Achieving Joint Attention and Understanding of Task Responsibilities in Synchronous Hybrid L2 Classroom Group Work
No full textThis article addresses the need to better understand interactional asymmetries, challenges, and solutions in implementing synchronous hybrid language teaching. We investigate video-recorded peer interactions in a higher education language teaching context in which a student uses a telepresence robot, a remotely moveable videoconferencing tool, to participate in small-group task work in L2 English together with students who are physically located in the language classroom. Drawing on multimodal conversation analysis, we examine how the geographically dispersed peer group achieves, maintains, and repairs their joint attention on task-relevant learning materials as they are accomplishing a task, and how this kind of referential interactional work enables their co-operation as a group. Based on the analysis, we argue that in synchronous hybrid learning there is a need to reflexively adjust interactional practices to secure an intersubjective understanding of learning tasks and their progressivity. The findings also suggest that sensory and interactional asymmetries should be taken into account when developing and implementing synchronous hybrid learning environments that aim at equality of opportunities regardless of the participation mode.Telepresence robot mediated embodied interaction in hybrid language learning environment
Implementasi Manajemen dan Digitalisasi Perpustakaan di Lembaga Pendidikan SMAN 13 Surabaya
Get PDFThis study discusses the implementation of library management and digitalization at SMAN 13 Surabaya in response to the advancement of information technology in education. The library’s digitalization is realized through the application of online cataloging (OPAC), online book borrowing and returning services, and the development of an e-book collection accessible exclusively to students. Additionally, the library organizes literacy programs such as "Read Books for Prizes" and the School Literacy Movement (GLS) to enhance students’ reading interest and digital literacy skills. The research adopts a qualitative method involving observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain valid data from library staff. The findings indicate that a clear organizational structure and collaboration with IT-savvy alumni support efficient and innovative library management. Systematic classification and cataloging facilitate collection searches, while digital services expand information access beyond physical and temporal boundaries. The digitalization of the library at SMAN 13 Surabaya has proven to improve management efficiency, strengthen the culture of digital literacy, and create a modern and inclusive learning environment. However, the limitation of online catalog access, which is restricted to the school environment, poses a challenge for broader digital literacy development, the digitalization of the library at SMAN 13 Surabaya serves as a strategic step in supporting educational transformation towards the digital era
Implementasi Manajemen dan Digitalisasi Perpustakaan di SMA Negeri 13 Surabaya
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pelaksanaan manajemen dan digitalisasi perpustakaan di SMA Negeri 13 Surabaya dalam mendukung literasi serta layanan informasi bagi komunitas sekolah. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan kepala perpustakaan, serta dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan telah memiliki struktur organisasi yang jelas dan sistem operasional yang teratur, meliputi layanan teknis, layanan kepada pemustaka, dan layanan IT. Proses klasifikasi dan katalogisasi dilaksanakan secara teratur dengan menggunakan sistem Klasifikasi Desimal Dewey (DDC) dan aplikasi SLiMS yang terhubung dengan OPAC, sehingga memungkinkan akses katalog secara online. Layanan yang tersedia di perpustakaan mencakup peminjaman, pengembalian, perpanjangan, reservasi, dan penggantian koleksi. Selain itu, program literasi Pojok Baca yang tersebar di gazebo sekolah menyediakan buku fisik dan akses ke e-book melalui barcode scanning, yang membantu menguatkan budaya literasi dalam bentuk digital dan informal di kalangan siswa. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi dan manajemen perpustakaan memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan akses terhadap informasi, efisiensi layanan, dan minat baca di lingkungan sekolah

Get PDFDalam dunia pendidikan kegiatan pembelajaran akan menjadi lebih efektif jika guru menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang tepat. Ketika menggunakan metode pembelajarn yang tepat maka akan memacuh semangat belajar siswa, serta meningkatkan motivasi dan presetasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan utuk menganalisis dampak penerapan metode pembelajaran kolaboratif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa dan mata Pelajaran PAK di SMP Negeri 4 Nubatukan serta mengidentifikasikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan penerapan metode kolaboratif dalam pembelajaran PAK. Masalah yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya nilai rata-rata ujian dan kurangnya partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran yang masi cendrung berpusat pada guru (teacher-centered learning), sehingga siswa kurang terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang gunakan dalam penlitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII-B dengan jumlah peserta didik 30 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan oleh peneliti dan peneliti beperan sebagai observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitia, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode kolaboratif dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII-B SMP Negeri 4 Nubatukan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik (PAK). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa melalui pendekatan pembelajaran kolaboratif ini memungkinkan siswa untuk saling berinteraksi, berbagi pengetahuan, dan pemahaman serta hasil belajar mereka. Melalui metode pembelajaran kolaboratif siswa juga merasa lebih termotivasi dan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran

The Transformational Trends of New Trade Unions’ Activities and Functions in New Uzbekistan
Get PDFThis study examines the transformational trends of trade unions’ activities and functions in the context of New Uzbekistan. The main objective is to analyze how trade unions, as institutions of civil society, adapt to ongoing political, social, and economic reforms while maintaining their role in protecting the socio-economic interests of workers. The study employs a qualitative and analytical approach, drawing on legal frameworks, policy documents, and international experiences of trade union development. The findings reveal that the adoption of the Law “On Trade Unions” (2019) and the recent constitutional reforms have significantly expanded the rights and opportunities of trade unions, strengthening their independence and enhancing their role in social partnership. Furthermore, trade unions in Uzbekistan are increasingly aligning their practices with international labor standards and building regional cooperation, particularly through the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian Countries. In conclusion, the study highlights that New Trade Unions in Uzbekistan are not only organizationally restructured but also functionally redefined to address modern challenges such as globalization, digitalization of work, and labor market transformations. These changes indicate that trade unions are becoming an important factor in building a democratic society and ensuring social justice in New Uzbekistan

This article examines the integration of linguistic and methodological disciplines within the framework of linguodidactic training, emphasizing their combined influence on the development of professional competence. Such competence encompasses linguistic mastery, methodological skill, and communicative ability, all of which are essential for effective language teaching. Drawing upon the principles of an interdisciplinary approach, the paper highlights the shortcomings of the traditional separation between language theory and pedagogy, argues for a more unified curriculum, and proposes strategies for achieving meaningful integration. The discussion is supported by insights from both theoretical scholarship and practical teacher education experience
Inkludering i praktiken : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om anpassningar i skolans lärmiljö för elever med neuropsykiatriska svårigheter
No full textStudiens syfte var att undersöka lärares erfarenheter av att inkludera elever med NPF, samt hur de upplever att skolans pedagogiska, sociala och fysiska lärmiljöer är utformade för att stödja elever med NPF. Metoden som användes var en kvalitativ forskningsansats där fem lärare intervjuades med semistrukturerade intervjuer, varpå en tematisk analys utfördes. Resultaten visade att inkludering är ett komplext område där flera faktorer samverkar, såsom lärarens kompetens, skolans organisatoriska förutsättningar och elevernas individuella behov. Studien visade att inkludering av elever med NPF förutsätter ett integrerat arbete med pedagogiska, sociala och fysiska anpassningar. Tydliga strukturer, tillitsfulla relationer och flexibilitet i undervisningen var centrala framgångsfaktorer, medan bristande kompetens, resursbrist och sociala svårigheter utgjorde hinder. Kollegialt samarbete och en differentierad undervisning lyftes fram som viktiga möjligheter för att främja en inkluderande skola. Slutsatser som kan dras är att en fungerande inkludering av elever med NPF förutsätter en samordnad insats på skolans alla nivåer, där pedagogisk flexibilitet, social trygghet, fysisk anpassning och ett starkt strukturellt stöd samverkar. Utöver det går det att dra slutsatsen att ett dubbelt fokus behövs, på både generella och individuella insatser. Studien är relevant då den belyser konkreta sätt att utveckla inkluderande lärmiljöer för elever med NPF inom den reguljära skolan. Genom att lyfta fram lärarnas erfarenheter bidrar studien till en ökad förståelse för hur pedagogisk, social och fysisk anpassning kan främja delaktighet och lärande. Resultaten kan användas för att stödja skolutveckling, stärka lärares kompetens och bidra till arbetet med att skapa en skola för alla.
How do teachers use digital learning resources to differentiate mathematics teaching?
No full textI denna studie undersöks hur matematiklärare i årskurs 4–6 använder digitala lärresurser för att differentiera undervisningen. Genom intervjuer med lärare och en tematisk analys utifrån Tomlinsons (2014) modell presenteras resultatet i relation till tre aspekter: innehåll, process och produkt. Studien visar att digitala lärresurser används för att anpassa undervisningen till elevers olika behov och förutsättningar, bland annat genom resurser som NOMP, Magma och Bingel. Lärarna beskriver att digitala verktyg möjliggör variation i både lärandeprocess och sättet eleverna får visa sina kunskaper. Samtidigt framkommer att det finns både möjligheter, till exempel ökad motivation och flexibilitet, och utmaningar i form av tekniska hinder och begränsningar i tid. Studien drar slutsatsen att digitala lärresurser kan vara ett stöd i arbetet med differentiering, men att detta förutsätter rätt kompetens och fungerande strukturer
