    No full text
Family life in Islamic society is an intricate system underpinned by divinely ordained responsibilities, which aim to promote harmony, justice, and collective well-being. Among these responsibilities, women play a pivotal role as caretakers, educators, and contributors to the moral and spiritual development of the family. This study explores the evolution of these responsibilities by analyzing the foundational principles derived from the Quran, Hadith, and classical Islamic jurisprudence. It examines how these roles were shaped by socio-cultural factors in different eras of Islamic civilization. The research delves into the wisdom behind these responsibilities, emphasizing their alignment with the inherent capabilities of women and the greater good of society. Furthermore, it addresses modern challenges, such as gender equity debates and the impact of globalization on traditional family structures. The study evaluates the adaptability of Islamic teachings to contemporary contexts, offering a balanced perspective that integrates timeless values with evolving social needs. This scholarly investigation aims to bridge the gap between traditional Islamic thought and modern sociological paradigms, highlighting the importance of women’s roles in maintaining societal balance. By focusing on the intersection of spirituality, morality, and social ethics, this research provides an insightful discourse on the significance of family life in Islam

میثاق مدینہ کے غیر مسلموں کے سماجی معاملات پر اثرات: پاکستانی تناظر میں تجزیاتی مطالعہ: IMPACT OF MADINA CHARTER ON SOCIAL AFFAIRS OF NON-MUSLIMS: AN ANALYTICAL STUDY IN PAKISTANI CONTEXT

    No full text
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) exemplified excellence in all aspects of life, including governance. As the ruler of Madina, he established a state based on socio-political autonomy, securing its development and defense through agreements, most notably the Charter of Madina (Methāq-e-Madina). This charter granted rights and protections to all citizens, including non-Muslims, particularly Jewish tribes, fostering social stability. In Pakistan, non-Muslims often face marginalization, highlighting the need for equal citizenship, as ensured by both the Charter of Madina and Pakistan’s constitution. This study employs an analytical approach to explore how the principles of the Madina Charter can enhance social inclusion in Pakistan

ENFORCEMENT OF ARBITRAL AWARDS AND MEDIATION SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS: NAVIGATING LEGAL AND PRACTICAL CHALLENGES

This paper examines the enforcement of arbitral awards and mediation settlement agreements in international commercial dispute resolution, focusing on the legal frameworks established by the New York Convention (1958) and the Singapore Convention on Mediation (2018). While both instruments aim to promote certainty, finality, and party autonomy by facilitating cross-border enforceability, significant legal and practical challenges persist. The New York Convention has enabled widespread recognition of arbitral awards, yet enforcement is often complicated by public policy exceptions, due process claims, and issues involving sovereign immunity. Similarly, the Singapore Convention introduces a uniform enforcement mechanism for international mediated settlements but faces limitations due to uneven ratification, optional reservations by states, and varying interpretations of key provisions. Through a qualitative analysis of doctrinal literature, case law, and institutional commentary, this paper identifies recurring enforcement barriers, including inconsistent judicial interpretation, multi-jurisdictional conflicts, and challenges in locating or attaching assets across borders. The study emphasizes the critical role of national courts as enforcers of international obligations, highlighting the need for judicial training and legal harmonization. It also outlines best practices for legal practitioners, such as careful clause drafting, strategic seat selection, and early asset preservation measures. Ultimately, the paper argues that while international conventions provide a strong foundation for enforceability, their full potential depends on effective domestic implementation and global cooperation. Strengthening institutional capacities and fostering a culture of good faith compliance will be key to ensuring that arbitral awards and mediated settlements are treated as reliable and enforceable outcomes in international commerce

BEYOND THE TEXTBOOK: A REFLECTIVE JOURNEY ON USING EXPERIMENTAL PEDAGOGY FOR TEACHING THE CONCEPT OF CHEMICAL EQUILIBRIUM IN THE PAKISTANI CONTEXT

This qualitative study explores the impact of a teacher development workshop on the use of experiments to teach the challenging concept of chemical equilibrium in resource-constrained Pakistani classrooms. Grounded in a constructivist framework, the two-day workshop equipped 28 secondary chemistry teachers from diverse regions with hands-on strategies, including simple demonstrations, worksheets, and simulations for illustrating Le Chatelier\u27s principle. One-year post-intervention, 23 teachers (82% of participants) were interviewed to assess implementation. The findings show a high adoption rate, with 78% of respondents successfully integrating these experiential methods. Teachers reported a profound transformation in classroom dynamics: student engagement and curiosity increased markedly as abstract concepts became visually tangible through activities like colour-change experiments. This shift positioned students as active investigators and co-learners, improving conceptual understanding and academic performance. However, the implementation journey was significantly challenged by systemic barriers, primarily severe resource scarcity, time constraints due to a crowded curriculum, and large class sizes. Teachers demonstrated notable resilience and agency in adapting the strategies to navigate these constraints. The study concludes that targeted professional development can catalyse meaningful pedagogical change even in difficult contexts. It recommends systemic support through continuous teacher training, provision of standardized low-cost laboratory kits, and alignment of curriculum and assessment with inquiry-based learning to sustain a culture of experiential, dialogic science education

This research paper, titled "The Scholarly Role of the Prophet Muhammad\u27sﷺ In-Law Brothers in the Narration of Hadith / A Review of the Academic Activities of In-Law Brothers," investigates the significant contributions of the male siblings of the Mothers of the Believers (Ummahat al-Mu\u27minin) to Islamic scholarship, particularly in the field of Hadith transmission. The study begins by defining the different categories of these brothers—full (Ḥaqīqī), paternal half (ʿAlātī), and maternal half (Akhyāfī)—establishing their specific familial relationships to the Prophet ﷺ. It then proceeds to provide a detailed examination of the religious and scholarly activities of key figures among them, such as Abdullah ibn Zamaʿah, Abdur Rahman ibn Abi Bakr, Abdullah ibn Umar, and Amir Muʿawiyah, drawing evidence from primary sources like Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim The findings reveal that a considerable number of these in-law brothers were prominent Companions (Sahabah) and Successors (Tabi\u27in), who played vital roles in the preservation and dissemination of Prophetic traditions, jurisprudence (Fiqh), and Islamic leadership. The study concludes by offering recommendations to integrate this knowledge into educational curricula and public discourse to enhance understanding of the Prophet\u27s ﷺ family and their invaluable services to Islam

The concept of divine blessings, known in Arabic as "انعمت علیھم," is a core belief in Islam that highlights the mercy and grace of Allah towards his believers. This concept encompasses various aspects of life, including physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being, as well as material and intangible possessions. A detailed study of the concept of Anʿamta ʿalayhim reveals the profound depth of Allah\u27s blessings upon his followers. These blessings can manifest in countless forms, such as good health, financial stability, loving relationships, and spiritual guidance. They are not limited to material possessions but also include intangible gifts like peace of mind, contentment, and inner strength. The Quran emphasizes the importance of recognizing and being grateful for these blessings, as it is through gratitude that believers can draw closer to Allah and strengthen their faith. In an applied study of Anʿamta ʿalayhim, researchers have found that practicing gratitude for divine blessings can have profound effects on one\u27s overall well-being. Studies have shown that individuals who regularly express gratitude for the blessings in their lives are generally happier, more optimistic, and better equipped to cope with life\u27s challenges. This is because gratitude promotes a positive mindset, fosters resilience, and cultivates a sense of abundance and fulfillment
