Patterns of Entering New Words into the System of Word Forming Nests of the Russian Language (on the Material of Network Texts)

    Get PDF
The word-forming system of the Russian language is a complex structure that undergoes various changes. The derivative system of the language does not develop without the development of the vocabulary of the language, without the addition of new words. Modern Russian is a living system, where all new words that add to the lexical system take their place in the word-forming system of the language. As you know, there are several ways of formation of new words in the language: suffixal, prefixal, prefixe-suffix, substantiation (the transition of a word from one part of speech to another) etc. These are the most productive ways of word formation. However, there are other ways of word formation in the language, through which the vocabulary of the language is actively added

The article explores the pragmatic features of the verbalization of the husband-wife dichotomy in a diachronic aspect. It is based on the linguistic analysis of historical data and combines linguistic, cultural and pragmatic research methods. The purpose of the article is to analyze the evolution of the ways of expressing and using language in relation to the male and female in the Russian language over time, to identify changes in socio-cultural perceptions and roles of husbands and wives. The article focuses on new trends in the verbalization of the husband-wife dichotomy, which reflect changes in modern society and the desire for equality, as well as on the pragmatic features of the use of these constructions. The study emphasizes the importance of taking into account the socio-cultural context and pragmatic factors in the analysis and interpretation of gender constructions. Particular attention is paid to changes in the use of gender-oriented constructions in the socio-cultural context, as well as what changes in social values and stereotypes about gender are reflected in the verbalization of husband-wife. This includes an analysis of the emergence of new forms of gender designation, which offer more flexible and neutral options that correspond to modern ideas about gender identity and equality. It is also worth noting that the article examines the pragmatic semantics of gender constructions, highlights contextual factors affecting the interpretation and use of these constructions, such as social status, degree of intimacy, cultural norms and other factors. This article is an important contribution to the study of the verbalization of the husband-wife dichotomy in a diachronic aspect. It allows us to see the evolution and changes in the use of appropriate language constructions over time and emphasizes the need to take into account the socio-cultural context and pragmatic factors in the study of this problem

Unraveling the Web of Power and Corruption: A Crime Fiction Analysis of Nelson DeMille's The General's Daughter

    Get PDF
In "The General's Daughter," Nelson DeMille masterfully weaves a complex narrative that probes the darker aspects of human nature, exploring the intricate relationships between power, corruption, and violence. By analyzing the novel's plot, characters, and themes, this study examines how DeMille employs crime fiction conventions to craft a gripping and thought-provoking tale that challenges readers' perceptions of the military and its institutions. This analysis reveals how DeMille skillfully employs the tropes of crime fiction, including the amateur detective, the isolated setting, and the enigmatic victim, to create a sense of tension and suspense that propels the reader through the narrative. Furthermore, this study highlights how DeMille's use of multiple narrative voices, particularly those of the protagonist, John Corey, and his partner, Kate Mayfield, creates a sense of intimacy and immediacy that draws the reader into the investigation. Through closely reading the novel's themes, this study also explores how DeMille critiques the militarized culture and its tendency to perpetuate a culture of silence and secrecy. By examining how DeMille portrays the relationships between characters, particularly those between men and women, this analysis reveals how the novel challenges traditional notions of masculinity and femininity, exposing the complexities and contradictions inherent in these constructs. Ultimately, this study demonstrates how "The General's Daughter" stands as a model of crime fiction that entertains and engages readers in critically examining the social and cultural forces that shape our world. By exploring how DeMille employs crime fiction conventions to craft a thrilling and thought-provoking narrative, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the genre's power to influence our perceptions of reality and our knowledge of human nature

The oral cavity is part of the gastrointestinal tract. The oral cavity as well as the mucous membrane of the digestive tract have a morphofunctional similarity. The close connection of these sections is achieved by means of anatomical, physiological, humoral communications. On the mucous membrane of the oral cavity are located receptors that affect the secretory and motor activity of the gastrointestinal tract, serving as a source of strong reflexes

Патогенетическая Значимость Нарушения Баланса Цитокинов В Изучении Особенностей Развития И Течения Недифференцированного Артрита На Этапах Развития Ревматоидного Артрита

    Get PDF

    Get PDF
This study investigated the levels of heavy metal contaminants (copper, zinc, cadmium, and lead) in water samples collected from the Al-Kharazi watercourse traversing the University of Mosul campus over four seasons in 2022 and 2023. Water samples were taken from five stations along the watercourse and analyzed for dissolved and particulate phases of the heavy metals. The heavy metals have been extracted using a standard method and their concentrations in river water and sediments have been estimated using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The results showed mean concentrations of 0.0527 ± 0.0131 mg/L for cadmium, 0.0178 ± 0.0051 mg/L for lead, 0.0145 ± 0.002 mg/L for dissolved copper, and 3.232 ± 0.635 mg/L for zinc across all seasons. Substantial discrepancies were noted among seasons and across various sampling sites. At specific sites and during certain seasons, the levels of cadmium and lead were discovered to surpass the drinking water guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO). The research shows that there is a significant amount of heavy metal pollution, particularly cadmium, in the Al-Kharazi watercourse. This contamination is most likely caused by human activities in the university area. It is advisable to regularly assess and apply solutions to mitigate the risks of heavy metal contamination to both the aquatic environment and human health

Crucial Insights: Post-Op Spinal Infections in Lumbar Fusion

    Get PDF
Postoperative spinal infections following lumbar fusion with posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) are a concerning complication, particularly in cases of degenerative spinal disease. However, factors contributing to infection risk remain unclear. This retrospective study analyzed data from 124 adults who underwent instrumented fusion for degenerative spinal conditions between 2015 and 2020. Multivariate proportional hazards regression identified risk factors associated with surgical site infections (SSI). Results revealed a 16.9% incidence of SSI, with 92.4% of cases showing positive microbiological cultures. Prolonged hospital stay, prior surgeries, advanced age, diabetes, and obesity were correlated with infection risk. Notably, 95% of infected patients were successfully treated with surgical intervention or antibiotics without hardware removal. This underscores the importance of early identification and intervention in managing postoperative spinal infections, mitigating the need for hardware removal and improving patient outcomes
