Mental illnesses have always been in constant interaction with individuals, society, family, and the community. Mental health is an important social good that affects the quality of life, human rights, the economy, creativity, and sustainable development, and it is the responsibility of the welfare state to promote it. The lack of knowledge related to mental health represents a public health issue, as the general population often confuses the concept of mental health with mental illness. Nurses spend the most time with patients, especially in hospital wards, where their relationship with patients can be crucial for therapeutic progress. An anonymous survey on the attitudes of the general population regarding mental health and the role of nurses in providing psychological assistance was conducted. A total of 270 participants took part, and descriptive and inferential statistics were used. The research focuses on comparative analysis (testing differences between groups) and reliable measurement (Cronbach's alpha), indicating that it belongs to the field of quantitative comparative research. The results showed that a significantly higher number of female respondents participated in the study. Most respondents live in urban areas and have completed secondary education. The results also indicated that the majority of respondents are older than 35 years. A large majority of the population believes that nurses sometimes show empathy and understanding towards mental needs during their stay in healthcare institutions. Among other results, it is important to highlight that 48.9% of respondents believe their mental health is good and that they occasionally face mental challenges (48.5%). The discussion of the results confirms the following two hypotheses: the majority of the general population believes that nurses do not lack empathy in supporting mental disorders, and that nurses require additional education regarding mental disorders, given the education level of the respondents

The use of alternative materials, such as fly ash from wood biomass, can reduce the consumption of cement and contribute to minimizing environmental waste. For these reasons, the aim of this study is to investigate how the use of sustainable material, namely wood biomass ash, as a replacement for cement affects the mechanical properties of micro-concrete. For this purpose, mixtures of cement and geopolymer mortars were prepared. The cement mortar mixtures were named C100P0 (100% cement) and C50P50 (50% cement and 50% ash, measured volumetrically) and were prepared with 1350 g of sand, 450 g of cement (for C100P0), or 380 ml of cement and 225 g of water. The geopolymer mortar mixtures were prepared with 1350 g of sand, 380 ml of biomass ash, and a mixture of 10-molar solutions of KOH (or NaOH) and sodium silicate solution (Na₂SiO₃) in a ratio of 1:2.5. The geopolymer mortar mixture with KOH was labeled as GP-KOH, while the one with NaOH was labeled as GP-NaOH. Chemical analysis revealed that the ash contains a higher proportion of CaO compared to cement, indicating potential pozzolanic activity. Although the pozzolanic activity of the ash becomes apparent after 28 days, the pozzolanic activity index is 27%, which is below the required value of 80%, resulting in a decrease in the strength of the mortar. Granulometric analysis showed that cement has a finer structure compared to ash. Tests of tensile and compressive strength indicated that the tensile strength decreases with increasing ash content, while the compressive strength results remained reliable. These results suggest that ash may have limited applicability in mixtures where high strength is required

Liječenje uključuje prehranu, tjelovježbu, lijekove i edukaciju. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by a deficiency of insulin, leading to elevated blood glucose levels. Types of diabetes are: type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. Type 1 predominantly affects young individuals and requires insulin therapy, while type 2 is associated with obesity and inactivity. Diabetes is a global epidemic causing significant health problems and increased mortality. Treatment includes diet, exercise, medication, and education. Nutritional therapy for diabetics aims to improve health through a proper diet that maintains target body weight, glycemia, and lipid profile. The diet plan includes energy intake, number of meals, and proper nutrient distribution, with an emphasis on Mediterranean and DASH diets. Carbohydrates should make up 40-55% of daily intake, while fat intake is limited. Diabetes complications are categorized as acute (hyperglycemia, diabetic ketoacidosis, hypoglycemia) and chronic (microangiopathies and macroangiopathies). Psychological issues are common among individuals with chronic physical diseases and can affect disease progression. Psychological disorders in patients with physical illnesses include depression, anxiety, and psychotic disorders, while physical illnesses such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes frequently occur in individuals with mental health conditions. Depression is common in people with diabetes and can worsen the condition, while improper antidepressant treatment can impact blood glucose levels. Schizophrenia is a chronic disorder affecting thought, perception, emotions, and behavior, often associated with genetic and biological factors. It has a high prevalence in urban areas and is treated with pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. The disease can cause physical comorbidities such as diabetes, which worsens with antipsychotic medications. Alcoholism is also a serious disorder with genetic, psychological, and social causes, often leading to insulin resistance. Research conducted among 40 residents of the "Bistričak" adult home reveals that most participants with diabetes are not sufficiently informed about their condition. Although 52.5% recognize the symptoms of diabetes, only 42.5% can define the disease, and knowledge about hypoglycemia is even poorer. Education is rarely received (77.5% have never been educated), and most would like to know more. Although they understand which foods to avoid and the importance of physical activity, they admit to poor adherence. The study also calculated participants' body mass index, revealing that 75% of participants are overweight

Femoral neck injuries primarily affect older adults and are most often the result of falls, with women over 65 years old accounting for 77% of hospitalizations for this diagnosis. The high incidence of falls in the elderly is influenced by numerous factors, such as physiological muscle atrophy, reduced proprioception, and chronic diseases. Since the hip joint is fundamental to the movement system, its injury significantly reduces a person's ability to care for themselves and maintain independence, leading to dependence on their surroundings, which, combined with the high incidence rate, makes femoral neck fractures a public health issue. Treatment for fractures depends on the type of fracture and the patient's overall condition, and it can be either conservative or surgical. The most common treatment method is through surgical intervention, where osteosynthesis or partial or total hip arthroplasty may be performed. Early rehabilitation aims to achieve mobility and independence for the patient as soon as possible after surgery. The role of the nurse in the trauma and orthopedic department is to prepare and address the needs of patients during hospitalization. Adequate care is provided by planning and implementing interventions in the preoperative and postoperative periods to promote earlier recovery and prevent potential difficulties and complications. In addition to physical preparation, psychological support is also provided to ensure safety and support, significantly influencing the recovery process. Education is a cornerstone of psychological support, covering all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures during hospitalization, as well as behaviors and activities that enhance recovery

SVG animacije, s druge strane, omogućuju visoku kvalitetu vektorske grafike, skalabilnost i mogućnost izrade dinamičkih i interaktivnih elemenata. This thesis explores various animation technologies in web design, focusing on CSS, JavaScript, and SVG. Each of these technologies has its own advantages and limitations, and their combination can significantly enhance the user experience. CSS animations are easy to implement and ideal for basic, static effects, allowing for smooth transitions and transformations. However, their flexibility may be limited for more complex animations that require dynamic calculations. JavaScript animations offer high control and flexibility, making them suitable for complex and interactive animations. Using various methods, developers can manipulate animations in real-time, adapting them to user interactions. However, the complexity of JavaScript animations can lead to increased browser load, impacting performance. SVG animations, on the other hand, allow for high-quality vector graphics, scalability, and the creation of dynamic and interactive elements. Using SVG, designers can create visually appealing effects, though managing more complex SVG animations can be challenging. Older browsers may also struggle with support for newer SVG features. The thesis compares these three technologies through animation examples, highlighting their unique characteristics. CSS is used for simple effects, while JavaScript handles more complex tasks with dynamic calculations. Choosing the appropriate animation technology depends on the specific needs of a project, and a combination of all three can result in the most efficient solution. This analysis underscores the importance of understanding each technology's capabilities to achieve an optimal user experience on the web

Quality of health of Roma population in Međimurje County

Žensku romsku populaciju prati visoka rodnost, a romske obitelji velika količina djece. Mladi, visokoobrazovani Romi teže integraciji i suzbijanju stereotipa, no zbog velike većine „starih“ Roma i tradicionalnog načina života i razmišljanja, to je često nemoguće. Roma are an ethnic community in the Republic of Croatia, declared as a national minority, which significantly differs from the majority population of the area where they live. The level of education among the Roma population is extremely low, which is related to the low participation of the Roma population in general civic engagement. Rome, with a low level of education, marks life in their community with the inaccessibility of utilities, a low level of personal hygiene, a lack of self-care and health awareness, delinquent behavior, and high levels of consumption of alcohol and cigarettes, as well as drugs. The female Roma population is characterized by high fertility, and Roma families a large number of children. To understand the real situation in the Roma community, it is of great importance to consider problems such as domestic violence, delinquent behavior and behavioral disorders. Stereotypes about the Roma population have always existed, but in today's time, they are even more present. Some stereotypes are based on evidence and the behavior of Roma, while others are passed down within families. Young, highly educated Roma strive for integration and fight against stereotypes, but due to the large majority of "old" Roma and their traditional way of life and thinking, this is often impossible. The health of the Roma population, an extremely vulnerable group, is often marginalized and placed in the background due to the stereotype that Roma are a more resilient group and rarely fall ill. The overall health status of the Roma population is significantly worse than that of the general population. Sick Roma are facing new problems, such as the procurement of expensive medications, payment of hospital fees, especially for those who do not pay health insurance. For these reasons, Roma generally seek medical assistance late and refuse treatment. The higher the level of education and integration, the fewer children Romani families have, the better their health status, and the more they care for themselves, their health, and the health of their families. The aim of this work is to present the health of the Roma in relation to the conditions in which they live and the level of education they possess. The study involved anonymous data collection using a personal survey questionnaire, and the results were statistically processed. Statistical analysis confirmed the hypotheses that demonstrate a connection between the frequency of visits to the family doctor and overall health status. People with a higher level of education have a more positive attitude towards healthcare compared to those with a lower level of education, and the level of education affects the number of children in a Romani family. By looking at the real problems and the real situation in the Roma community, a multidisciplinary team can be used to solve them

The goal of this work was to develop the visual identity of a contemporary fast food restaurant, motivated by my own desire to open such a restaurant in the future. This written work shows the process of identity development, from the initial sketches to the final solution. As part of this project, 3D simulations were used to depict the various elements used in the preparation of burgers. The logo includes different illustrations that change, which aims to illustrate to customers that each burger can be unique and customized to their personal preferences, which is the core of the restaurant's concept. The slogan related to this visual identity reads "Create your own", designed to summarize the restaurant's offer in one short sentence. The poster is designed with clarity and minimalism, avoiding superfluous elements. The mobile application is designed as a platform for ordering food, eliminating the need for classic menus; instead, it is used through users' mobile devices

It describes the chemical, physical, and biological impurities found in water, as well as the primary, secondary, and tertiary stages of wastewater treatment. In addition, it explores the treatment of sludge generated by all water treatment processes. To ensure water conser-vation for future generations and facilitate water reuse, the circular water economy model is introduced. This model enables resource savings and the reuse of water for various pur-poses. This thesis aims to highlight the importance of environmental challenges, the treatment of industrial wastewater, and its impact on the environment. Since there is no perfect solution that applies to all industries, this paper describes the most common combined processes that represent better technological solutions
