    Peran Media Sosial dalam Pemasaran Event di Mal Botani Square

    The study examines the role of social media in event marketing at the Botani Square Mall, focusing on mutual engagement between social media use and event management. In today’s digital age, social media has become a vital medium for increasing consumer participation and engagement. The study evaluated the effectiveness of marketing strategies implemented by Botani Square Mall in promoting events organized through social media to their impact on the event organized. Maintenance of an event requires social media to be able to market the event and eventually attract a lot of participants or visitors. This is one of the main targets or goals of the event. At the same time, the social media used can also be affected by insights arising from the upload of social media content related to the event so that engagement is increased. The findings underline the importance of sustained interaction on social media to increase engagement and success in event marketing.Studi ini meneliti peran media sosial dalam pemasaran event di Mal Botani Square, dengan fokus pada keterlibatan timbal balik antara penggunaan media sosial dan manajemen event. Di era digital saat ini, media sosial telah menjadi media yang penting untuk meningkatkan partisipasi dan keterlibatan konsumen. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas strategi pemasaran yang diterapkan oleh Mal Botani Square dalam mempromosikan event yang diselenggarakan melalui media sosial hingga dampaknya terhadap event yang diselenggarakan. Penyelenggaraan sebuah event tentunya juga membutuhkan media sosial untuk dapat memasarkan event tersebut dan pada akhirnya dapat menarik banyak peserta atau pengunjung yang tentunya hal ini menjadi salah satu target atau tujuan utama dari terselenggaranya event tersebut. Pada saat yang sama, media sosial yang digunakan juga dapat terpengaruh oleh insight yang muncul dari unggahan konten media sosial terkait event sehingga engagement meningkat.     SISTEM MONITORING ENERGI DAN BIAYA KONSUMSI LISTRIK RUMAH TANGGA BERBASIS IOT

    In Indonesia, household electricity consumption dominates at 91.47%, increasing living costs. To tackle this, an Internet of Things based system for monitoring energy and electricity expenditure has been developed, accessible through a mobile app. This employs the PZEM-004T sensor linked to an ESP32 to measure electric parameters such as voltage, current, power, energy, and consumption costs. Gathered data is shown on an LCD and sent to Firebase, syncing with the app for easy monitoring by users. The app also offers features to download data and calculate electricity costs for varying periods. Testing of the PZEM-004T sensor showed voltage and current measurement accuracies of 98.5% and 99.89%, respectively, indicating high precision with minimal error. Connected to home appliances, it recorded 0.474 kWh of energy use, costing Rp 640.85. The app displays measurements of five electrical parameters and allows users to download monthly data in Excel format and estimate daily, monthly, and yearly electricity expenses.Pengguna listrik terbesar di Indonesia berasal dari golongan rumah tangga yang mencapai 91,47%, yang menyebabkan peningkatan biaya rumah tangga. Oleh karena itu, dibuat sebuah sistem monitoring energi dan biaya konsumsi listrik rumah tangga berbasis Internet of Things yang dapat dipantau melalui aplikasi mobile, dengan menggunakan sensor PZEM-004T yang terhubung ke ESP32 untuk mengukur parameter listrik seperti tegangan, arus, daya, energi, dan biaya konsumsi. Data yang dikumpulkan ditampilkan pada LCD dan ditransmisikan ke Firebase, yang sinkron dengan aplikasi, memungkinkan pengguna untuk memantau biaya konsumsi listrik. Aplikasi juga dilengkapi dengan fungsi untuk mengunduh data dan menghitung biaya listrik selama berbagai periode. Hasil pengujian PZEM-004T didapat persentase akurasi pengukuran tegangan 98,5% dan arus 99,89% yang menandakan sensor ini mengukur dengan akurat, dengan persentase error tegangan dan arus masing-masing sebesar 1,5% dan 0,11%. Setelah terhubung ke peralatan rumah tangga, sistem mencatat penggunaan energi sebesar 0.474 kWh, dengan biaya Rp 640,85. Aplikasi menampilkan hasil pengukuran 5 parameter listrik.     Maintenance and repair of three-wheeled motorbikes is one of the fields of study in the Maintenance and Repair Skills Group, Department of Mechanical Engineering. Experse Group of Machine Maintenance and Repair initiated the implementation of community service, namely Training (Assistance) on the maintenance and repair of three-wheeled motorbikes for the Coordinators and Cleaning Officers of the Waste Processing Unit in Depok. The background to this activity is that there are complaints from the community regarding the presence of rubbish piling up in residential areas because motorbike carts are often damaged due to very high operational capacity. Meanwhile, waste collection officers do not have the skills to repair it and if it is handed over to a repair shop, there are not adequate funds. With this program, it is hoped that sanitation workers can take the initiative to repair motorbikes that carry rubbish so that residents' complaints can be minimized.     This research explains the use of SketchUp application for effective layout design based on a case studyof the ASPEKSINDO Maritime Festival 2023. This research explores the potential for using one layouttechnology, the SketchUp application. This research use a case study as a method. In the process, theresearchers found several obstacles that hampered the layout design process. Based on these findings,the researchers was able to overcome these obstacles so that the layout process could be completed. Itcan be concluded that the SketchUp application can be used effectively in designing 2D and 3D layoutswith fairly high accuracy. Hope this research can contribute to the development of event technology,and increasing efficiency, such as maximizing space in a venue.     The occurrence of Covid-19 and the increase in cigarette excise rates caused a decline in HMSP share performance over the past three years, resulting in PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk creating and launching IQOS ILUMA, an innovative smoke-free tobacco product. This launch is expected to generate a positive market reaction so that HMSP's shares have the potential to increase however, market reaction do not always give a positive reaction. Therefore, this study aims to find out whether the existence of IQOS ILUMA can give a positive or negative reaction or even no reaction to HMSP shares. In this study, Researcher will compare market reactions according to the theory of event studies and in real terms. According to the event study theory, market reaction is measured by abnormal returns, and trading volume activity, these is tested by paired sample t-test. Meanwhile, if seen in real terms, it is measured from the price and trading volume of HMSP shares. According the event study theory , the result shows that the launch of IQOS ILUMA did not cause a market reaction to HMSP shares. But in real market, it shows that the launch of IQOS ILUMA gave a positive market reaction to HMSP shares.     This research focuses on the issue of the power of words in media. The problem is the intertwined reporting between social media and mainstream media. The purpose of the study is to achieve the power of words in the accuracy of news. Words are intertwined in the news for language editors both in the Kompas and Tempo media. In general, the use of words on social media uses mixed language. The confusion of the use of words is reflected in the confusion of meaning. The meaning of words through social media is also intertwined with the use of foreign language words (English), alay, slang, and "Jaksel language". Therefore, language editors require word checking. Mainstream media editors devoutly curate words. For this reason, efforts are needed to accurately report the media. Several words were curated. Efforts to curate media coverage to achieve the accuracy of word meaning. So, every word curated in media coverage has precision, thoroughness, and precision. However, word curation attaches importance to the awareness, knowledge, and skills of language editors. This research reveals that significant word confusion in media reporting is curated based on a journalism approach. Thus, the confusion of the meaning of words disseminated through media coverage has accuracy. So, how connected words are is important to know their accuracy through meaning journalism. As one of the predictors of word incorrectness, it not only needs to be curated by language editors but also curated through documentation and literature studies.     TRANSLATION ANALYSIS OF QUESTIONING RESPONSES ON THE NOVEL THE KILL ORDER AND THE TRANSLATION QUALITY

    This study is about the translation quality on questioning responses in the novel entitled The Kill Order and its translation. This study aimed to describe the function of directive speech act specifically questioning responses and its translation in the novel The Kill Order. Besides it also described the translation techniques used in the translation version. This study used descriptive qualitative by focusing on single case. Data sources used was the novel The Kill Order and its translation. The data of the study was the sentences containing the questioning responses. The results of the study based on 23 data found that there were nine responses of direct speech and two indirect responses. Those functions included asking, commenting, denying, requesting, suggesting, insulting, ridiculing, reviewing, pleading and disagreeing. Whereas for response of indirect speech was no response/answer from the hearer and only face expression. No exists answers and expressions face. The translation technique used in the translation version were six techniques by applying single and couplet techniques. The couplet technique used 23 times while six techniques were single technique. Generally, the technique found in the research were including literal, established equivalence, amplification, reduction, discursive creation, and transposition. While for couplet technique were reduction and addition. The use of those techniques tends to produce the translation quality which less accurate yet they are sill acceptabl

    QUALITY OF CONCEPTUAL METAPHOR IN AUTOMATIC TRANSLATION FEATURE OF POLITICAL HEADLINES BY TEMPO.CO AND KOMPAS TV ON X

    This study examines the types of conceptual metaphor of political news headlines of @tempo.co and @KompasTV by automatic translation feature on X using the theory of Lakoff and Johnson (2003). This study aims to analyze the types of conceptual metaphor, identify techniques of translation, and assess quality of translation consisting of accuracy, acceptability, and readability. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was applied, using content analysis and focus group discussions (FGD) as data collection techniques. The results reveal that there are 100 data containing conceptual metaphor on political news headlines of @tempodotco and @KompasTV. The three types of conceptual metaphor are structural metaphor, ontological metaphor, and ontological metaphor. The most frequent data is ontological metaphor within fifty-six (56) data followed by the commonly used technique, literal translation. The quality of translation shows the score of accuracy is 2.43, acceptability 2.44, and readability 2.49 which indicates these scores are still less accurate, less acceptable and have severe readability issues, which is due to automatic translation feature on X still has limitations in understanding context, language, and culture

    Penerapan Sistem Artifical Intelligence Pada Alat Keamanan Gerbang Otomatis Wilayah Perumahan

    People are worried about the increasing crime such as theft in housing, so a reliable security system, including automatic gates with IoT (Internet of Things) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) is needed. AI can detect faces to improve security and facilitate access, keeping the environment safe. The use of IoT and AI enables a smarter and more responsive security system, reducing the risk of crime and increasing comfort. This system uses Python, Webcam, and Raspberry Pi to improve security and access efficiency. Python programs object detection and facial recognition algorithms, while the Webcam captures images or videos. Raspberry Pi as the processing center runs an AI model that recognizes vehicles and occupant identities based on facial features, ensuring that only registered occupants can open access, thereby improving security and housing access control. Test results show that the detection system works quite well in identifying vehicles and faces, with an average combined accuracy of 66.5%, which is obtained from the results of testing the object detection system (58%) and facial recognition (75%). QoS measurements of the Telkomsel LTE module show very good performance with a Throughput of 380.58 bps, Packet Loss 0%, and Delay 3.4 ms. The average download value of 19 Mbps, upload 4 Mbps, and ping 32 ms is also adequate.Masyarakat resah dengan meningkatnya kejahatan seperti pencurian di perumahan, sehingga sistem keamanan yang handal, termasuk gerbang otomatis dengan IoT (Internet of Things) dan AI (Artificial Intelligence), sangat diperlukan. AI dapat mendeteksi wajah untuk meningkatkan keamanan dan mempermudah akses, menjaga lingkungan tetap aman. Penggunaan IoT dan AI memungkinkan sistem keamanan yang lebih cerdas dan responsif, mengurangi risiko kejahatan serta meningkatkan kenyamanan. Sistem ini menggunakan Python, Webcam, dan Raspberry Pi untuk meningkatkan keamanan dan efisiensi akses. Python memprogram algoritma deteksi objek dan pengenalan wajah, sementara Webcam menangkap gambar atau video. Raspberry Pi sebagai pusat pemrosesan menjalankan model AI yang mengenali kendaraan dan identitas penghuni berdasarkan fitur wajah, memastikan hanya penghuni terdaftar yang dapat membuka akses, sehingga meningkatkan keamanan dan kontrol akses perumahan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem deteksi berfungsi cukup baik dalam mengidentifikasi kendaraan dan wajah, dengan indikasi sebesar 66.5%. Pengukuran QoS modul LTE Telkomsel, menunjukkan kinerja sangat bagus dengan Throughput 380.58 bps, Packet Loss 0%, dan Delay 3.4 ms. Nilai rata-rata Download 19 Mbps, upload 4 Mbps, dan ping 32 ms juga memadai
