Brand Hate as a Mediator: The Study of Brand Image and Brand Relationship Quality in Virtual Brand Communities
The goal of this study is to look at the relationship between the independent variable brand image, mediated by brand hate, and the dependent variable of brand relationship quality (BRQ) in a virtual brand community. This study adopts a quantitative design using the random stratified sampling method to select 340 Xiaomi cell phone users in China to fill out a questionnaire to collect empirical collection and analyze the interrelationships between the constructs based on PLS-SEM. The results show that of the three dimensions of brand image (functional, symbolic and experiential) in relation to BRQ, only symbolic image has a non-significant relationship with BRQ. Brand hate played a significant mediating role in the relationship between brand image and BRQ. The theoretical and practical contributions are explained for insight enhancement toward the variables involved and further support existing literature. Brand image composition and brand hate composition are closely related to BRQ. In particular, this study aims to determine the factors that affect BRQ in the virtual brand community (VBC) according to the VBC characteristics. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the maintenance of brand image, reduce brand hate, and improve the BRQ in the cell phone VBC
Social Capital and Management Synergies: Exploring Transmigrant Communities' Development in Halmahera Island
This study explores how social capital is formed and utilized in transmigrant communities on Halmahera Island, Indonesia, and examines the role of management synergies in enhancing community resilience and sustainable development. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and participant observation. The findings reveal that bonding social capital within ethnic groups fosters trust and mutual support, though it can limit interaction with local communities. Bridging social capital, while less developed, is crucial for cross-group cooperation. Additionally, management synergies—through coordinated efforts among community leaders, local governments, and NGOs—enhance resource mobilization and the implementation of development projects. Leadership plays a key role in these synergies, facilitating collaboration and inclusive decision-making. The study highlights the mutually reinforcing interaction between social capital and management synergies, which contributes to the long-term sustainability of transmigrant communities
The Digital Shift: Impact of Banking and Payment Systems on Customer Experience in India
This research examines the transformative effects of digital banking and payment systems on customer experience in India, focusing on the impact of consumer awareness, attitudes, perceived risks, and demographic factors on digital payment behaviours. The findings reveal that positive consumer attitudes significantly drive the usage and acceptance of digital payment systems, with 87.2% of consumers actively engaging with these technologies. However, perceived risks remain a substantial barrier to broader adoption. The study underscores the necessity for targeted education and communication strategies aimed at mitigating security concerns and building consumer confidence. It highlights that younger and more educated demographics are more open to adopting digital payments, suggesting that outreach should be customized to effectively reach diverse groups. Additionally, the integration of Blockchain technology is recommended to enhance security, transparency, and efficiency, further fostering consumer trust. As the financial industry increasingly embraces sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly practices—such as reducing paper usage—can resonate with the 78.3% of users who prioritize convenience and environmental responsibility. Overall, while the digital transition in banking offers significant opportunities to enhance customer experience, increasing awareness and trust is vital for the successful implementation of digital payment systems in daily transaction
Family Resilience Management in Educating Children in the Digital Age: A Phenomenological Study of Families in Indonesia
The transformation of society in the information age is characterized by advances in digital technology, which is a challenge for parents in family parenting patterns. This research aims to find patterns of family resilience in family parenting in the Digital era, is a phenomenological research on Javanese families in Yogyakarta. This research uses a qualitative research method of phenomenological study. The subjects in the study were determined through purposive sampling, namely 5 families in Yogyakarta City who were determined according to the characteristics. Data collection used in-depth interviews and observations, while data analysis was through Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. The results of this study are as follows: 1) problems faced by families in parenting in the Digital Age, including a) Interaction and communication between parents and children are less intense, b) Relationships between parents and children are less open, c) children quickly follow trends on social media. 2) Parenting strategies in Javanese families in the digital era through a) parents as role models through giving examples in increasing spirituality and positive habituation, b) parents need to have responsive digital skills. 3) Family resilience patterns in parenting in the digital era that need to be built by a) developing life optimism based on Javanese values, such as rukun, ewuh pekewuh, lembah manah, nrimo ing pandum, pangerten, andhap ashor, tepo sliro. b) Building a humanistic dialogue, respecting each other, listening and responding to each other, and making comfortable, not depressed and afraid in the process—this is a process that can be developed in families in the digital era. c) democratic-contextual: in facing challenges and crises in the family, parents also need to develop a democratic parenting style that suits the needs of each child. d) democratic-contextual
Socio-Economic Assessment of Wind and Tidal Energy in Maritime Regions: Advancing SDG 7 Through Renewable Energy Development
This study evaluates the comparative socio-economic impacts of wind and tidal energy in maritime regions, specifically examining their contribution to achieving SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) through job creation, economic benefits, and sustainable energy production. The research employs sustainable energy transition theories and socio-economic impact assessment models, incorporating frameworks for renewable energy development in coastal regions and SDG implementation strategies. A mixed-methods approach combines quantitative analysis of economic indicators (employment, revenue, tariffs) with qualitative assessment of stakeholder perspectives. Data collection included document analysis, stakeholder interviews, and comparative case studies of wind and tidal energy projects. Analysis reveals wind energy's superior immediate economic viability, generating 3.68 jobs/MW during construction with competitive tariffs (7-8 cents/kWh). Tidal energy demonstrates higher job intensity (9 jobs/MW) but faces higher operational costs. Both technologies show distinct environmental impacts and stakeholder acceptance patterns, contributing differently to SDG 7 targets through clean energy provision and economic development. The findings provide evidence-based guidance for policymakers implementing SDG 7 in maritime regions, offering insights into optimizing renewable energy development for both economic benefit and sustainable development goals. AI-Powered Chatbots in Higher Education: A UTAUT2 and ECM Analysis
Adopting new policies in higher education is always accompanied with technological change and it is the intention of the stakeholders to accept and implement this change. This research seeks to explore the determinants of technology acceptance with the specific interest in the case of mobile learning in the context of combining chatbots in higher education. The inquiry aims to investigate the adoption of chatbots in education as a means of teaching, considering the factors that hinder or promote the use of this technology in the educational processes. The research design employed was a mixed-methods approach and qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys were used to gather information on chatbot adoption. The university community comprising faculty, administrative staff, and students from various higher education institutions was the study population. Data collection utilized self-administered structured questionnaires and person to person semi structured interviews. Statistical data collection and analysis was computerized with the help of SPSS. Pearson correlation and regression analysis were used to assess the association between the constructs of UTAUT2 and practical usage of chatbots. Drawing on the UTAUT model and the ECM Expectation-Confirmation Model (ECM) and its augmentation by technology, this paper investigated the diffusion of AI based chatbots in higher education. The study found spirited drivers of chatbots adoption that included performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value and habit. The importance of UTAUT2 in the analysis of interruption of use of technology in the case of chatbots is very promising to the educational managers and policy makers as it provides opportunities to figure out causes of failure. The findings of the study present a certain applicability for educational organizations wishing to adopt a chatbot. To facilitate the acceptance and use of chatbots by faculty, staff, and students, there is a need to understand the reasons that contribute to the adoption of this technology. Educational leaders and policy makers can make use of these findings to ensure effective application of chatbots in teaching and learning hence enhancing the experience of users as well as improving the impact of education. This research building on existing research will further enhance appreciation of acceptance of technological innovations in learning especially adoption of chatbots. Utilizing there last two models of Isaias and Q–complete study provide additional factors in application of AI-based chatbots in higher education. What’s new to the study, however, is the attempt to predict factors that lead to the increased use of chatbots among learners, emphasizing the possible advantages and risks of implementing this technology in education settings
The Effect of Practice Satisfaction and Practice Immersion on the Problem-Solving Ability of Nursing Students Who Experience Case-Based Extended Reality (XR) Content Learning
This study aims to understand the effect of practice satisfaction and practice commitment on the problem-solving abilities of nursing students who have experienced learning through case-based extended reality (XR) content. Methods: A descriptive study design was used. The participants were 150 nursing students from various universities in Korea. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires through a survey. The questionnaire was administered after implementing learner-based case-based extended reality (XR) content. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted on the data to examine the effect of learner-based learning through XR content on the nursing students' practice immersion and satisfaction and their impact on the problem-solving abilities. The results showed that practice immersion (t=4.082, p<.001) had a significant positive effect on problem-solving abilities. XR-based learning effectively enhances the immersion of students, thereby improving their problem-solving abilities. Therefore, developing and implementing educational programs based on XR content would be beneficial to students
A Study on the Development of a Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy Program for Suicide Prevention in Individuals with Alcohol Dependency
This study aimed to develop a suicide prevention program tailored for individuals with alcohol dependency, based on Ellis's Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) principles. The program was created using established counseling and psychoeducational program development models, with the primary objective of reducing suicidal ideation and depressive symptoms by challenging irrational beliefs and fostering rational ones. The program's core components include 'Disputing Irrational Beliefs,' 'Strengthening Rational Beliefs,' 'Emotional Regulation,' and 'Behavior Modification.' Each session is designed with specific goals to promote emotional stability and encourage behavioral change, equipping participants with practical coping strategies to mitigate suicidal thoughts actively. Although the program offers a theoretically robust framework for suicide risk reduction, this study's limitation lies in the absence of real-world feedback and program refinement based on implementation outcomes. Future research should focus on validating the program’s efficacy through pre-test, post-test, and follow-up assessments to ensure sustainable results over time. Additionally, randomized controlled trials with larger and more diverse sample populations are recommended to enhance the reliability and generalizability of the findings
The Interconnection between Job Satisfaction and Emotional Exhaustion against the Strike at Primary Education Teachers in Kosovo
This study investigates the relationship between job satisfaction and emotional exhaustion among primary education teachers in Kosovo, particularly in the context of strikes. The purpose of this paper is to understand how these variables interact and influence each other focusing on the impact of work experience. The methodology involved a quantitative approach using structured instruments to measure job satisfaction, emotional exhaustion and strike tendencies among 150 teachers from three primary schools in Pristina. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and one-way ANOVA. The findings reveal a positive and linear relationship between job satisfaction and emotional exhaustion indicating that teachers experiencing higher levels of emotional exhaustion report lower job satisfaction. Additionally, the results show that work experience significantly influences job satisfaction with more experienced teachers reporting higher satisfaction levels and better navigation of strikes. However, no significant relationships were found between job satisfaction and strike tendencies or between emotional exhaustion and strike tendencies. The practical implications of this study underscore the importance of addressing emotional exhaustion to enhance job satisfaction among teachers. The findings suggest that future research should explore interventions aimed at mitigating emotional exhaustion and improving job satisfaction in educational settings by providing a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics between job satisfaction, emotional exhaustion and strike tendencies. These insights can inform educational policy and teacher support programs ultimately contributing to a more supportive and satisfying work environment for teachers
The Role of Strategic Leadership and Job-Related Motivation on Work Discipline and Employee Performance: A Case of the Life Insurance Sector of Indonesia
Given the importance of strategic leadership in driving organizational success, understanding how it impacts motivation, discipline, and performance is crucial for both scholars and practitioners. Therefore, this study explores the relationships between strategic leadership (SL), job-related motivation (JRM), work discipline (WD), and employee performance within the life insurance sector in Jakarta, Indonesia. A quantitative approach was used, with data collected from 174 employees through structured questionnaires. The obtained data were analyzed using SmartPLS version 3.3.0. The findings revealed that SL significantly and positively influences JRM, WD, and employee performance. JRM was found to have a positive impact on both WD and employee performance. Additionally, WD directly affects employee performance. The results also demonstrated that JRM and WD act as significant mediators between SL and employee performance
