Digital advertisement through social media in the hotel industry in the city of Ibagué
No full textLa presente investigación buscó diagnosticar el empleo de la publicidad digital, apoyada en medios sociales, por los encargados de marketing de diversas organizaciones del sector hotelero en Ibagué (Colombia). La metodología fue mixta, soportada en procedimientos de la hermenéutica, que incluye interpretaciones de la autora. Los hallazgos obtenidos, a partir de la investigación, demostraron que los hoteles utilizan medios sociales para promocionar su negocio; sin embargo, no se encuentran capacitados en usos de plataformas digitales.This research intended to diagnose the use of digital advertising, supported by social media, by the marketing managers of different organizations in the hotel sector in Ibagué (Colombia). The methodology was mixed, supported in hermeneutic procedures, which includes interpretations by the author. The findings, based on the research, showed that hotels use social media to promote their business; however, they are not trained in the uses of digital platforms
