EFFICIENT PRIVACY PRESERVING MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS ON EDGE COMPUTING PLATFORMS

    Get PDF
The advent of edge computing has revolutionized various industries, and healthcare is no exception. Edge computing involves processing data closer to its source, enabling real-time analytics and decision-making. In the healthcare sector, the integration of edge computing offers advantages such as reduced latency and enhanced privacy protection. The conventional system for medical diagnosis often involves the centralization of sensitive patient data in cloud-based platforms. While this facilitates data storage and processing, it raises concerns about data privacy and security. The transmission of medical data to centralized servers introduces latency, potentially hindering real-time decision-making, a critical aspect in healthcare. Furthermore, the conventional system may not be optimized for resource-constrained environments, leading to inefficiencies in computation and increased processing times. Data breaches in centralized systems pose a significant risk to patient privacy, and the potential consequences, such as identity theft and discrimination, underscore the need for a more secure and privacy-preserving approach to medical diagnosis. The proposed system introduces a paradigm shift in medical diagnosis by leveraging edge computing and the Extra Tree Classifier algorithm. Extra Tree Classifier is chosen for its efficiency and accuracy in handling medical data. The key focus of the proposed system is to ensure privacy throughout the diagnosis process. This involves developing machine learning models that can make accurate predictions while preserving the confidentiality of patient records. The system operates efficiently within the resource- constrained environment of edge computing platforms, addressing the drawbacks of the conventional system. Real-time processing is prioritized to cater to healthcare conditions that require immediate attention. The proposed system not only provides timely results but also maintains a high level of accuracy and reliability, instilling trust in healthcare providers and ensuring that patients receive optimal care. This research aligns with the principles of patient-centric care, allowing patients to have more control over their data, share it securely with healthcare providers, and receive real-time decision support while preserving the privacy and integrity of their medical information

Granulometric study of sediments the most important tool to decipher the transportation history of detrital grains and depositional environment of sediments. In the present study an attempt has been made to carry out the granulometric study of the Murwara area, Katni district, sandstone of Upper Vindhyans of the Meso to Neoproterozoic age. In this study the grain size and roundness have been measured and presented in the bar diagrams showing that these rocks consist of fine sand size, rounded to sub-rounded, moderately well sorted nearly symmetric and lepto to platykurtic. The results of bivariate plots show clustering of data and the results of the diagrams plotted between kurtosis and skewness reveal that these sedimentary rocks have been formed the combination of fluvial and shallow marine deltic regime as their transportation might been through fluvial agency and has been deposited, in shallow marine environment. &nbsp

Integration of Human Vision and Machine perception to Forecast the User's Desired Mode of Movement by Using Deep Learning Technique

    Get PDF
Wearable robot control relies on anticipating the user's preferred mode of locomotion to provide smooth transitions for the user when traversing different terrains. While machine perception has shown promise recently for detecting impending terrains in the trip path, current methods are unable to recognize human intent, which is necessary for coordinated wearable robot operation, and are instead restricted to environment perception. Therefore, the goal of this research is to create a new system that accurately forecasts the user's mode of movement by combining machine perception (which captures ambient data) with human vision (which represents user intent). The system can detect the user's intended path in a complicated setting with various terrains since it has multimodal visual information. Moreover, a fusion algorithm based on dynamic time-warping techniques To produce flexible judgments on the time of locomotion mode change for wearable robot control, a fusion technique was devised to align the temporal forecasting from individual modalities. Through the use of experimental data gathered from five people, the system's performance was verified. It demonstrated a high degree of intent detection accuracy (almost 96% on average) and dependable decision-making on locomotion transition with customizable lead time. These encouraging results show that combining machine perception and human vision may be used to identify lower limb wearable robots' intent to move. &nbsp

Secure Data Storage Optimization Over Cloud using Encrypted Cloud Data Deduplication Technique

    Get PDF
Data deduplication is a crucial data compression technique used to eliminate duplicate copies of repetitive data, commonly employed in cloud storage to reduce storage space and bandwidth usage. To ensure the confidentiality of sensitive data while supporting deduplication, a method known as convergent encryption has been introduced to encrypt data before outsourcing. In this paper, we present the first formal approach to address the problem of authorized data deduplication. Unlike traditional deduplication systems, we also consider the varying privileges of users during the duplicate check process, in addition to the data itself. We introduce several novel deduplication constructions that facilitate authorized duplicate check within a hybrid cloud architecture. A comprehensive security analysis validates the effectiveness of proposed scheme based on the specified security model. As a proof of concept, we have implemented a prototype of the proposed authorized duplicate check scheme and performed testbed experiments using it. The results demonstrate that proposed approach incurs minimal overhead compared to normal operations.   &nbsp

Technology has changed so much, so is the rate of people of all ages who are attracted to electronic gadgets. In many industries, electronic devices such as smart card readers, barcodes, and RFID scanners are increasingly used. Supermarkets also need these kinds of gadgets. Currently, every person in the mall purchases the product placed in the trolley. Upon purchase, the person will have to stand in a queue for billing. In the billing process, an employee scans each product's barcode and bills it to the final. This process can take a lot of time and it can be even worse on holidays, special offers or weekends. To overcome this, a smart way to shop in malls has been developed. Each product has an RFID tag instead of a barcode. The Smart Trolley features an RFID reader, LCD and IOT module. When a person places any product on the trolley, it is scanned and the product's cost, name, and expiration date are displayed. The total cost will be added to the final check out bill. The bill is stored in the microcontroller’s memory and also transfer through IOT module for counter checkup through android application. Once the purchase is complete, the purchase details are sent to the customer through the IOT module. This information is also sent to central android application through IOT transmitter at the trolley and IOT receiver at android phone using Telnet application. If the customer wants to remove the added product, the product should be scanned again. Then the cost of the corresponding product will be deducted from the bill. Raspberry pi IDE software tool is used for programming and Proteus software is used to check simulation results before hardware implementation
