The Arabic contributions in the specialized classification, thesauruses and subject headings lists are few, like the few of bibliographic studies or Bibliometrics, Which shows the lack of initiative for our librarians.At a time in which abounded techniques and means documentary that have proved effective in the treatment of terminology, concepts and even developed in many domains such as informatics, education, psychology, management, marketing and many other sciences. وبالاستناد لنتائج المسح فإن معظم أعضاء هيئة التدريس مقتنعون بتوظيف الإنترنت في العملية التعليمية وعلى الرغم من ذلك فإن جزء كبير منهم لا يستخدمها في العملية التعليمية حيث يعتبر حجم استغلال شبكة الإنترنت لعينة الدراسة ضعيف جدا.The main objective of this research paper is to highlight the current status of the internet usability within Libyan higher education institutions, as long with studying the difficulties that mitigate electronic education in Libya. Also, this paper raises up the critical problems that facing higher education in the country. Aiming to conduct a firm study, previous studies have been reviewed to make quality comparison between Libyan higher education system and other regional and international education systems. In order to achieve the objectives of the paper the descriptive approach and the survey method have been used. Previous Libyan and international studies and reports indicate that Libyan higher education lists among the lower qualitied education system in the world. Based on surveys, most faculty members in Libyan universities believe of importance of internet in the education process. Get PDFهدفت الدراسة إلى تحليل 22 عدداً من أعداد المجلة اليمنية للبحوث والدراسات الزراعية (1994-2010م). شملت العيّنة 332 مادة منشورة ظهرت بمتوسط عددين/السنة، وبمتوسط 15 عنواناً/عدد. تبيّن أن (60%) من عينة الدراسة عبارة عن مقالات بحوث علمية، وتوزّعت بقيّة النسبة على 8 من أنواع النشر العلمي المعروفة بنسبٍ منخفضة ومتفاوتة: "مقالات المراجعة"، و"عروض الكتب"، و"وقائع الفعاليات العلمية الزراعية"، و"القوائم الببلوغرافية الزراعية". توزّعت المواد المنشورة على 14 مجالاً علمياً زراعياً، قليلاً منها كان أكثر تكراراً نسبياً كـ: "الاقتصادية-الاجتماعية"، و"وقاية المزروعات"، و"المحاصيل الحقلية". وظهرت باقي المجالات بنسبٍ متدنية كـ: "المكننة الزراعية"، و"تربية النبات"، و"التقانات الحيوية". تضمنت الدراسة بعض التصورات لتطوير النشر العلمي مستقبلاً.The study aimed at analyzing the materials of 22 issues of YJARS published by AREA (1994 -2010). The sample consisted of 332 published items appeared at an average of 15 topics/issue, at a rate of 2 journal issues/year. Research articles formed 60% of the total sample. Remaining eight types of published materials appeared at lower percentages. Among 14 agricultural disciplines identified, only few disciplines scored a relatively high percentages such as "socio-economics", "crop protection" and "cereals". The remaining specialties realized meager percentages of the total sample like: "farm mechanization", "genetics" and "bio-technology". The study suggested some measures for future improvement
Trends in Faculty Use of OERs - Open Educational Resources in Higher Education: A Case Study of Palestine Ahliya University
Get PDFمن أبرز مجالات التغيير السريع في مجال التدريس في العالم هو بروز مفهوم م.ت.م خلال العقد الأخير حيث وصفت بالثورة في مجال التعلم والتعليم، وقد ظهرت مبادرات عظيمة في العالم لتبني هذا المفهوم حتى وصل الأمر ببعض الجامعات بوضع جميع مقرراتها كاملة بكل مواردها بشكل مجاني ومفتوح، وهذا يفرض على إدارات الجامعات والمؤسسات التعليمية والتدريبية والبحثية العربية مواكبة تلك التطورات، ورسم الخطط لدمج هذه الممارسة في تدريسها وأبحاثها، لمالها من فوائدها الكبيرة على صعيد تحسين فعالية التدريس والتعلم، فضلا عن تحقيق العدالة بحصول الجميع على التعليم ورفع مستوى المؤسسة.
جاءت هذه الدراسة بناء على توجه جامعة فلسطين الأهلية (ج.ف.أ) بتشجيع استخدام هذه الموارد، وذلك لمعرفة اتجاهات أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية (هـ.ت) نحو استخدام م.ت.م في التعليم الجامعي. وقد استخدمت هذه الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، واستخدمت الاستبيان كأداة للحصول على البيانات وتكون الاستبيان من (27) فقرة، وتم استخدام عينة من (67) عضوا من أصل (104). وخلصت الدراسة إلى النتائج الآتية: عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة α = 0.05 في اتجاهات أعضاء هـ.ت نحو استخدام م.ت.م في التعليم الجامعي تعزى للمتغيرات الآتية: الجنس، الكلية، سنوات الخبرة، العمر، الأبحاث المنشورة، الدرجة العلمية، التفرغ بالجامعة، استخدام الإنترنت يوميا، إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية.The most important issue of rapid change in the field of teaching is the emergence of OERs during the last decade which described as a revolution in the field of learning and teaching. There are many great initiatives appeared in the world to adopt this concept. e.g. some universities offering all its courses with all their resources and materials online and freely and openly, imposes the managers of Arabic universities, besides Arabic educational and training institutions keeping pace with these developments, as well as making plans always to continuously integrate modern technologies in accomplishing their tasks in teaching and research, due to its great benefits in terms of improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning, as well as the achievement of justice and equality of educational opportunity and raise the institution profile.
This study is founded upon the direction of Palestine Ahliya University to encourage the use of these resources, to explore the trends of faculty members towards the use of OERs in higher education. It used the descriptive approach and it used a designed questionnaire as a tool to get the data from faculty members, consist from (27) paragraphs. The study sample chosen randomly and they were consisted of 67 faculty members of Palestine Ahliya University. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at significance level (α =0.05) in the trends of faculty members in the use of OERs in university education due to the following variables: Gender, college, years of experience, age, published research, degree, full-time working, the daily use of Internet, English language proficiency
