Autotuning of parallel programs using the IBM Watsons Analytics data analysis system
In this paper an analytical model of the method of automatic adjustment of parallel programs (auto-tuning) is presented. The software implementation of this model is based on the formal transformations of code and using expert data as a foundation of the optimization process and further analysis of the results with the IBM Watsons Analytics system. The results of a practical experiment confirming the effectiveness of the approach used in optimizing parallel programs are presented. The principles of the IBM Watsons Analytics data analysis system are examined and the system itself is shown in action.Problems in programming 2018; 1: 46-5
System aspects of design guaranteased cloud calculations
There is discussed the system aspects of designing secure cloud computing. Technical realization of such computational content is possible with the use of a spatial fault-tolerant multiprocessor of a real time scale with a variable ratio of performance and reliability with a lack of reliability resources by means of the operating system, dynamically changing the architectural appearance of the system with structural redundancy. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of an abstract resource – reliability, its exceptional role in the design of a multiprocessor with the properties of fault tolerance. The system is reconfigured the task is redistributed among the processors. If there are free processors, the latter are initialized and included in the computational process. The authors proposed and formulated an assessment of the effectiveness of this fault-tolerant technology.Problems in programming 2018; 2-3: 061-06
Ontological similar systems for analysis of texts of natural language
In this paper an approach to building of Ontological similar systems for analysis of texts in natural language (on this time only Ukrainian languages) is considered. Such systems are built on the base of formal definitions of ontology O = (X, R, F, A (D, Rc)) and syntactical and semantic analysis by using elements of Descriptive logics. When constructing an ontology, a subject domain is indicated and includes concepts from X and relations from R. Such indicates are necessary because of semantic sense of concepts and relations can be depend of the domain. Specification of domain is necessary to define more precision of the interpretation F. Additional adjustments of F are described by the axioms A of this domain and the restrictions Rc, which have the form of additional definitions (clarifications, constraints on possible values, etc.) of the properties of the domain of interpretation D. An input text T considered as domain of interpretation D.From Descriptive logics we use definition of syntax of concepts and relations. Using this syntax ef concepts and definitions we obtain first order logic and can do reasoning and obtain conclusions from information derived from input text. The input text T considered as the domain D of interpretation F for concepts X and relations R which are derived from it.Syntactical and semantic result of analysis is used as input data for building of ontology. As a result of such analysis is the partition of objects on the groups which are correspond of the parts of speech. By using this information and additional adjustments we build data knowledge of the input domain.In terms of user the domain D looks like an object of the relational database, which includes only unary and binary relations. The difference lies in the fact that classical database relationships are closed within this domain, while D as a database is open because the normalized representation of knowledge is executed in a situation where there is no assumption about the completeness of these knowledge. In addition, D relates the semantic relations of the concepts and the relation, which is not analogous to the relational database semantics.Problems in programming 2018; 2-3: 132-13

Formal and adaptive methods and software tools of parallel programming
A review of the results of the development of formal and adaptive methods and software, achieved in recent years in the Institute of Software Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, based on the algebra-algorithmic approach and the technique of rewriting rules is given. The methods are developed to automate the design, generation and transformation of parallel programs for a wide range of multiprocessor computing platforms and find application for various application areas, in particular for the effective implementation of meteorological forecasting tasks. Method of parallelization of loops for grid calculation problems on GPU accelerators
The formal parallelizing transformation of a nest of calculation loop for SIMD architecture devices, particularly for graphics processing units applying CUDA technology and heterogeneous clusters is developed. Procedure of transition from sequential to parallel algorithm is described and illustrated. Serialization of data is applied to optimize processing of large volumes of data. The advantage of the suggested method is its applicability for transformation of data which volumes exceed the memory of operating device. The experiment is conducted to demonstrate feasibility of the proposed approach. Technique presented in the provides the basis for further practical implementation of the automated system for parallelizing of nested loops.Problems in programming 2017; 1: 59-6
Морфо-фізіологічна характеристика пилку Betula pendula Roth в умовах Криворіжжя
Objective – to analyze the quality and viability of pollen Betula pendula Roth, its morphometric characteristics, depending on the influence of emissions of metallurgical combines, exhaust gases of vehicles and urbantechnical environment of Kryvyi Rih.
Material and methods. The object of the study was freshly harvested B. pendula pollen from eight plantations, which are subject of different quantitative and qualitative effects of air pollutants in Kryvyi Rih. Micropreparations were prepared according to the standard method, reviewed using the microscope Carl Zeiss Primo Star (Germany). The fertility of the pollen was determined by iodine method, and viability – by its germination under laboratory conditions. Measurements were made in AxioVision 4.8.2.0. (062010).
Results. There was found out negative influence on male gametophyte B. pendula of industrial enterprises, exhaust gases of cars and even background level of pollution in the city. For the acute emission of metallurgical combines compared with the plants of the arboretum of the botanical garden a substantial decrease in the length of the polar axis was made to 6.6 % (30.3 and 27.6 μm), the equatorial diameter to 7.8 % (30.7 and 28.3 μm), the length of the pollen tube – in 1.4 times (45.9 and 33.7 μm) the amount of fertile pollen – in 1.5 times (91.4 and 60.5 %), the amount of viable pollen in 3.4 times (49.1 and 14.3 %), increasing the share of anomalies up in 3.2 times (3.5 and 11.1 %). The pollutant emissions are less influenced by exhaust gases of motor vehicles and in general the urbantechnical environment of the city.
Conclusion. The male gametophyte of B. pendula is sensitive to the effects of atmospheric airpollutants, therefore the fertility and viability parameters of the pollen and the level of its abnormalities, can be used to reflect the degree of exposure of the airpollutants and the level of pollution in the industrial cities of the Steppe zone of Ukraine as well
Антирадикальна активність рослинних екстрактів Galega officinalis L. та G. orientalis Lam.
Objective – to estimate the antiradical scavenging ability of extracts of plants of Galega officinalis L. and G. orientalis Lam., depending on phase of growing in the conditions of M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine (NBG).
Material and methods. Plant material of this investigation was two species of Galega L. (G. officinalis and G. orientalis) collected from experimental collection of Cultural Flora Department of NBG: GOFSV (G. officinalis, spring vegetation), GOFB (G. officinalis, budding stage), GOFF (G. officinalis, flowering stage), GOFSR (G. officinalis, seed ripening stage), GORSV (G. orientalis, spring vegetation), GORB (G. orientalis, budding stage), GORF (G. orientalis, flowering stage), GORSR (G. orientalis, seed ripening stage). The antiradical activity of methanol, ethanol and aqueous extracts, based on the discoloration reaction on the solution of DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl free radical), was determined by spectrophotometric method according to Brandt-Williams et al. Biochemical preparation and analyze was carried out in the Institute of Biodiversity Conservation and Biosafety, the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovak Republic) and NBG. The total content of tannins was determined by titrimetric method according to Krischenko (water extracts with indigo carmine were titrated by permanganate solution).
Results. We determined that methanol extracts of Galega officinalis plants had antiradical activity in range from 19.39 % (GOFB) to 95.18 % (GOFSR), ethanol extracts – from 11.24 % (GOFB) to 92.87 % (GOFF), and water extracts – from 28.64 % (GOFSR) to 74.63 % (GOFF). Methanol extracts of Galega orientalis plants had antiradical activity from 20.20 % (GORSR) to 91.72 % (GORB), ethanol extracts – from 11.74 % (GORSR) to 84.74 % (GORF), and water extracts – from 22.90 % (GORSV) to 77.72 % (GORF). The total content of tannins for G. officinalis was in range of 1.22 to 4.17 % and for G. orientalis – from 1.55 to 4.42 % during vegetation.
Conclusions. Plant raw material of two Galega L. species is potential source of antioxidants. During vegetation antiradical activity of plant extracts of Galega officinalis exhibited 11.24–95.18 % and Galega orientalis – 11.74–91.72 % depending on extract and phase of growing in conditions of NBG. Спонтанна флора Сирецького дендрологічного парку загальнодержавного значення (м. Київ)
Objective – to study the species composition and structure of spontaneous flora in the territory of the Syrets Arboretum (Kyiv).
Material and methods. The study was conducted in 2014–2017 on the territory of the Syrets Arboretum for the inventory of its collection of plants.
Results. The list of the spontaneous flora of the Syrets Arboretum is presented, which includes 421 species of 78 families. The groups of indigenous and introduced species of plants with high acclimatization indexes, which for various reasons are not included in the studied spontaneous flora, have been examined.
Conclusions. The spontaneous flora of the Syrets Arboretum consists of three main groups of taxa – indigenous species (56.5 %), xenophytes (24.5 %) and ergasiophytes (19.0 %) and is characterized by considerable species richness in comparison with other botanical institutions of Ukraine. Сезонний ритм росту та розвитку Iris domestica Goldblatt et Mabb. в умовах Правобережного степового Придніпров’я
Objective – to determine rhythms of phenological development of Iris domestica Goldblatt et Mabb. in the collection of the Krivyi Rih Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine for the assessment of prospects of their cultivation in conditions of the Right-Bank of steppe Dnieper.
Material and methods. The material of the study was the plants of the I. domestica collection fund of the Krivyi Rih Botanical Garden, grown from the seeds of their own reproduction. Phenological observations in 2012–2016 were conducted according to the generally accepted method of phenological observations in botanical gardens of the USSR (1975). The dates onset of the development phases was translated into a conditional day from March 1, according to the method of G.N. Zaitsev (1978).
Results. It was found that in our conditions vegetation begins in the II-III decade of March with the accumulation of temperatures above 5 °C from 8 to 22 °C. The period of budding occurs in the II-III decade of June in the presence of the sum of active temperatures above 10 °C from 574 to 672 °C. Flowering begins with the III decade of June – I decades of July in the presence of the sum of active temperatures above 10 °C 596–794 °C and ends in the I-II decade of August for the sum of active temperatures above 10 °C from 1088 to 1311 °C. The vegetation period of the plant ends in the I decade of October – the III decade of November.
Conclusions. It was established that in the conditions of Kryvyi Rih I. domestica undergo all phases of phenological development, which are characterized by a wide amplitude of their onset and depend on the accumulation of the sum of active temperatures. The variability of the seasonal rhythm of development suggests a sufficient degree of adaptation of the species to the climatic conditions of the Right-Bank of steppe Dnieper and the potentially high ability of their successful growth in the regio
