In-situ copper-based metal–organic framework tailored clay synthesis for efficient pharmaceutical removal: Comprehensive adsorption and optimization studies

    No full text
The present study focuses on solvothermal in-situ synthesis of copper-based metal-organic framework (Cu-MOF) supported montmorillonite (MMT) composites (CuMMT) with various Cu-MOF mass ratios (5%, 10%, and 20%) and examine these composites as adsorbents for adsorption of tetracycline (TC) antibiotic. CuMMT composites were characterized by performing FTIR, XRD, BET/N2, SEM, and zeta potential analyses. The impacts of temperature, initial antibiotic concentration, contact time, and solution pH on adsorption were investigated deeply. The pseudo-second-order and Elovich kinetic models were consistent with the obtained kinetic results which proposed chemical interactions. According to the studies, the monolayer Langmuir isotherm model fits the adsorption systems rather well. TC adsorption constituted a spontaneous endothermic reaction. As a result of the adsorption experiments, 10CuMMT composite showed the highest adsorption capacity as 319.57 mg g-1 at a contact time of 240 min, pH 7.32 (natural pH of TC solution), at a temperature of 318 K. To enhance the TC adsorption process, the Box-Behnken experimental design was used. The optimized conditions (contact time = 200 min; solid/liquid ratio = 0.08 g L-1; temperature = 318 K) enhanced TC adsorption capacity to 330.70 mg g-1.https://doi.org/10.1038/s41598-025-03127-zhttps://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40404871http://dx.doi.org/10.1038/s41598-025-03127-zhttps://doaj.org/article/8190d892072746ef9744226ea8c03fc

    No full text
Abstract The measurements of the Higgs boson (H) production cross sections performed by the CMS Collaboration in the four-lepton (4ℓ, ℓ = e, μ) final state at a center-of-mass energy s\sqrt{s} = 13.6 TeV are presented. These measurements are based on data collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC in 2022, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 34.7 fb −1. Cross sections are measured in a fiducial region closely matching the experimental acceptance, both inclusively and differentially, as a function of the transverse momentum and the absolute value of the rapidity of the four-lepton system. The H → ZZ → 4ℓ inclusive fiducial cross section is measured to be 2.890.49+0.53(stat)0.21+0.29(syst){2.89}_{-0.49}^{+0.53}{\left({\text{stat}}\right)}_{-0.21}^{+0.29}\left({\text{syst}}\right) fb, in agreement with the standard model expectation of 3.090.24+0.27{3.09}_{-0.24}^{+0.27} fb.https://doi.org/10.1007/jhep05(2025)079https://dx.doi.org/10.3204/pubdb-2025-03585https://dx.doi.org/10.48550/arxiv.2501.14849https://dx.doi.org/10.3204/pubdb-2025-00573https://dx.doi.org/10.5445/ir/1000188381http://arxiv.org/abs/2501.14849https://doaj.org/article/363343921d5448188d9362a403afce19https://hdl.handle.net/11368/3110400https://doi.org/10.1007/JHEP05(2025)079https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12831/27048https://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/635901https://bib-pubdb1.desy.de/record/622937https://hal.science/hal-05061521v1https://publikationen.bibliothek.kit.edu/1000188381/170976656https://publikationen.bibliothek.kit.edu/1000188381https://doi.org/10.5445/IR/1000188381https://hdl.handle.net/11589/288825https://hdl.handle.net/11384/154988https://hdl.handle.net/11585/1036233https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/JHEP05(2025)079http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:ltu:diva-113988https://hdl.handle.net/2318/210286

Search for a cH signal in the associated production of at least one charm quark with a Higgs boson in the diphoton decay channel in pp collisions at s=13\sqrt{s}=13 TeV

    No full text
A bstract This paper presents the first search for a cH signal sensitive to the coupling of the charm quark (c) to the Higgs boson (H) in the associated production of at least one charm quark with a Higgs boson decaying to two photons. The results are based on a data set of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected with the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb − 1 . Assuming the standard model (SM) rates for all other Higgs boson production processes, the observed (expected) upper limit at 95% confidence level on the cH signal strength is 243 (355) times the SM prediction. Under the same assumption, the observed (expected) allowed interval on the Higgs boson to charm quark coupling modifier, κ c , is |κ c | < 38 . 1 ( |κ c | < 72 . 5) at 95% confidence level.https://doi.org/10.1007/jhep11(2025)060https://dx.doi.org/10.3204/pubdb-2025-05285https://dx.doi.org/10.3929/ethz-c-000791927https://dx.doi.org/10.5445/ir/1000189619https://dx.doi.org/10.48550/arxiv.2503.08797http://arxiv.org/abs/2503.08797https://hdl.handle.net/11368/3121060https://doi.org/10.1007/JHEP11(2025)060https://hdl.handle.net/11384/15953

Conservation of Rural Religious Heritage in the Western Mediterranean Region of Türkiye: Yukarı Kırlı Village

    No full text
Rural religious heritage is an important value for the future of historic villages and for their conservation. The religious heritage in rural areas of Burdur province, located in the Western Mediterranean Region of Türkiye, deserves special attention in this field both for its monuments and for the settlements and landscapes surrounding them. Documentation studies carried out in the rural area of Burdur show that the religious heritage assets and the historic villages in which they are located have mostly conserved their authentic values and identities. However, structural problems, interventions of poor quality, loss of traditional construction knowledge, inability to provide original material, abandonment, neglect, disuse due to the socio-cultural, economic, political and climatic transformations and depopulation are some of the risks faced by this heritage. Within the scope of the study, Yukarı Kırlı Village and its mosque will be discussed. It is a historic Turkmen village on the Taurus Mountains, which has lost its population over the years due to socio-economic changes. In the village, traditional buildings and areas have become out of use due to depopulation. Yukarı Kırlı Village Mosque, which was closed to worship after being damaged in the 1971 earthquake, is, despite its modest dimensions, one of the rare examples with its well conserved earthen masonry system supported by wooden beams and posts, original roof covering and local ornament details. Architectural surveys were carried out with both traditional and advanced methods at the scales of site, building and architectural element and in addition to archival research, an oral history work was conducted with local people. It is aimed to identify and document the rural religious heritage and the historic villages in which they are located, in the selected region with an analytical study and to reveal the conservation issues.https://doi.org/10.4995/heritage2025.2025.19278https://riunet.upv.es/handle/10251/22989

Internal control risk assessment using interval valued spherical fuzzy CRITIC EDAS

    No full text
Internal control is a set of procedures, policies, and processes established within an organization with the aim of reasonably ensuring the accomplishment of the organization’s objectives. As businesses confront a more intricate and ever-changing environment, the importance of reliable methodologies capable of effectively dealing with uncertainties and ambiguities becomes crucial. Given the potential complexity arising from numerous criteria, candidates, and the inherent subjectivity introduced by multiple decision experts participating in the process, evaluating internal control risk can be conceptualized as a problem within fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM). Criteria Importance Through Inter-criteria Correlation (CRITIC) integrated Evaluation based on distance from average solution (EDAS) methodology is developed for addressing internal control risk assessment. The proposed methodology is presented in an interval-valued spherical fuzzy environment for modeling the uncertainty of the decision-making process in a comprehensive manner. Internal control evaluation criteria are obtained from the enterprise risk management framework presented by the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO). The study contributes significantly by prioritizing internal control levels, conducting sensitivity analyses, and providing a comparative analysis with contemporary approaches. The paper structures a comprehensive review of literature, outlines mathematical operations of interval-valued spherical fuzzy sets, details the proposed methodology, and presents application results with theoretical and practical implications. The manuscript concludes by acknowledging limitations and suggesting avenues for future research, offering a valuable resource for professionals and researchers in the field of internal control and audit.https://doi.org/10.1038/s41598-025-07852-3http://dx.doi.org/10.1038/s41598-025-07852-
