Analysis of Total Quality Management in Improving Services to the Community at the South Minahasa Regent's Office
Get PDFTotal Quality Management (TQM) is a modern management concept that seeks to respond appropriately to every change, whether driven by external or internal forces. The presence of Total Quality Management focuses more on the institution's goal of serving the needs of the community by implementing high quality services. In this research, the aim of this research is first to determine the implementation of Total Quality Management in the South Minahasa regent's office, and the service system for the regent's office employees. South Minahasa towards society. Second, to find out the service system for South Minahasa Regent's office employees in agencies (Integrated Services) towards the community. The results of the research show that investment developments in South Minahasa Regency directly influence the economic development of South Minahasa Regency. Investment development certainly needs to be supported by comfort when investing. As the front guard in implementing investment in Manado City, the Department of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) makes a major contribution in creating a conducive investment climate, especially in the services provided. DPMPTSP simplifies the investment process in South Minahasa Regency, where all permits are managed by one agency and are also carried out using an online process, starting from the queuing system, permit creation process, status checking to permit issuance. In 2021 DPMPTSP served 2,649 applicants, with a total of 97.1% issued. The DPMPTSP Strategic Plan reveals several things that are problems in service, including a lack of public knowledge regarding policy changes related to business licensing, a lack of facilities and infrastructure in providing services to the community, not yet optimal use of online licensing in the community and not yet optimal public complaint services. This problem must of course be resolved in order to simplify the desired investment process

Adsorption Study of Highly Selective Adsorbents Obtained From Navbahor Bentonite
Get PDFSilicon adsorbents (YuKA) from navbahor bentonite of Navoi region was carried out with the participation of various organic compounds (templates) according to the "Zol-gel" technology. For this, crystals were formed by adding hexamethylenediamine and alcohol fraction as a template to liquid glass (29% , 9% , 62% ) After the completion of the crystallization process, the solid phase was separated from the solution using a Buchner funnel and dried in a SShU-m1 drying cabinet to 120°C and fired at 550°C in a SNOL 30/1100 muffle furnace for 8 hours to remove the template . Navbahor bentonite was crystallized for 8-9 hours and the elements and oxides content (mass, %) of Yuka samples were analyzed by X-ray fluorescence and Bentonite's derivatographic curves

Social Environment and its Effects on the Implementation of the Curriculum for History in Secondary Schools in Mezam Division, North West Region of Cameroon
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to investigate social environment and its effects on the implementation of the curriculum for History in secondary schools in Mezam Division of the Northwest Region of Cameroon. Three research questions and three hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. More specifically, the study sought to ascertain the extent to which, the social environment of a school affect curriculum implementation in history. The study employed the survey research design with a mix of both quantitative and qualitative techniques. Quantitative data were collected through a questionnaire while a semi-structured interview guide was used to collect qualitative data from a sample of 305 respondents. Questionnaires were completed by 300 history teachers and students while 05 history pedagogic inspectors were interviewed. The purposive sampling technique was used to select the sample of the study. Data were analyzed with the aid of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23.0 for Windows. Descriptive statistics such as simple percentages, mean scores and standard deviation, and inferential statistics notably the Pearson Correlation test was used to analyze quantitative data while qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis with the support of ATLAS.ti software version 8.0. The findings revealed that the social environment (r=0.895, p<0.05), have a positive correlation with curriculum implementation. These findings are in consonance with the postulates of scholars such as Cheryan et al (2014), Alvior (2014), and Maxwell et al (2017). Based on the findings, recommendations were made to students, teachers, and school authorities and to optimize the use of social environmental factors to enhance the implementation of the curriculum of history and other subjects in secondary schools in Mezam and beyond. Suggestions for further studies were made

Development of Education in Nigeria and the Ways Forward
Get PDFThis paper discussed the hydra-headed challenges faced by school administration and development at all levels of education in both private and public schools in Nigeria. Secondary data was used to support the points raised in the paper using an interpretive research paradigm by sourcing data from print and online resources. Many challenges are working against the smooth development and administration of schools in Nigeria. Some of the problems include a lack of data, inadequate funding, political instability, brain drain, and an unstable academic calendar among others. The study identified students, parents, school administrators, and the government as the causative agents of these challenges. These problems are not peculiar to Nigeria alone, most developed and developing countries face similar challenges. The finding from this research is that these problems are jointly caused by all stakeholders contrary to the general belief that they are caused by bad governance only. To solve these problems, this article recommends: that the national policy on education should be effectively implemented, an increase in the education budget to 26%, provision of adequate infrastructure, an effective data bank policy for schools to aid planning, employment of only licensed teachers and provision of alternative programs for school dropout
