Estimation of the Thermal Energy Release Rates from Gas Flare (A Case Study in the Niger Delta Region)
The continuous flaring of gas and the attendant environmental hazards are well known and documented in the public domain. Thermal energy radiation, a direct effect of gas flaring, is due to chemical energy in natural gas molecules being converted to heat, light in the form of luminous and non-luminous flames, and roaring sound during the combustion of natural gas at the gas flare stack tip. The thermal energy released from the burning of gas is transferred to the immediate surroundings by convection, conduction, and radiation, with radiative heat transfer being the more dominant of the other modes of heat transfer. Thermal energy release rates from gas flare depend on several factors, which include the gas stream composition, the volume rates, the gross heating value (BTU), the efficiency, and soot formation. The paper will critically examine these factors and focus on the gas composition and gas volume rates as the major factors of interest to estimate the thermal energy release rates. The paper also outlined the quantitative estimation of the thermal energy release rates in simple and clear terms. The associated gas stream composition of the flare gas was obtained from the flow station. Other gas flare data obtained from the flow station's operational. The log book includes the average monthly gas volume flow rates, flare stack combustion efficiency, and the ambient and stacks flame temperature. The gross heating value (BTU/SCF) of the flare gas stream was evaluated from the gas composition and the standard BTU/SCF data for pure hydrocarbons (alkanes) gases, respectively. The calculated gross heating value of the gas stream was 1,876.72 BTU/ft3 at standard conditions. The thermal energy release rates were calculated from the average monthly volume flow rates of gas and the gross heating value of the flare gas stream. The estimated thermal energy released from the flared gas ranges from 43494.34KW to 313271.12KW from the months of January to December 2011, with an ambient temperature range of 318k to 328K (45oC to 55oC). The thermal energy release rates increase with an increase in the volume rates of gas flared. This leads to the unhealthy release of excess heat load into the environment, causing an excessive rise in the surrounding temperature above normal (180C-300C)

Chemicals Utilised in Industries of Food and Textile Dyes, Their Effects and Treatment
Artificial food dyes are responsible for the bright colors of candy, sports drinks and baked goods.They’re even used in certain brands of pickles, smoked salmon and salad dressing, as well as medications.In fact, artificial food dye consumption has increased by 500% in the last 50 years, and children are the biggest consumers .Claims have been made that artificial dyes cause serious side effects, such as hyperactivity in children, as well as cancer and allergies.The topic is highly controversial and there are many conflicting opinions about the safety of artificial food dyes. This article separates the fact from fiction. Food dyes are chemical substances that were developed to enhance the appearance of food by giving it artificial color.People have added colorings to food for centuries, but the first artificial food colorings were created in 1856 from coal tar.Nowadays, food dyes are made from petroleum.Over the years, hundreds of artificial food dyes have been developed, but a majority of them have since been found to be toxic. There are only a handful of artificial dyes that are still used in food.Food manufacturers often prefer artificial food dyes over natural food colorings, such as beta carotene and beet extract, because they produce a more vibrant color.However, there is quite a bit of controversy regarding the safety of artificial food dyes. All of the artificial dyes that are currently used in food have gone through testing for toxicity in animal studies.Regulatory agencies, like the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), have concluded that the dyes do not pose significant health risks.Not everyone agrees with that conclusion. Interestingly, some food dyes are deemed safe in one country, but banned from human consumption in another, making it extremely confusing to assess their safety.Textile dyes are substances used to color fabrics. The dyes soak into the fabric and change it chemically, resulting in color that stays permanently through repeated use. Today, more than 10,000 substances are classified as textile dyes, and different kinds of dyes work better on specific kinds of fabric. Conversion of Solar Radiation Into Electrical Energy by Using Solar Cell
Photogalvanic cell is a device which accumulates the energy from the sun for transference to electricity. The photogalvanic cell is based on photogalvanic effect. Photogalvanic effect means when sun light (as photons) strikes the photosensitizer molecule they get excited and become energized species and these high energy products jumps into low energy levels and radiate energy electrochemically. Photogalvanic cells also can be used for its good storage capacity as compared to photovoltaic cells. Photovoltaic cells are those cells in which there is direct excitation of an electron through a photon and thus producing electricity.
In the present work the conversion of solar radiation into electric energy and its storage will be studied by using red Beet root (Beta vulgaris) extract as photosensitizer ,NTA , D-manitol used as reductant and Brij-35,Tween -80 as surfactant. Review of literature shows that very less work has been done on the natural dye sensitized solar cells So The main purpose of present work is to obtain higher conversion efficiency of the photogalvanic cell and to increase its storage capacity for commercial importance

Зависимость Продуктивных Свойств Коров Симментальской Породы От Типов
Исследованиями выявлено, что уровень молочной продуктивности,характер течения лактации, выход молочной продукции на каждые 100 кг живой массы и уровень оплаты корма молочной продукцией симментальских коров взаимосвязан с типами телосложения. У коров молочного типа удой за лактацию соответственно на 672,5 и 958,5 кг, 4%-ного молока на 507,4 и 735,4 кг выше, выход молока на каждые 100 кг живой массы молока на 164,9 и 228,7 кг больше,чем у сверстниц молочно-мясного и мясо-молочного типов. Наивысший месячный удой у коров молочного типа отмечен на третьем, у коров молочно-мясного и мясо-молочного типов на втором месяце лактации. Это свидетельствует о том, что у коров молочного типа лактация протекала более равномерно, чем у сверстниц иных типов. Полученные данные свидельствуют о высокой эффективности использования коров молочного типа в целях производства молока
In Vitro Evaluation of Binding of Fish Mucus by Nanoparticles Induce Oxidative Stress on Nile Tilapia
The emerging species of fish, Nile tilapia have extremely practical importance in the field of aquaculture in Pakistan and other country of Asian subcontinents. The natural fresh water bodies are quickly contaminated with the various harmful chemicals the improvement in industrialization. The main objective of this research was to designate the fish mucus in respect to its biochemical investigation and representation. This involves various procedures such as agar diffusion for assessment of antimicrobial activity. And total phenolic content was also be inspected and as well as the total flavonoid content (TFC) of mucus obtained from fish. The cytotoxicity of mucus of fish was checked by the haemolytic and thrombolytic tests. Moreover, various other techniques such as UV-visible spectra, FTIR was used for the assessment of biochemical processes. The greatest inhibition zone was observed in S.areus and lowest zone of inhibition for saline mucus in P. multocida. Protein contents in fish mucus. Similarly, from characterization point of view, FTIR results in fish mucus showed the presence of aliphatic primary amines (N-H) and alkenes as a functional group (C=C) at different peaks of spectrum .The results obtain were analyzed through mean and standard deviations
