factors and test the antibiotic susceptibility of some fungi isolated from different clinical sites. This study was conducted in the Postgraduate Studies Laboratory / College of Science - University of Kirkuk. (220) samples were collected from chronic wound infections for patients hospitalized in Kirkuk General Hospital and Azadi Teaching Hospital in the city of Kirkuk. Each group included (69) samples from bed sore patients and (62) Samples from surgical infections (58) samples from diabetic foot patients and (31) samples from burn patients in the period between September to November 2023. Three types of yeast were isolated and diagnosed: Candida albicans, Candida tropical, and Candida krusei, and the most frequent ones were It is the yeast C. albicans, with 28(50%), Candida tropical, 18(32%), and C. krusei, 10(18%). Regarding virulence factors, C. albicans yeast showed the ability to form germ tubes and chlamydial spores. Chlamydospore formation While C. krusei and C. tropicalis were able to form surface growth on SDB liquid medium, the types of yeast showed different colors by growing them on chromo agar, as C. albicans was light green and C. krusei was pink. Light while C. tropicalis yeast has a metallic blue color. Regarding the drug sensitivity test, the results showed that all types of yeast were sensitive to the antibiotic Nystatin, reaching the diameters of inhibition. As for Amphotericin, all types of yeast were sensitive to it, and it was the most effective antibiotic among all types, with a rate of 100%. On the other hand, it was observed that the types of yeast were 100% sensitive, with the exception of two isolates of the type C. krusei, which were resistant to the antibiotic Clotrimazole, and to the antibiotic Ketoconazole. All types showed sensitivity to this antibiotic, except for one isolate, the yeast C. krusei, which was resistant to this antibiotic
Assessment of Saline Water Properties from Jallam Area Wells
This study investigates the physical, chemical, and microbiological properties of well water in Salah al-Din Governorate, Iraq. Twelve wells, ranging from 80 to 110 meters in depth, were sampled monthly from September 2023 to February 2024. The study aimed to assess water quality concerning health standards, focusing on parameters like total dissolved solids (TDS), pH, salinity, total alkalinity, biological oxygen demand (BOD5), and chloride levels. Results indicated that TDS levels were above the World Health Organization's acceptable limit (500 mg/L), ranging from 1970 to 5440 ppm, while pH values were within the acceptable range (6.5 to 8.5). Salinity levels were low (0.1 to 0.22 mg/L), and total alkalinity varied from 40 to 200 mg/L. BOD5 values were low (0.93 to 2.3 mg/L), indicating minimal biodegradable organic matter. Chloride levels ranged from 13.61 to 45.20 mg/L. These findings suggest that while the water's pH, salinity, and BOD5 levels are acceptable, high TDS levels may pose a health risk. This study highlights the need for continuous monitoring and potential treatment solutions to ensure safe drinking water in the region
Biomarkers of Liver Injury in Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease
The prevalent liver condition known as Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is characterized by an abnormal buildup of fat in the liver cells. Conventional diagnostic methods are intrusive and impractical for routine screening, such as liver biopsies. The diagnostic and prognostic relevance of several biomarkers in NAFLD is examined in this study. A five-year observation period was used to track a longitudinal cohort of 500 NAFLD patients, with particular attention paid to biomarkers such as ALT, AST, CK-18, adiponectin, TNF-a, miR-122, FGF21, and GDF15. With miR-122, FGF21, and GDF15 demonstrating excellent predictive accuracy, the data showed substantial relationships between biomarker levels and disease development. Furthermore, adiponectin and ALT levels were markedly raised by lifestyle modifications. The aforementioned results bolster the efficacy of non-invasive biomarker-based diagnostics and underscore the significance of customized, non-pharmacological approaches in the handling of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
Efficacy of Hyoid Lift Maneuver on Dysphagia Level in Patients with Stroke
Dysphagia is a significant serious medical condition following stroke. Therapeutic exercises that enhance the functional and physiological changes in swallowing abilities are being used to treat dysphagia. This study was conducted to find out the efficacy of hyoid lift maneuver on swallowing ability in stroke patients, with dysphagia. This study utilizing a quasi-experimental design, it was performed in the neurological units from 1st October, 2023 to 13th June, 2024. Sixty patients diagnosed with stroke were take a part in this study using a purposive sampling, and they were divided up into two groups: the control and the intervention groups. There were 30 patients in each group. Patients with stroke who had difficulty swallowing were enrolled in the intervention group are applied the Hyoid Lift Maneuver 3 times a day for 7 consecutive days, whereas the control group obtained just conventional care. The data collection instrument contains two section: the first section is related to socio-demographic and clinical data; the second section was used to measure the dysphagia level by using a Gugging Swallow Screen Scale. Both descriptive and inferential analysis methods were used to analyzed the study result (e.g., paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test); a p-value of <0.05 was determined to be significant result. The result exposed that’s after 7 days of the application of Hyoid Lift Maneuver, a significant difference were found in the dysphagia level between the pretest and posttest periods at a p-value of 0.000 for patients in the interventional group. In contrast, the control group experienced a non-significant difference in the dysphagia level between the pretest and posttest periods at a p-value of 0.077. Performing Hyoid Lift Maneuver post-stroke alongside the medical treatment for three times per day for 7 days, significantly improve the swallowing ability in stroke patients with swallowing difficulties
