THE TRACE OF POSTMODERN FEATURES IN DAVID MAMET'S AMERICAN BUFFALO
The present research intends to study the multifarious interface of postmodern features and power relations in David Mamet's distinguished drama, American Buffalo, in light of Michel Foucault's theory of power. This investigation seeks to find the discreet hints of postmodern aesthetics ingrained in the storyline of the play, and simultaneously scrutinize how Foucault's theory of power brightens the plentiful accounts of power relations, intervention, and confrontation amid the characters. Taking advantage of Foucault's theories of power as an omnipresent force that works through discourses, associations, and communal dealings, this paper scrutinizes the way in which Mamet's employment of such postmodern components as disjointed descriptions and verbal play interweaves with and impedes the power relations in the world of American Buffalo. By positioning the characters in a mesh of power dealings that regulate their movements, stimulations, and identities, this exploration analyzes the central power skirmishes that drive the melodramatic pressures in the play. As well, the contemplation of ethical predicaments resulting from the power subtleties signified in American Buffalo delivers important considerations of issues of reconnaissance, supremacy, and confrontation

The article is defined by the concrete results of the research that is translation of realia from English into Uzbek and vice versa. The translation of realia is one of great and important problems of transference of national and historical peculiarities, which ascend to the very conception of theory of translation as independent discipline. Not setting ourselves a target to give a historical survey we bring only some facts and names connected with the elaboration of this problem in translation. The results can be used in the lectures of translation, lexicology, and stylistics and in practical lessons of English. The aim of this article is to give a complete and through description of the realia and work out the ways of transferring them in the process of translation
EFFECTIVITY OF SUPERVISION THEORY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION
This study aims to explore the factors that influence the effectiveness of supervision in education, focusing on various theories of supervision such as clinical, formal, reflective, and transformational supervision. Using a qualitative research design with a case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis in several schools. Thematic analysis was used to identify the main themes from the data obtained. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of supervision is influenced by the quality of communication between supervisors and teachers, a clear understanding of the purpose of supervision, and the competence of supervisors in providing constructive feedback. A supportive school context and culture are also very important for teacher professional development. A supervision approach that is tailored to the specific needs of schools and teachers has been shown to be effective in improving the quality of teaching and student learning outcomes. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of a holistic approach to supervision to achieve overall improvements in the quality of education. Recommendations for further research include longitudinal studies and exploration of the use of technology in supervision to support further teacher professional development
THE ROLE OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION IN CURBING DRUG ADDICTION AMONG THE YOUTH IN KATSINA STATE
One of the objectives of Islamic education is the total commitment to character building based on the ideals of Islamic ethics. It is the highest goal of Islamic education. Once a character is lost, it would be difficult to redevelop it. This study discusses the causes of addiction among the young people in Katsina state and how to address the treatment of drug issues with a view to a religious perspective as an alternative that can enhance the spiritual heir to young. Thus, the Quran and Hadith of the Prophet SAW, as the primary references in Islam, have a vital role in resolving the problem of Muslims related to drugs
BASIC PROBLEMS AND CHALLENGES IN MODERN TRANSLATION
Globalization profoundly impacts not only the cultural landscapes of nations but also their linguistic systems, resulting in increasingly complex translation challenges. General Background: As languages evolve and intermingle due to global interactions, the demand for accurate and culturally sensitive translations escalates. Specific Background: Traditional translation methods often struggle to keep pace with rapid linguistic changes, particularly when aided by artificial intelligence (AI) translators, which can misinterpret cultural nuances and idiomatic expressions. Knowledge Gap: Despite advancements in AI-driven translation technologies, there remains a significant gap in understanding how these systems can be optimized to enhance translation quality and effectiveness in a globalized context. Aims: This study aims to explore innovative strategies and methodologies that can improve translation outcomes, focusing on the interplay between globalization and language evolution. Results: Through a comprehensive analysis of existing translation frameworks and the incorporation of interdisciplinary approaches, the findings reveal critical factors that contribute to more accurate and contextually appropriate translations. Novelty: The research introduces a novel model that integrates cultural competence into AI translation algorithms, addressing specific shortcomings in current technologies. Implications: The implications of this study extend beyond the field of translation studies; they inform AI development, enhance cross-cultural communication, and support global interactions in diverse fields such as business, diplomacy, and education. This work ultimately aims to contribute to the creation of more effective and culturally aware translation tools in an increasingly interconnected world
PAKEM APPLICATION IN FIQIH LEARNING AT MIN 46 ACEH BESAR
This research is motivated by the implementation of PAKEM in Fiqh Learning at MIN 46 Aceh Besar starting from the need to improve the quality of Fiqh learning, which so far still often uses conventional methods such as lectures. This method often makes students passive and less actively involved in the learning process, so that understanding of Fiqh material is less than optimal. The PAKEM method (Active, Creative, Effective, and Enjoyable Learning) was introduced to create more interactive learning and involve students in the learning process more actively. The method used in the study is to use a qualitative approach with the type of field research. The research results show that: 1). The effectiveness of the application of the PAKEM method in Fiqh learning at MIN 46 Aceh Besar is that the application of the PAKEM method in Fiqh learning at MIN 46 Aceh Besar is very effective in improving the quality of learning. Students become more active, creative, and enjoy the learning process. 2). Supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the PAKEM method in Fiqh learning at MIN 46 Aceh Besar are that there are several challenges, such as differences in student abilities and limited facilities, the implementation of PAKEM still has a significant positive impact on student learning outcomes
