Bomyxs Mori Silk Fibroin Fiber Cleaning Methods
Today, there are several scientific directions in the field of creating biological polymer materials, which are engaged in the study of biopolymers and bicomposites based on natural and synthetic polymers, as well as modification of synthetic polymer compositions to accelerate the destruction of their matrices. Among the methods of changing the properties of basic polymers, the most important is polymer modification. Modification of polymers should be understood as a purposeful change of their properties by carrying out chemical reactions to the functional groups present in the polymer or by changing its supramolecular structure. This definition limits the modification of polymers by processes of changing the structure of macromolecules in the polymer block and their phase state. The second component of the definition is very important because the physical heterogeneity of macromolecular compounds affects their properties
Impact and Consequences of Vitamin D Supplementation during Pregnancy: Jordanian Royal Medical Services
It has been hypothesized that taking extra vitamin D while pregnant will protect against unfavorable gestational outcomes. This randomized clinical trial study examined the effects of supplementing with 50,000 IU of vitamin D every two weeks versus expecting mothers who received 400 IU of vitamin D daily on the incidence of gestational diabetes (GDM), gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, preterm labor, vitamin D status at term, and neonatal outcomes. 200 women from Prince Rashid Ben Al-Hasan Military Hospital during October 2022 to January 2023 with gestational age 12-16 weeks and serum 25 hydroxy vitamin D (25 (OH) D ) less than 30 ng/ml randomly categorized in two groups. Group A received 400 IU vitamin D daily and group B 50,000 IU vitamin D every 2 weeks orally until delivery. Maternal and Neonatal outcomes were assessed in two groups. The main results of the current study concluded to 5.9% versus 12.8% respectively, group B had a considerably lower incidence of GDM than group A, and odds ratio (93% Confidence Interval) was 0.42 (0.21-0.85) (P=0.02). At the time of delivery, mothers in group B had mean SD levels of 25 (OH) D that were considerably higher than those in group A (41.1±22.2 versus 25.1±16.4 ng/ml, respectively) (P=0.004). There were no differences in the incidence of preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, preterm labor, and low birth weight between two groups. In comparison to group A, group B had a mean 25 (OH) D level that was considerably higher (34.6±18.6 versus 25.3±17.5 ng/ml). Neonatal anthropometric measurements did not differ considerably from one other. Eventually, , the current study shown that 50,000 IU of vitamin D given every two weeks reduced the prevalence of GDM
The Role of Diet Therapy in the Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are a significant cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Unhealthy eating habits and lifestyle changes have contributed to the increasing incidence of CVDs. Diet therapy is an essential component of the prevention and management of CVDs. A healthy diet can help control risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, obesity, and diabetes, which are major contributors to CVDs. This article reviews the evidence on the effects of various dietary patterns and specific nutrients on cardiovascular health. The findings suggest that a healthy diet, such as the Mediterranean diet, DASH diet, and plant-based diets, can significantly reduce the risk of CVDs. Specific nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and antioxidants also have beneficial effects on cardiovascular health. Overall, diet therapy is a crucial strategy for preventing and managing CVDs
PATHOMORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES IN THE DYNAMICS OF VERTEBRAL SPONDYLESINATION
In the article, out of 140 patients with degenerative diseases of the lumbar vertebrae, treated and examined in the clinic, 33 patients were diagnosed with symptoms of spondylosis based on the results of CT and MRI studies. Patients with lumbar vertebral hernias underwent arcotomy, hemilaminectomy and discectomy. Macropreparations obtained during the operation were subjected to pathomorphological examination. Pathomorphological studies made it possible to identify the causes of changes in the brain, ligamentum flavum and vertebral bodies during the development of the disease
Study of General Psychopathological Conditions in Patients
Before studying the science of medical psychology, students should understand that it is a separate science. Knowing the development of psychiatry and medical psychology as a separate science, solving a number of problems in the medical world, studying the problems of human psyche and their treatment. Medical psychology helps to change the thinking process of students, to make them pay attention to the health of a person, not to his disease, and in this way to make a syndromal and nosological diagnosis in the main pathological and borderline cases, to conduct a survey of the patient, to take patients It is aimed to activate their interests in the acquisition of knowledge, skills and knowledge in the psychoprophylactic approach to the patient person, taking into account the rules of deontology. It is necessary to mention the special place of memory in human mental activity
Anesthetic Technique in Iraqi Women Patients with Hysterectomy
Background: There is a high rate of postoperative pain with a high index in patients undergoing abdominal hysterectomy.
Objective: To determine the role of anesthetic technique for Iraqi patients who are undergoing to hysterectomy.
Patients and methods: This paper presents a cross-sectional study that examined the impact of anesthesia on patients who underwent hysterectomy by Laparoscopic. The study analysed the basic demographic characteristics and outcomes of women aged 35-60 before, during, and after surgery. Data were collected from hospitals in Baghdad, Iraq, between March 16th, 2022, and July 9th, 2023. The study analysed clinical outcomes from 81 current cases involving intraoperative use of two types of anesthesia: spinal (48) and general anesthesia (33). The data was divided into two groups, with the first group comprising 48 patients receiving spinal anesthesia with morphine and the second group receiving general anesthesia.
Results: We diagnosed women's diseases and found that the prevalence of ovarian cancer was 37.3% in patients with general anesthesia, compared to 37.7% in patients with spinal anesthesia. Intraoperative intravenous sufentanil was administered to (40 ± 21) patients undergoing spinal anaesthesia and to (49 ± 21) patients under general anaesthesia. There was no significant difference in Crystalloids administered between the two groups; patients undergoing spinal anaesthesia received (1588 ± 515) mL, while patients under general anaesthesia received (1606 ± 651) mL. Morphine was used by eight patients (16.67%) in the spinal anaesthesia group, compared to only two patients (6%) in the general anaesthesia group. The incidence of ketamine use in patients undergoing spinal anaesthesia was found to be 4.17% (n=2) compared to 3.03% (n=1) in patients receiving general anaesthesia. Albumin was utilised in 12.5% (n=6) of patients receiving spinal anaesthesia; conversely, only one patient in the general anaesthesia group received Albumin.
Conclusion: General anaesthesia was deemed an optimal treatment for female patients undergoing hysterectomy, as those who received this type of anaesthesia experienced a superior standard of postoperative recuperation
Infections Affects On Lower Genital Tract Diseases And Outcomes Of Pregnancy And Misscarriage
One of the main directions in solving the problem of safe motherhood is associated with a decrease in reproductive losses, which are considered as the end result of the influence of social, medical and biological factors on the health of a pregnant woman, the state of the fetus and newborn ().
Treatment of Glaucomatous Optic Atrophy
Glaucomatous atrophy of the optic nerve occurs due to the development of a disease such as glaucoma. In this condition, there is partial or complete destruction of the nerve fibers that transmit visual information from the retina to the brain. All this is fraught with deterioration of vision and even loss.

State of the Peripheral Blood System in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis Depending on Haptoglobin Polymorphism
The role of haptoglobin in the body is not limited to the function of hemoglobin transport. Literature data indicate that the exchange of Hb is closely related to processes occurring in connective tissue. According to our data, Hp 2-2 plays a role in the development of chronic inflammatory reaction (92.6%), the Hp 1-1 type is favorable, and 2-1 is characterized by a rapid course in 55.6% of patients. The aim of our further research was to study laboratory data in RA patients with different haptoglobin phenotypes. As is known, in recent years, the degree of anemia is considered a prognostic indicator of RA and is included in the criteria determining the activity of the disease. According to the literature, the greater the degree of anemia, the worse the prognosis of the disease. In our studies, the average hemoglobin content in the peripheral blood of RA patients was 79.1±1.7 g/L, and the erythrocyte count was 2.8±0.06x10¹²/L, reflecting a moderate degree of anemia. Changes in hemoglobin content and erythrocyte count with different haptoglobin phenotypes are shown in Table 3.5
