MICROBIAL AND VIRULENT VIEW TO CAUSATIVE AGENT OF FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE IN UNVACCINATED DAIRY COWS IN DIYALA GOVERNORATE, IRAQ
Aphthus fever or Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is a highly contagious and serious viral disease of animals. It affects animals with cloven-hoofed including cattle, buffalo, camels, sheep, goats, deer and pigs. Africa, the Middles East, Asia and South America were between the countries whom report the disease. High losses of milk and meat production could be occurred due the infection and, affect the trade in livestock and livestock products.
Twenty unvaccinated dairy cows with foot and mouth vaccine and their newborn calves were included in this study to investigate about the effects of their infection with foot and mouth disease virus. The results were revealed high severity clinical signs as weakness, loss of milk production, mastitis with appearance of blisters on teats, lameness, cough, rough coat and sings of panting. Also the study was investigates about the fate of their newborn calves which were mostly dead from the infection through vertical transmission of the virus with lactated milk or owners.
In recommendation, in order to maintain the flock from FMDV, annual vaccination with FMD vaccine contain endemic strains A, O and Asia (Shamir)
ANALYSIS OF FUNCTIONAL DISORDERS IN FRACTURES OF THE MEDIAL WALL OF THE ORBIT IN HOSPITALISED PATIENTS
Modern statistics shows an increase in the number of victims with fractures of bones of the facial skeleton. Orbital wall damage occurs most often in fractures of the zygomatic, maxillary, frontal bones and bones of the naso-ethmoidal complex; isolated fractures of the orbital cavity are rare. In fractures of the zygomatic bone in 39% of cases there is damage to the lower wall of the orbit, in 6.6% of cases fractures are combined with damage to the eyeball, eyelids - in 25.5% and soft tissues of the face - in 72.2%

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION, AND STUDY OF BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF OXAZEPINE COMPOUNDS DERIVED FROM 1,3,4-OXADIAZOLE
This study involves the synthesis of pentagonal rings of oxazepine derivatives through the reaction of one mole of hydrazide base derivatives with two moles of malic anhydride. The validity of the compound structures was confirmed using physical and spectroscopic methods such as UV-Vis. spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Additionally, melting points and purity were determined, and reaction progress was monitored by Thin-Layer Chromatography (TLC). The impact of some prepared compounds on the growth of two bacterial isolates, one Gram-negative (Escherichia coli) and the other Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus), was studied. Antibiotics amoxicillin, ampicillin, and ciprofloxacin were used as controls, and some of the prepared compounds showed good inhibitory effectiveness against the tested bacteria

PURIFICATION OF BIOACTIVE COMPOUNDS FROM STREPTOMYCES ISOLATES AND THEIR ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY AGAINST SOME BACTERIA ISOLATED FROM FISH
Antibiotic resistance (AR) is one of the major health problems that challenges successful treatment of various types and degrees of infection, both in humans and animals. According to that, it is critically important to discover natural new compounds to control AR. The presented herein-study was conducted to extract bioactive compounds from some isolates of Streptomyces and to evaluate their antibacterial activity on some bacterial microorganisms isolated from fish. The work started with the use of river sediments as a source for the isolation of Streptomyces bacteria, which were identified further with the recruitment of PCR that targeted the 16S rRNA gene. Then, samples of fish kidney, intestines, gills, and skin were utilized at 1 gm each to isolate some bacteria. Bioactive compounds were alcoholic-based-extracted from Streptomyces isolates and further investigated using GC-MS assay. These bioactive chemicals were evaluated as antibacterial agents against the fish bacterial isolates by employing Mueller Hinton agar (MHA). The results revealed two isolates of Streptomyces sp. mqw1 (SM1) and Streptomyces sp mqw2 (SM2). The fish isolates were Vibrio sp., Aeromonas sp., E. coli, Enterobacter sp., Pseudomonas sp., Staphylococcus sp., Klebsiella sp., Salmonella sp., and Serratia sp. The findings of MHA demonstrated higher antibacterial activities from SM2 isolates when compared with those from SM1. The findings of the current study indicate important antibacterial activities of the bioactive compounds, which were isolated from Streptomyces, especially mqw2, against fish bacterial isolates
The Use of the Products of the Bijnelli Reaction as Nucleophiles for the Preparation of New Derivatives of Azetidine and the Evaluation of the Bacterial Effectiveness of the Resulting Compounds
This study produced new azetidine derivatives by reacting derivatives of hydrazones (Benelli reaction products were used for this preparation) with chloroacetyl chloride. The produced compounds were then identified using spectroscopic techniques like infrared spectra (FT-IR) and resonance spectra (H1-NMR & C13-NMR). Among the four bacterial isolates used to evaluate the biological efficacy of some of the prepared compounds on their growth were Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Thin layer chromatography (TLC) was employed in addition to these analyses to monitor the reactions' progress and ascertain the purity and melting points of the produced compounds
Nuclear Security Culture Assessment of Medical Facilities in Malaysia
National regulations are always consistent in providing the first layer of safety and security in nuclear-related medical facilities. Since its introduction, nuclear security has become the main focus of organizations to prevent any malicious activities due to internal and external threats made possible as harsh idealism growth is consistent with an increased number of populations. Briefly, the self-assessment allows an organization to develop and maintain a security culture among nuclear personnel by testing out knowledge and awareness involves radioactive sources. The objective of this study is to evaluate certain areas of an organization on nuclear security culture based on IAEA’s nuclear security model. A survey was performed on 117 radiological personnel that uses ionizing radiation sourcing from radioactive materials as well as irradiating apparatuses direct and indirectly by handing out cross-sectional questionnaires. The questions (scaled using numerical values, 1-7) were collected and categorized into several populations which are level of education, age, years of working and etc. The scores were then analyzed using appropriate statistical method. A report on strengths and weaknesses in several areas was given back to the organization for further development and enhancement of security. The study shows that awareness is greater within personnel with higher level of education. The results also showed an in awareness with age due to the fact that workers who are older portrayed a deeper understanding of what they are doing. There is a significant difference of scores in terms of duration of service where workers with 6-10 years of experience were more aware of the importance of security culture compared to those with 21-30 years of experience. In conclusion, it is found that there are several factors including the subject’s demographic that affect the level of awareness and knowledge among radiation personnel that works with radioactive materials
