This study contributed to assessing the quality of life for all patients with osteoarthritis in the Knee before and after surgery under Health Quality Questionnaire SF-36. The clinical results of the patients were recorded, which showed that patients in the age group between (60 - 70) years were 50% of the total rate of patients, followed by patients in the age group between (50 - 59) years, which was 30%. Female patients had a higher rate of 70% than Males at a rate of 30%. The rates of body mass index > 30 included 44 patients, the body mass index between (25 - 29.9) was 20 patients, and the body mass index was 16 patients. This study showed the rates of patients’ quality of life assessment before and after surgery, the most prominent of which was the aspect Physical was 32.51±12.85 before surgery and 65.46±10.09 after surgery, and mental health was 51.92±8.52 before surgery and 78.63±10.35 after surgery. This study indicated that knee osteoarthritis negatively affects daily activities and well-being, which contributes to improving the quality of patients’ general health
Study of the Heavy Elements of the Al-Kharazi Water Course Inside the University of Mosul
This study investigated the levels of heavy metal contaminants (copper, zinc, cadmium, and lead) in water samples collected from the Al-Kharazi watercourse traversing the University of Mosul campus over four seasons in 2022 and 2023. Water samples were taken from five stations along the watercourse and analyzed for dissolved and particulate phases of the heavy metals. The heavy metals have been extracted using a standard method and their concentrations in river water and sediments have been estimated using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The results showed mean concentrations of 0.0527 ± 0.0131 mg/L for cadmium, 0.0178 ± 0.0051 mg/L for lead, 0.0145 ± 0.002 mg/L for dissolved copper, and 3.232 ± 0.635 mg/L for zinc across all seasons. Substantial discrepancies were noted among seasons and across various sampling sites. At specific sites and during certain seasons, the levels of cadmium and lead were discovered to surpass the drinking water guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO). The research shows that there is a significant amount of heavy metal pollution, particularly cadmium, in the Al-Kharazi watercourse. This contamination is most likely caused by human activities in the university area. It is advisable to regularly assess and apply solutions to mitigate the risks of heavy metal contamination to both the aquatic environment and human health

Topical Anaesthesia for Cataract Surgery
The purpose of this study is to determine if topical anesthetic with 0.5% propacaine hydrochloride is effective in reducing pain during phacoemulsification surgery. At each of the three points of the procedure, the patients' levels of discomfort were verbalized using a 5-point scale. For each patient's age, gender, cataract type, and surgical stage, we compared overall pain levels with pain scores from each surgical stage. The white mature cataract (WMC) and corticonuclear plus posterior subcapsular cataract (CN + PSC) groups had substantially higher mean overall pain levels and mean stage 2 pain scores compared to the PSC-only (PSC) group (P < 0.05). In summary. Even with topical anesthetic, phacoemulsification could cause some discomfort. Cataract type and surgical stage determine the level of discomfort
