Contemporary Consciousness of Akbar Alahabadi
Akbar Alahabadi holds a distinguished place among the major classical poets and intellectual figures of the Subcontinent due to the depth, insight, and critical awareness reflected in his poetry. He was not merely a satirist who employed humor for entertainment; rather, he was a perceptive thinker who closely examined the realities of his age. His poetic vision encompasses a wide range of concerns, including political domination, social transformation, cultural dislocation, educational trends, economic pressures, and moral as well as religious decline.During the colonial period, a large segment of Indian Muslim society began to adopt Western lifestyles, values, and educational models uncritically. This tendency, in Akbar Alahabadi’s view, threatened Islamic identity, ethical stability, and indigenous cultural traditions. Through sharp satire and subtle irony, he challenged this blind imitation and exposed the internal contradictions and moral shortcomings of Western civilization. At the same time, he emphasized that Islam provides a holistic and balanced framework capable of addressing human needs in all spheres of life.Akbar Alahabadi’s poetry reveals social hypocrisy, moral erosion, intellectual confusion, and cultural alienation within Muslim society, presenting these issues in a manner that provokes reflection rather than mere ridicule. His satirical style serves a reformative purpose, aiming to protect moral values, discourage vulgarity, and resist cultural domination. Moreover, he offers thoughtful and practical perspectives on social, educational, psychological, and economic problems, which enhance the lasting relevance of his work. Consequently, his poetry stands as a strong expression of contemporary consciousness and an intellectual resistance to cultural and ideological subjugation
Applied Psychology in Teaching Methodology: Insights from the Practices of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad
Teaching is both an art and a science, requiring an in-depth understanding of human behavior, cognitive processes, and motivational drivers. Applied psychology, with its vast body of knowledge, provides valuable insights for optimizing teaching methodologies. This research article explores the intersection between applied psychology and the teaching methods employed by Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the founder of Islam. By examining the pedagogical strategies used by the Prophet, we can identify principles that align with contemporary educational practices. Prophet Muhammad\u27s approach to teaching, rooted in empathy, patience, and strategic communication, mirrors key concepts in applied psychology that emphasize active learning, positive reinforcement, and emotional intelligence. This research highlights eight essential areas where the Prophet\u27s teaching methods align with psychological principles, including the use of storytelling, individualized attention, promoting intrinsic motivation, fostering a growth mindset, and emphasizing the importance of a supportive learning environment. Furthermore, the Prophet’s emphasis on moral and character development in his teaching further supports the psychological perspective that emotional and social well-being are integral to learning. By drawing parallels between these traditional methods and modern psychological theories, we gain a richer understanding of how educational practices can be enhanced. This paper aims to provide contemporary educators with practical insights drawn from both Islamic teachings and applied psychology, thereby helping to refine their pedagogical approaches. Ultimately, these insights can help educators engage students more effectively and create a more supportive and dynamic learning experience in the modern educational landscape.

The Status of Women in the Quran and Islamic Traditions: According to Anne Marie Shamal
Schimmel emphasizes that the effects of tradition and culture on women in Islam should be assessed in the context of the Qur\u27anic teachings to ensure that women are granted their rightful place in society. In her analysis, she critiques how traditional interpretations of Islam have often overshadowed the egalitarian spirit of the Qur\u27an. Schimmel argues that cultural practices and societal norms, rather than the religion itself, have historically restricted women\u27s rights and roles in the Muslim world. According to Schimmel, the Qur\u27an offers women dignity, equality, and the opportunity for both spiritual and intellectual growth. However, the widespread influence of patriarchal cultural traditions has obscured these fundamental rights. She stresses the importance of distinguishing between Islamic teachings and the societal customs that have been mistakenly attributed to Islam. By separating religious doctrine from cultural practices, Schimmel suggests that it is possible to restore a more accurate understanding of the status of women in Islam, one that upholds the Qur\u27anic vision of gender equality. In her view, restoring the true position of women requires not only a deep understanding of the Qur\u27an’s messages but also a commitment to confronting the limitations imposed by tradition and culture. Schimmel’s work serves as a call to return to the core principles of Islam, ensuring that women receive the respect, equality, and spiritual opportunities intended by the religion

Witnessing the limitations of environmental justice issues in China, especially in rural Hubei: Promoting environmental education and a just environmental governance.
Environmental injustice describes the disproportionate environmental hazards on marginalized communities. While environmental justice movements have gained traction globally, the issue remains understudied in China. This topic is crucial as it reveals challenges faced by marginal communities due to inadequate environmental governance, limited legal protections and insufficient public awareness. The research utilizes a qualitative approach, analyzing policy documents, case studies, academic literature, and interviews to identify systemic flaws in China’s environmental justice framework, with specific investigation in Zhongxiang’s phosphorus chemical industry providing deeper insights into practical implications of these issues. Findings have pointed out a lack of effective legal framework for public interest litigation, restricted chances for the public to participate in environmental governance, and the inability of local communities to advocate for their rights because of deficiencies in environmental education. To address these challenges, the study recommends strengthening legal protections, enhancing public participation mechanisms, and developing environmental education programs. These measures are essential for fostering equitable environmental governance and empowering marginalized communities to address environmental inequalities effectively

Language and Identity: How Bilingualism Shapes Social Perception
This study explores the complex relationship between bilingualism and social perception, focusing on how language use shapes personal and social identities. The research investigates how bilingual individuals navigate their identities across different linguistic contexts and how their language choices influence their interactions with others. Drawing on sociolinguistic theories of identity and symbolic interactionism, the study examines both self-perception and the perceptions of bilingual speakers by monolinguals, with particular emphasis on stereotypes, social inclusion, and exclusion.Using a mixed-methods approach, the research collects qualitative data through in-depth interviews and focus groups with bilingual individuals, alongside a survey of monolingual observers. The findings reveal that bilingual individuals often adjust their language use based on social settings, with code-switching acting as a key marker of identity. Additionally, bilinguals report experiences of both empowerment and marginalization, depending on the societal attitudes toward their languages. Monolingual participants, in turn, exhibit varying levels of acceptance or prejudice toward bilingual speakers, influenced by language ideologies and cultural biases. This study contributes to the understanding of how bilingualism functions as both a social asset and a source of division, shedding light on the broader implications for educational practices, multicultural policies, and social integration. The research highlights the need for greater awareness of the ways in which language shapes social dynamics and encourages more inclusive attitudes toward linguistic diversity
