Using Geospatial Technologies to Separate Soil Units and Predict Some of Their Characteristics in Basra Governorate (Indices)
This study was conducted to classify the soils of eastern Basra Governorate, southern Iraq, within the administrative borders of Abu Al-Khasib District extending south to Al-Faw District, using remote sensing techniques and geographic information systems. The soil units were separated by adopting remote sensing technology through the use of satellite image from Landsat8, the TIRS - OLI sensor (The Operational Land Imager), and spectral indices with field observations. A map of the soil units was prepared using the GIS program. Eight locations of soil pedons were identified, and they were divided The study area is divided into two paths, and each path contains four typical pedons within the boundaries of the study area as follows:
1 - First stripe: represents the river levees unit within pedons 1, 3, 5 and 7.
2 - Second stripe: represents the river basin unit within pedons 2, 4, 6 and 8.
The results of Indices showed a variation in their values between all the pedons through which spatial variation in surface soil characteristics can be distinguished. The values of NDVI ranged between < 0 – 0.79, < 0 – 1.64 for BSI, and between < 0 – 0.408 for SAVI. The spectral indices NDVI and SAVI gave results that match the ground facts present on the ground, represented by vegetation, while the bare soil index BSI gave reflectivity values similar to barren lands. The lands of the study area were characterized by a lack of vegetation, especially in the low-lying areas of the river plains, while the areas of natural vegetation and the parts close to the river levees were characterized by a medium to high vegetation cover, and these results are consistent with the values of the NDVI and SAVI spectral indices
The Effect of Local Fertilizers, Mineral Fertilizers and Biopreparations on the Agrophysical Properties of the Soil and the Phosphorus and Potassium Fractions in the Cultivation of White Cabbage
In this article, a description of cabbage with a delicious taste, rich in vitamins and biological substances, which is currently grown as a vegetable crop in the Republic of Uzbekistan. White cabbage is consumed fresh and processed throughout the year. It has dietary and therapeutic properties. It is consumed by people with heart disease, obese people, and those who are sick. Its juice is used in the treatment of inflammation of the stomach. and it is stated that it has a good effect on cabbage yield and product quality when it is fed with the method of fertilization Biopreparation 30 l/hа + N-150, Р-150, K-100 in its cultivation
Effects of Irrigation Regimes on Stem Height and Leaf Number of Replanted Sunflower Varieties
In the article, the pre-irrigation soil moisture of sunflower varieties “Jahongir” and “Yangi zamon” repeatedly planted in Ulughnor district of Andijan region in 2020-2022 in the conditions of long-irrigated grassland soils of Central Fergana is 70-70-60, 70-75-65 and 70-80-70% were studied. It is reported that the most positive results regarding stem height and number of leaves of sunflower varieties were obtained when the soil moisture before irrigation was 70-75-65% relative to the marginal field moisture capacity
Analyzing Resource Allocation and Management in the Uzbekistan Hotel Industry Within the Context of Cloud, Distributed, and Parallel Systems
The Uzbekistan hotel industry is poised for significant growth and evolution, with a particular emphasis on resource allocation and management within the context of cloud, distributed, and parallel systems. This study investigates the current landscape of resource allocation and management practices in Uzbekistan's hotel industry, highlighting the integration of modern technological systems and its impact on operational efficiency and guest experiences. Our findings reveal the profound influence of cloud-based solutions on pricing strategies, room availability, and inventory control, leading to enhanced operational efficiency. Additionally, parallel processing systems have minimized guest wait times during check-in/check-out processes, enriching the overall guest experience. Distributed systems centralize essential functions while allowing adaptability to local market conditions, facilitating standardized service quality and regional responsiveness. As the industry anticipates substantial growth, challenges emerge in maintaining service standards across a diverse portfolio of establishments. Collaborative efforts among industry stakeholders, rigorous standards, employee training, and technological innovation are imperative to ensure quality amidst rapid expansion. The Uzbekistan hotel industry's future holds promise, as it diversifies to cater to a broader audience and contributes to the nation's tourism sector. Future research directions include evaluating specific technological implementations, analyzing guest feedback, and assessing the economic impact of advancements. By addressing these areas, the industry can continue to thrive and provide exceptional experiences to travelers, further enhancing Uzbekistan's position in the global tourism landscape
Studying the Procedure and Norms of Irrigation White Cabbage Planted in the Early Season
the article presents valuable information about the procedure and norms of watering white cabbage planted in the early season with a deep scientific analysis
Nematode Fauna of Annual Wild Plants
In this scientific-research work, the nematode fauna of annual wild grasses growing in the biocenoses of the Karatepa mountain massif was studied. As a result of the research, in the biocenoses of the Karatepa mountain massif, Carthamus oxyasanthus Bieb, Strigosella tursestanica Litv., Capsella bursa-pastoris (L.) Medic., Bromus L., Ranunculus arvensis L. plants and 58 species of nematodes in their rhizosphere soil was determined. The identified species consisted of representatives of two classes (Adenophorea, Secernentea), 4 subclasses (Enoplia, Chromadoria, Rhabditida, Diplogastria) and 6 families (Dorylaimida, Mononchida, Monhysterida, Araeolaimida, Rhabditida, Tylenchida). The identified nematodes were divided into groups of bacteriotrophs, polytrophs, predatory nematodes, mycohelminths and parasitic nematodes according to their nutrition and ecological characteristics. Parasitic nematodes, in turn, are divided into ectoparasites, those that feed on the root epidermis, migratory and sedentary endoparasites. There are many species found in all regions of the Karatepa mountain massif Species of the genera Ditylenchus, Pratylenchus, Aphelenchoides (Ditylenchus intermedus, D. dipsaci, Pratylenchus vulnus, P. pratensis, P. thornei, Aphelenchoides parietinus) with a large number of individuals were recorded in vegetative parts of plants
Effect of Rapid Desiccation with Ethanol Immersion on Viability and Vigor of Some Rice Seeds (Oryza sativa L.)
The availability of quality seeds is important in crop cultivation, so quality seeds must be available when farmers need them. Quality seeds must be able to be stored for a long time. Rapid aging through soaking with 95% ethanol within 5 minutes, can predict the shelf life of seeds. Rice seeds that were treated with rapid soaking were Inpari 45 (V1), Sunggal (V2), Memberamo (V3) and Ciherang (V4) varieties. From the results of the analysis of variance, the observation parameters of Germination Power (DB), Maximum Growth Potential (PTM) and Keserempakan Tumbuh (KST) were significantly different (1%). Of the four varieties, after the seeds were soaked in 95% ethanol for 5 minutes DB, PTM and KST decreased very drastically. The order of varieties based on their seed viability and vigor levels, from high to low, are Inpari 45 (V1), Memberamo (V3) Sunggal (V2) and Ciherang (V4). Inpari 45 (V1) has the highest germination rate (DB) of 39%, while Ciherang (V4) has the lowest germination rate (DB) of 15.67%. These results suggest that the Inpari 45 (V1) variety can be stored longer than the other three varieties. Viability and vigor of seeds are not only controlled by environmental factors but also influenced by genetic factors
