    Guest editorial: special issue on high mobility wirelesscommunications

    he high-speed railway and high-way networks are now expanding at a phenomenal speed in China and in many other parts of the world. The related broadband wireless communication over high-speed trains and highway vehicles is a very challenging task due to hostile transmission channel conditions. The demand for such services is growing rapidly, following the proliferation of laptop/tablet computers and smart phones. This motivates the research on wireless communications in the high mobility environments. This special issue aims at putting together the new achievements and developments in this field. There are 11 papers in this special issue, which have been organized into three thematic groups. The first group of4 papers deals with the rapidly time-varying channelmeasurement, modeling and estimation. The second group of 3 papers addresses the Doppler effects andsignal detection. The last group of 4 papers contributesto the relays, networking coding, and the fast handover schemes for high mobility scenarios.   &nbsp

    A Novel 31 Level Inverter with Level Boosting Network to Improve Power Quality in Distribution Network

    In this project, a new general cascaded multilevel inverter using developed H-bridges is proposed. The proposed topology requires a lesser number of dc voltage sources and power switches and consists of lower blocking voltage on switches, which results in decreased complexity and total cost of the inverter. These abilities obtained within comparing the proposed topology with the conventional topologies from aforementioned points of view. Moreover, a new algorithm to determine the magnitude of dc voltage sources is proposed. The performance and functional accuracy of the proposed topology using the new algorithm in generating all voltage levels for a 31-level inverter are confirmed by simulation and experimental results   &nbsp

    A Closed Loop Control Method for Renewable Energy Applications Using a New Hybrid Boosting Converter

    Conventional sources like fossil fuels were used earlier to satisfy the energy demands. Nowadays these are being replaced by renewable sources like photovoltaic sources. In this paper, a hybrid boosting converter using photovoltaic system with closed loop Control is analyzed and simulated. A new hybrid boosting converter is used to increase the input dc voltage. In Existing method hybrid boosting converter used with one switch in the converter and produce pulses for that switch in open loop. By using the open loop method we get only output as produced amount of input which is given. Then we propose a closed loop method for HBC. By using this closed loop control technique we achieve required output voltage. &nbsp

    Association of Adenometous Polyposis Coli (APC) I1307K VariantPolymorphism with Colorectal Cancer among Selected Pakistani Population

    Colorectal cancer is the result of abnormal growth of cells in colon and rectum. It is the major cause of mortality and morbidity globally. Among all cancer occurrence, CRC accounts for over 9%. In women, colorectal cancer is the seventh most common cancer and the ninth most common cancer in men, in Pakistan. Numerous risk factors are responsible for colorectal cancer, mainly age, smoking, alcohol consumption, family history and physical inactivity. Colorectal cancer due to genetic alterations occurs approximately with rate of 10% while sporadic colorectal cancer occurs with the rate of 90%. Adenomatous Polyposis Coli (APC) is a tumor suppressor gene and mutation in this gene downregulates the β-catenin which in turn activates the transcription of oncogenes. The objective of the present study is to analyze the significant association of APC I1307K (T→A) polymorphism with colorectal cancer in selected Pakistani population. This study includes 100 sporadic samples of CRC and 50 healthy controls. DNA was extracted from all CRC samples and controls. ARMS-PCR was performed to genotype APC I1307K polymorphism. Among three genotypes, TT, TA, AA, only two genotypes TT and TA were found in current study. Occurrence of APC I1307K was found to be significantly greater in CRC patients compared to controls (P-value 0.0000). Calculated allelic frequency of A allele was higher in patients (0.65%) than controls (0%). On the basis of significant statistical results, we may say that in our selected population, an association between APC I1307K variant and colorectal cancer was present. &nbsp

The creation of a portable vegetable grading system based on a microcontroller system for small agro-industries is discussed in this study. The mechanical system is made of low-cost materials and is constructed in the shape of an inclined and segmented plane to eliminate the need for a conveyor belt.     PLANKTON BIODIVERSITY AND LIMNOLOGICAL CONDITIONS IN FRESHWATER PONDS

    Our goal was to determine the limnological differences and biodiversity of plankton in two separate lentic ponds in connection to aquaculture. From December 2020 to February 2021, water samples and plankton samples were collected and analysed.The obtained samples contained six distinct species of phytoplankton, including Oscillatoria sp., Spirulina sp., Anabaena sp., Chlorella sp., Volvox sp., Spirogyra sp., and eight different species of zooplankton, including Cyclops vernalis, Oithona rigida, Eucyclops serrulatus, Oithona rigida, Eucyclops serrulatus, Oithona similis, Oithona nana, Daphnia duplux, Brachionus bruben, Branchionus sp,were observed in the collected samples.The BOD values in the six samples ranged from 6.85 to 7.40 mg/L. This suggests that there is a significant amount of organic contamination. In December 2020, all limnological parameters were average, which is necessary for plankton growth and fish survival. In January and February 2021, the limnological parameters increased somewhat, and the level of plankton in both ponds increased.As a result, these two freshwater ponds might be suitable for aquaculture

    A Extensive Study on Deep learning Architecture on Patient Treatment Trajectory Mining

    Patient treatment trajectory mining is current research field to access the response of the patient to new treatment data in clinical trials which is available in form high dimensional data. However processing of high dimensional trajectory data using machine learning model named markov chain model, learns the events but it is cumbersome and ambiguous on identifying the latent events and it fails to tackle long term dependencies between the clinical events. In order to tackle those challenges, deep learning model has been employed to effectively classify the patient treatment data to highlight the future outcome of the patients. In this paper, an extensive study has been carried out on deep learning architecture to predict the future outcomes on the patient treatment trajectory data. It is vital and essential task for providing detailed insight on disease progression and interventions. We demonstrate the efficacy of the model on long term dependency for disease progression modelling, intervention recommendation, and future risk prediction on treatment trajectory data. Further prediction on the irregularly distributed data has been analysed on employment of sampling, latent representatives and effective use of loss function. Moreover importance of activation function for learning representatives has been exploited for efficient future event prediction on extracted trajectory representation. Finally outline of the proposed methodology as framework to predict the prognosis of the patient has provided. Evaluation of models has been carried out on the ovarian cancer patient treatment data

    Experimental Study of Earth Batteries

    Earth batteries have been successfully built and operated as an alternative source of low-power electric supply. Different electrode configurations were tested for the greatest possible variation in potential. The most appropriate combinations of frequently accessible metals were chosen for more thorough characteristic investigations in light of robust and cost-effective application of this natural power technology by untrained village customers. Each cell produced a voltage of 2.05, 1.40, 1.10, and 0.9 volts when the anode and cathode were made of Magnesium, Zinc, Aluminum, and Carbon, respectively. One Zn-Cu cell was found to have an average rated power of a few tens of microampere. When it came to low-power electronic products like mobile phones and white-light LED calculators and wristwatches, the site had them all. Using many earth battery cells in series like a commercial lead acid battery resulted in a linear rise in the voltage. The load current was found to rise by connecting earth cells in parallel. Furthermore, increasing the electrode surface area was shown to boost source current capacity. However, single cell voltage was shown to stay consistent independent of the electrode diameters.
