This paper consists in an overview of the influence of some Leonardo Sciascia’s works, mainly Il contesto (1971), on Federico Campbell’s novel Pretexta (1979). As Campbell declared many times, Il contesto was a fundamental source of inspiration for Pretexta. The purpose of the article is to explain this bond in a comparative-genetic sense, both highlighting mere facts, and making hypothesis that are supported by the comparison between Pretexta and its embryonic version, which had been published by Campbell before knowing Sciascia.
Chronotopes, perspective and norms
Attraverso questi elementi ogni cronotopo è caratterizzato da un sistema di norme, valori e rappresentazioni tipiche che lo fa contrapporre a un altroThis article focuses on a certain type of discursive sequences from autobiographical interviews in which the speaker characterizes and contrasts two chronotopes: one from the past of his life and the other from his present, in which he narrates. The events described by the speakers are not part of the main storyline but belong to ‘secondary’ structures. The article uses the notion of chronotope to characterise them, relates this notion to those of Lebenswelt and mental space and questions the function of such sequences within the narrative of memory. In the interviews of the Israelkorpus, we observe that they can be presented in a rather similar way by different speakers or in different passages of the same interview, by use of recurrent resources such as: adverbs and indefinites for the description of usual events, negation, pronoun sets (ich, wir, man) for the expression of a variety of perspectives. By these means, each chronotope is characterised by a system of norms, values and typical representations by which it is opposed to anothe
Which IT.A.CÀ for Naples? A SWOT Analysis Approach
Naples has a rich and suggestive artistic, historical and cultural heritage. This characterization makes it one of the most attractive Italian tourist cities. Starting from 2018, the IT.A.CÀ Festival has also been included for two years in the already dense calendar of tourist events of the regional capital of Campania. It is one of the major Italian Festivals aimed at promoting responsible tourism and enhancing local realities.
The purpose of this paper is to present the results of an action-research conducted by OUT (University of Naples' Research Center on Tourism) aimed at analyzing the impacts that the Festival has had on Naples.
The study involved the main representatives of associations, institutions and local bodies that organized the past Neapolitan editions of IT.A.CÀ. More specifically, using the SWOT analysis tool, the research identified the strengths and opportunities associated with the event, but also the weaknesses and threats, to individuate a number of recommendations for its realization in Naples.Naples has a rich and suggestive artistic, historical and cultural heritage.
The actions promoted at European level (European Commission/EACEA/Eurydice, 2018) and the reflections and research actions promoted at national level (Lotti et al., 2022) emphasise the importance of supporting the continuous training of university teachers and also promoting their digital competences (Grion et al, 2021; Redecker & Punie, 2017).This is in order to support teaching innovation processes aimed at improving the quality of teaching itself. This contribution aims to provide an overview with respect to the research, developed at a national level, aimed at exploring the Technology Enhanced Assessment practices (Devedzic, & Devedzic, 2019) applied by Italian teachers, specifically examining the related training needs to mature digital assessment and feedback skills. The survey is conducted through a syllabus sample analysis and through qualitative interviews. The results will structure the basis of further research steps focused on the creation and validation of an academic development model supporting these competences, to be applied at the University of Trento.
Ars more geometrico demonstrata
Starting from the collection of essays published in 2022 entitled Spinoza nella cultura del Novecento, this contribution aims to propose a concise evaluation of the impact of Spinoza’s thought on 20th-century literature, following the examples, reflections and ideas taken from some of the essays in this volume dedicated to those authors who, in the literary sphere, have included, elaborated, or even de-formed, the thought of the Dutch philosopher within their own work
In the transition from descriptive phenomenology to transcendental phenomenology, the Husserlian notion of philosophy takes on the aspect of a first philosophy. It indicates a field of “preliminary” research, which comes first, since it must clarify the concepts that all sciences use, as well as the relations that the various regional ontologies entertain. This outlines the Husserlian notion of first philosophy. In the last part of the paper, we try to highlight the structural differences that separate it from the notion of first philosophy in Aristotle, Descartes and Hume.

This article examines the relationship between Husserlian phenomenology and Berkeley’s empiricism and attempts to reconstruct the reasons why, despite the untenable nature of Berkeley’s immaterialism, Husserl recognizes nevertheless its crucial importance for the idea of phenomenology. First, the paper shows that Berkeley’s intermediate position between Locke and Hume enables Husserl to see in his empiricism a philosophy of pure immanence capable of raising the question of the foundation of transcendence without falling into skepticism. It then shows that Berkeley’s phenomenological critique, on both sides of the transcendental turn, relies on the idea of intentional content to demonstrate that ideality can be included in this immanence without being reduced to one of its parts.

Hegel and Husserl on Perception. A Phenomenological Dispute
In this paper I stage a phenomenological dispute between Hegel and Husserl on the essence of perception. I argue that Hegel’s dialectical reconstruction of perceptual experience in the Phenomenology of Spirit hinges on two problematic assumptions: (1) the properties of perceptual objects are universals; (2) the way in which sensory properties determine perceptual objects is a kind of negation. I challenge both assumptions drawing on Husserl analysis of perception in Experience and Judgment. On Husserl’s account perceptual objects are not originally experienced as “things-of-multiple-properties”, as Hegel would have it, but rather as inarticulate perceptual wholes. Only through explicative contemplation do perceptual properties become salient and when they do so, they do not negate each other or the object but are rather taken up in a special kind of synthesis of partial coincidence. I conclude with a recapitulation and point toward the relevance of the disagreement between Hegel and Husserl for any future discussion of conceptualism and non-conceptualism in the philosophy of perception.

Healthy Cities and Social Day Care Centres. Architecture for intergenerational wellbeing
Rethinking our cities to create an inclusive system that responds to current and future needs includes designing new architectural and typological models. What these models should be, and how they can be conceived and systematized, is the focus of the research being carried out within the extended partnership of Age-It – Ageing Well in an Ageing Society (Mission 4, NRRP). The study aims to provide design guidelines for living and aging in old age, with an intergenerational perspective. Supported by literature on the subject and initiatives underway in Europe centred on the concept of aging in place, the investigation focuses on defining innovative Day Centres.Working for the physical, social, and mental well-being of the elderly is aimed at supporting their participation in the community and their continuity within its territorial fabric. This can occur when social and healthcare services are also directed at fostering social encounters and encouraging the pursuit of an active life, thus within the context of a continuum of care. This is the aspiration of the Social Day Care Centres outlined in the research and some significant international examples examined in the study.

It – Ageing Well in an Ageing Society (Missione 4, PNRR). Parole chiave: social day care centres, healthy city, servizi comunitari, prospettiva intergenerazionale, Age-It, Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienz
The paper deals with Lithuanian lexemes related to the semantic sphere of the human body. In this study, the oldest portion of the lexicon is analysed, i.e. somatonyms of Indo-European heritage. The aim of the research is double fold: firstly, I attempt at reconstructing the internal structure of the lexemes under consideration, i.e., bringing to light the morphological means involved in their coinage (naming act), as well as their semantic content. The second task is to re-establish the underlying (and no longer actual) semantic motivation, i.e., the semantic relationship between lexical and functional motivators recognizable in the structure of the somatonyms. The analysis makes it possible to distinguish between diachronically unmotivated (or “primary”) and motivated (or “secondary) somatonyms. The latter can be assigned to three motivational models: descriptive, functional, and relational. Identifying the conceptual properties of each body-part that were selected as motivators helps understanding what cognitive principles have presided over the structuring of this portion of the lexicon.
