Design and Analysis of Air Pollution Concentration Prediction Models Using Transfer Learning and Recurrent Neural Networks

    No full text
Since air pollution (AP) poses a serious risk to human health, many people have started paying greater attention to it in recent years. Precise Air Pollution prediction helps individuals schedule their outdoor activities and contributes to human health protection. In this study, recurrent neural networks (RNNs) with long short-term memory (LSTM) were used to predict Macau's future APS concentration. Data on the concentration of APS as well as environmental data have also been used. Additionally, some air quality monitoring stations (AQMSs) in Macau have fewer overall observed data while simultaneously collecting less observed data for specific APS kinds. In order to help AQMSs with less observed data, transfer learning, and pre-trained neural networks have been utilized. The purpose of this study is to show how a collection of neural network algorithms has been utilized for these two pollutant elements. The approach is given considerable thought in this paper, and datasets regarding air and water pollution as well as expected parameters were additionally collected for future development efficiency

Mathematical Description and Algorithm for Solving the Model of the Ionite Regeneration Process in the Ion Exchange Method of Water Softening

    No full text
Based on the modern representation of the water softening process by the ion exchange method, modeling was carried out, an algorithm was developed and the ionite regeneration process was calculated in a water softening plant with a fixed ionite layer. To solve the system of equations of the model, special, but simple enough for use in engineering calculations, techniques and methods have been developed and applied. The constructed model and its solution algorithm can be used to predict the process of ionite regeneration in an ion exchange apparatus. It can also be used to calculate the time of the ionite regeneration process

Use of Sentinel 2 Satellite Images in Land Cover Mapping for Selected Areas in the Diwaniyah Government

    No full text
The use of remote sensing images in the preparation and monitoring of land covers proved to be a very effective and successful technique for various types of land covers such as urban, water or urban cover… etc. The aim of this study is to prepare the land covers classification maps for the years 2016 and 2022 by using European Satellite Sentinel 2 images, for the two seasons (Spring and Autumn). The Anderson land cover classification system was adopted at the first level, using the supervised classification technique, the maximum probability method, and taking advantage of the integration between geographic information systems and remote sensing data. The error matrix was used to evaluate the accuracy of the land cover classification results. The results showed that the manner of the spatial distribution of the land cover classes during the years 2016 and 2022 is almost identical in terms of an increase in the area of vegetation and water cover during the spring season, and a decrease during the autumn season. In contrast to both the barren lands and the salty lands, which decrease during the spring and increase during the autumn season

    No full text
Current research measured radon in wheat. main food source. Cylinder to measure the concentration of radon gas in wheat samples. The results showed that the highest complete concentration was model 9, with a concentration of (78.4Bq/m-3) while the lowest concentration was model 3, with a concentration of (27.7Bq/m-3) The results of the current Refers to the wheat samples that contain eleven samples

Cobalt Catalysed Autoxidation of Dissolved Sulfur Dioxide in the Atmospheric Aqueous Phase

    No full text
Catalytic oxidation are processes that rely on catalysts to introduce oxygen into organic and inorganic compounds. Many applications, including the focus of this article, involve oxidation by oxygen. Such processes are conducted on a large scale for the remediation of pollutants, production of valuable chemicals, and the production of energy.[1] The common mechanism is a free radical chain reaction, where the addition of oxygen gives rise to hydroperoxides and their associated peroxy radicals (ROO•).[5] Typically, an induction period is seen at the start where there is little activity; this is followed by a gradually accelerating take-up of oxygen, giving an autocatalytic reaction which can only be kept in check by the use of antioxidants. Unsaturated compounds are the most strongly effected but many organic materials will oxidise in this way given time. Sulfur dioxide (IUPAC-recommended spelling) or sulphur dioxide (traditional Commonwealth English) is the chemical compound with the formula SO2. It is a toxic gas responsible for the odor of burnt matches. It is released naturally by volcanic activity and is produced as a by-product of copper extraction and the burning of sulfur-bearing fossil fuels.[8]
