SUSTAINABLE MERCHANDISING PRACTICES IN THE TEXTILE SECTOR: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
As the textile business faces serious environmental and social issues, sustainable retailing techniques have become more and more important. With an emphasis on the opportunities and challenges that influence the industry's development, this study explores the intricate terrain of integrating sustainable practices in the textile industry and commerce. The study aims to provide useful information to companies looking to improve their sustainability credentials while preserving their competitive edge. The main issue discussed is the discrepancy between the increasing aspirations for sustainability and the implementation's practical difficulties, especially in intricate global supply chains. The study uses a qualitative research methodology based on thorough secondary data analysis, looking at academic literature to provide a comprehensive understanding of sustainable merchandising methods. The study highlights several important conclusions, including the following: the adoption of sustainable practices is severely hampered by financial barriers, especially for SMEs; the lack of standardized sustainability metrics makes implementation more difficult; digital technologies and the circular economy provide promising solutions for improving sustainability; and water consumption and chemical waste continue to be the main environmental challenges. The use of secondary data and the quick changes in sustainability practices are two major drawbacks that could compromise the findings' long-term relevance. By identifying gaps in current frameworks and combining current information on sustainable merchandising methods, the study advances theory. The study offers practitioners strategic recommendations for putting sustainable practices into practice, such as standardizing sustainability metrics, investing in waterless dyeing technologies, creating creative financial models, and utilizing digital technologies to increase supply chain transparency. While preserving revenue, these insights can help companies navigate the shift to more sustainable operations
BIG DATA AND CHRONIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT THROUGH PATIENT MONITORING AND TREATMENT WITH DATA ANALYTICS
This systematic review investigates the role of predictive analytics in chronic disease management, focusing on its capacity to predict disease progression, reduce hospitalizations, and enhance patient outcomes. A total of 35 peer-reviewed articles were analyzed to evaluate how predictive models, utilizing data from electronic health records (EHRs), wearable devices, and real-time monitoring systems, are applied in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular conditions. The findings indicate that predictive models have significantly improved early disease detection accuracy, with studies showing improved forecasting of heart failure exacerbations and notable reductions in hospital readmissions due to timely interventions. Additionally, many studies reported a reduction in healthcare utilization through predictive analytics-driven early interventions. However, challenges regarding data quality and model accuracy were frequently cited, particularly concerning data integration and harmonization across various healthcare systems. Ethical and privacy concerns, including data security and algorithmic bias, were also highlighted, underscoring the need to address these issues for responsible and equitable use of predictive analytics. This review affirms the growing impact of predictive analytics in chronic disease management, while calling for advancements in data management and ethical frameworks to maximize its potential
ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT PERSPECTIVES ON SAFETY CULTURE IN CHEMICAL AND PETROCHEMICAL PLANTS: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW
This systematic review examines the influence of engineering management practices on cultivating and sustaining a strong safety culture in chemical and petrochemical plants. Given the high-risk nature of these industries, establishing a robust safety culture is essential for mitigating operational hazards, reducing risks, and preventing accidents that can have serious human and environmental impacts. The review synthesizes findings from 135 peer-reviewed studies, focusing on key elements such as leadership commitment, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, safety management systems, and the integration of advanced technologies like automation and artificial intelligence (AI). The results highlight that safety performance in these industries is closely linked to management's active involvement in promoting safety practices, clear communication strategies, and the continuous assessment and improvement of safety protocols. Engineering managers play a critical role in driving safety initiatives and fostering an organizational culture where safety is a shared responsibility. The review also underscores the importance of regulatory compliance as a foundation for safety, while emphasizing that the most successful organizations go beyond compliance to embed safety deeply into their operational practices. Technological advancements, particularly in automation and real-time monitoring, were found to significantly enhance safety outcomes by enabling proactive risk identification and mitigation. Overall, this review offers valuable insights and practical guidelines for engineering managers aiming to strengthen safety protocols, reduce risks, and enhance safety performance in high-hazard industrial environments
Detecting Fake News Using Data Analytics: A Systematic Literature Review And Machine Learning Approach
This study systematically reviews advancements in fake news detection techniques, examining methodologies and frameworks across machine learning, natural language processing, social network analysis, and multimodal approaches. By following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, a rigorous and transparent review process was conducted, resulting in the selection and evaluation of 254 research articles. The findings reveal that supervised learning models, such as Support Vector Machines, Decision Trees, and Naïve Bayes, have shown strong performance in text-based fake news classification, particularly when feature selection is optimized. Deep learning models, including CNNs, RNNs, and transformers, have further advanced detection accuracy by capturing complex linguistic patterns, though challenges with computational demands and model interpretability remain. In scenarios with limited labeled data, unsupervised learning models and semi-supervised approaches offer adaptability, with clustering, anomaly detection, and iterative self-labeling proving effective for evolving misinformation. Additionally, cross-disciplinary approaches, integrating insights from psychology, sociology, and network science, enhance detection models by accounting for user behavior, emotional appeal, and social conformity in the spread of fake news. Case studies from collaborative projects underscore the potential of interdisciplinary efforts to develop robust, adaptable detection frameworks. This review concludes that effective fake news detection requires a multifaceted approach, combining technical advancements with social science insights to address the complexity and adaptive nature of misinformation. The study emphasizes the need for continued research in hybrid models and adaptive, real-time detection solutions to strengthen defenses against fake news in diverse digital environments

Venture Capital Finance: Its Present Research Scenario and Prospects for the Future
This paper reviews recent research results of the venture capital finance. The paper indicates that main contents of the theory are that how agency problems brought about by the information asymmetry through the contract design are solved and the value-added management service is provided. A number of empirical evidences provided by documents from some aspects such as the fund raising and the selection of the organization pattern, the project selection as well as the investment contract arrangement, post-investment management activities, withdrawal mechanism as well as the performance and so on are investigated. Women in Enterprise-Issues, Problems and Prospects
Women entrepreneurs have been facing a lot of problem from the very beginning of their ventures and for these problems a significant number of women cannot start their ventures, although they have willingness and capabilities. Major objectives of this study are to identify constraints facing the women entrepreneurs, to snap a development paradigm for the women entrepreneurs, and to recommend propositions for elevation of their present status. Secondary data have been used in this research. Fear of being rejected, unwillingness to have collaterals from partners, doubts about defending the project, lack of knowledge on different available options of financing scheme, lack of appropriate skills to evaluate the business especially those in the informal sectors, complex procedure in the institutional level etc. are some of the many problems women entrepreneurs have been facing in starting and operating their business. Micro finance has a focus on the women entrepreneurs due to their poor resource endowments and encouraged their savings with creation of employment opportunities. Some recommendations are drawn like the central bank should fix up a target for each bank to provide loan for women owned enterprises and form a monitoring team to monitor the implementation of its circular, separate bank or banks may be established for women entrepreneurs and for the other banks, an obligation may be imposed to maintain a minimum quota for the underprivileged women entrepreneurs, a comprehensive credit policy should be initiated under the direct supervision of the central bank in order to create access of women entrepreneurs to finance and so forth
