FAULTS ANALYSIS OF 33KV ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM IN THE ABEOKUTA BUSINESS HUB
This research work investigated the faults analysis usually encountered on a 33kv distribution system using the Abeokuta business hub in Ogun state, Nigeria as a case study. The available data which was analyzed statistically revealed that the bad condition of the physical structure of the 33kv distribution network was the major cause of frequent outage in Abeokuta and its environs. Accordingly, the deplorable state of the physical structure triggers most technical faults such as, short circuits, over-voltage etc. In this research work, different electrical faults were also studied, taking cognizance of the causes and how they hinder power supply to various consumers in Abeokuta city. Important components such as the feeders, distributors and the aluminium conductors of the 33kv distribution network were assessed. The study was extended to the 33/11kv distribution system and effects of faults on this system were also statistically analyzed. 
MEAT QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AND HERITABILITY OF BODY WEIGHT AND CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF BREAST MEAT IN JAPANESE QUAIL (Cotunix coturnix japonica)
The study was conducted to investigate the effect of sex, age, generation on meat quality of 752 Japanese quail. Determined also were realized h2 of body weight, body length and chemical compositions of the birds. Data obtained were subjected to analyses of variance and realized heritability calculated as appropriate for the following: To quantify changes in breast meat quality with respect to age and sex, body measurements with respect to sex, age and generations selected and to determine the realized h2 of body dimension, body weight and chemical composition in Japanese quail. The result shows that the sex of birds were affected by pH20mins, pH24hr Cooking loss, colour(P and pectoral major water holding capacity and lightness colour (P The advanced in age significantly affects the pH20mins, pectoral major water holding capacity, cooking loss breast muscles, lightness, redness, yellowness, chroma, hue and driploss, pectoral major water absorbing capacity Age, sex and generation significantly affect body length and some economic traits and sex of the birds except pelvic circumference and breast length in sex of Japanese quail.
EXAMINATION MANAGEMENT PORTAL FOR TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS: A CASE STUDY OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY LAFIA
A study was carried out on the analysis, design and implementation of a Web-based examination management system in Federal University Lafia. A step by step data flow diagram was created as a guide for application developers towards building a more flexible student information system for the university. Using the design, enhanced and intelligent computer software for result computation, integrated with a dedicated database for storing processed results and other relevant records was developed to simplify the University grading system and overcome the short-comings of existing examination packages. An empirical evaluation and comparison of the system with other similar systems shows that it will equally expedite the processing of students\u27 records, semester results and transcripts at various levels and offer a faster, secured management and access to students\u27 results On-line. This system is more efficient and provides substantial benefits for both the University management and students as observed in its implementation

Properties of Viscous and Joulean Dissipation on Fully Developed Natural Convection in a Vertical Micro-channel in Existence of Lorentz Forces
Magnetohydrodynamic natural convection flow in a vertical parallel plate micro-channel in presence of viscous and Joulean dissipation is theoretically examined by using a perturbation series method. The effects of velocity slip and temperature jump conditions were taken into consideration. Due to the presence of viscous and Joulean dissipation effects, the momentum and energy equations are coupled system of ordinary differential equations. Roles of Hartmann number, Knudsen number, fluid - wall interaction parameter anddissipation parameter on the flow formation as well as rate of heat transfer are presented. The results revealed that increase in Hartmann number reduced the influence of viscous as well as Joulean dissipation on the velocity, temperature, skin friction and rate of heat transfer. Effect of Hartmann number, rarefaction parameter, fluid wall interaction parameter as well as buoyancy parameter on temperature and velocity is significantly pronounced in the case of symmetric heating. 
ALLEVIATING WATER SHORTAGES IN UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN TEACHING HOSPITAL, KWARA STATE, NIGERIA
Adequate water supply is a necessity to life and an essential infrastructure in a major tertiary Hospital. This study looks into the current situation and future solution to the shortage of water experienced in the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. Total water demand was 332m3/d. considering immediate future expansion; water demand was put at 400 m3/d. Source of water was borehole yielding about 115 m3/d when working at maximum capacity, total of 20m3 water was supplied by 2 water tankers per day revealing a shortfall of 197 m3/d. Possible solutions were examined using Linsley adapted method: Surface water or river intake, direct supply from existing sources and construction of dams. GENERATION OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY VIA WIND ENERGY IN ILORIN: AN EXPLORATION OF A LOCALLY CONSTRUCTED WIND TURBINE
Wind energy is a renewable source of energy which has a definite place in the future of the generation of electricity. To harness the energy from the wind, a wind turbine is employed. Wind turbines assist in the production of power to compensate for the moderate intensity of the breeze to drive a generator. With the use of wind turbines, the energy in the wind can be converted into electrical energy. A small scale horizontal wind turbine was constructed with readily available and locally sourced materials. The height of the turbine was varied from 3 to 6 meters and two different locations in Ilorin, a tropical region, was used to observe how theturbine generates electricity via the wind turbine. The dam site, one of the locations, gives very high wind speed which in turn produces high open circuit voltage of around 4000 mV. Electrical energy generation from wind energy is observed to be largely dependent, not only on the electric motor used, but on the wind speed available for the turbine. 
PROPORTIONAL EFFECT OF OUTLIERS ON OVER-DISPERSION
The impact of outlier on analysis of time series data in causing over-dispersion was examined. The problemof overdispersion is central to all General Linear Models (GLM\u27s) having discrete responses. If the estimated dispersion after fitting is not near the expected values, then the data may be over dispersed. One of the causes of overdispersion is outlier. Outlier is a data which is unusual with respect to the group of data in which it is found. In this paper, data were simulated based on poison model using SPSS and first analysed to see whether the estimated parameters is unbiased of the fixed parameters. Thereafter, two different values of outliers, 10\u27s and 20\u27s were introduced to different percentages of the generated data and then analysed using the STATA package to observe the effect of the outliers being introduced on the data for small, moderate and large samples. The data simulated were replicated 300 times for all categories. The averages of the results were computed. The results showed that the higher the percentage of outliers the more the over-dispersion occurs in the models and the larger the sample sizethe less the over-dispersion
AIR POLLUTANTS MONITORING IN THE LOWER ATMOSPHERE OF AKWANGA LGA USING FRACTIONAL STEP TECHNIQUE
One of the greatest scourges of this era is air pollutants not only because of its impact on climate change but also of its impact on public a health. A mathematical model using the three dimensional fractional step method based on the discretization of the time dependent atmospheric advection diffusion equation for describing the dispersion of the air pollutants released from the source into the atmosphere was examined. Many pollutants that are major factors of diseases in humans such as Particulate Matter (PM), Nitrogen oxide (NO2), Sulphur oxide (SO2) and Carbon monoxide (CO) which penetrates the respiratory system via inhalation, causingrespiratory and cardiovascular diseases, reproductive and central nervous system dysfunctions, as well as cancer were identified. The study revealed that the toxicity potential (TP) of the air pollutants (NO2, and PM) are at elevated level since NO2 have been shown to cause discomfort in vulnerable persons having asthma at just 0.1ppm. The implications of the results to public health management system are further discussed. 
CONSTRUCTION OF SUITABLE LYAPUNOV FUNCTIONS FOR SYSTEMS OF LINEAR AND NONLINEAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH STABILITY OF THEIR TRIVIAL SOLUTIONS
In this paper, suitable Lyapunov functions are constructed for systems of linear and nonlinear differential equations. The Lyapunov functions constructed are tested for the stability of the trivial solutions for the stated problems and the results show that the trivial solution of the linear system of differential equations is asymptotically stable while the trivial solution of the nonlinear system of differential equations is stable (in the sense of Lyapunov). The scientific implication of these results is that the solutions starting near the zero solution for asymptotic stability eventually result to the zero solution in a limit as while solutions starting near the zero solution for Lyapunov stability stay close to the zero solution
