We conducted the research as a case study in a selected company. The Slovenian company employs between 300 and 350 employees, of which 100 work in management. The first significant step in the Automotive industry occurred at the beginning of 2018 when the first important project was acquired, representing 1/3 of the annual turnover of EUR 30,000,000. Constant growth and, as a result, an ever-increasing number of new projects demanded the reorganisation of the company and the formation of a separate and independent project office for the needs of the Automotive industry. As part of the research, we explore the research problem: effective management of projects or project resources from the point of view of the company's business performance. Through systematic work and the vision of the company’s management, we showed the increase in efficiency of the project team's reduction of costs, which means better competitiveness in the global market for the future

This study aims to analyze the impact of employee engagement on organizational performance in government hospitals, with particular attention to the moderating role of Psychological Capital – comprising resilience, optimism, self-efficacy, and hope - in strengthening this relationship. Grounded in theories of employee engagement and Positive Organizational Behavior, this research positions Psychological Capital as a critical construct that enhances an individual’s motivational and cognitive resources. By integrating these theoretical perspectives, the study elucidates how engagement and Psychological Capital jointly influence performance outcomes. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected via structured surveys from hospital employees in various administrative and clinical departments. Statistical analyses were then conducted to assess the direct influence of employee engagement on performance, as well as the interaction effect (moderation) of Psychological Capital. Findings confirm that employee engagement has a significant positive effect on performance, underscoring the importance of motivational and supportive work environments in government hospitals. Moreover, the moderating role of Psychological Capital is evident, as higher levels of resilience, optimism, self-efficacy, and hope substantially strengthen the engagement–performance linkage. These results underscore the necessity of strategies - such as organizational learning programs, clear alignment with the hospital's vision and mission, and active employee participation - to cultivate both engagement and Psychological Capital. By highlighting the combined importance of engagement and Psychological Capital, this study offers practical insights for hospital management to refine human resource strategies. Interventions designed to enhance Psychological Capital can bolster engagement, thereby improving service quality and operational efficiency, ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes. While previous research has established the positive association between engagement and performance, this study uniquely contributes by empirically testing the moderating role of Psychological Capital within the government hospital context. The findings offer a novel framework for developing targeted interventions that elevate employee motivation, well-being, and organizational success in a setting marked by administrative challenges and resource constraints

Artificial Intelligence for Pandemic Preparedness and Response: Lessons Learned and Future Applications

The outbreak of COVID-19 also revealed major inadequacies in the global healthcare systems, allocation of resources, and coping mechanisms in the event of a pandemic. The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic could not be addressed effectively through conventional techniques, including physical contact tracing and manual data analysis. This study investigates the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing pandemic preparedness and response by focusing on three key areas: prediction of outbreaks, distribution of resources, and vaccines. Epidemiological reports, mobility data, and data from the healthcare system were used in the AI models, which showed a higher accuracy of outbreak prediction with R² = 0.92. The resource allocation model enhanced equity by attaining an Equity Index of 0.87, with an 85% resource utilization, demonstrating that the right resources were allocated at the right place and time. The higher effectiveness of vaccine distribution simulations cut quantity disparity to 10%, thus improving fairness and logistical organization. These discoveries show that AI is central to solving global health issues, improving healthcare accessibility, and ensuring timely treatment. However, there are still some ethical concerns, such as data protection and fairness of the algorithms for large-scale implementation. Thus, this study calls for integrating artificial intelligence systems into the strategies against the pandemic as envisioned by the WHO to improve preparedness and mitigate the socioeconomic cost of the subsequent pandemics

Impact of Leadership Style on Employee Green Behavior: The Mediating Role of Employee Over-Qualification Perception

This study examines the impact of Leadership Style on Employee Green Behavior and the mediating role of Employee Over-Qualification Perception. The findings reveal that Transformational Leadership significantly enhances Employee Green Behavior, while leadership support reduces Employee Over-Qualification Perception, thereby promoting pro-environmental actions. It is recommended that organizations focus on developing leadership capabilities and creating supportive environments to encourage Employee Green Behavior. The effect of leadership style is more pronounced for employees with high self-efficacy, indicating that companies should design incentive programs tailored to individual employee characteristics. The study also identifies that the influence of leadership style on pro-environmental behavior varies by company size, with larger enterprises needing to adjust strategies to effectively promote green behavior. Continuous training and cultural development are essential for building sustainable green organizations. Companies should establish dynamic evaluation systems to regularly update strategies and ensure the sustainability of pro-environmental behavior. Leaders should act as role models for green behavior, enhancing employees’ sense of belonging and fostering a culture of environmental participation across the organization. Evaluation systems should include multiple indicators to ensure the effectiveness and specificity of strategies. Through diversified training and cultural initiatives, companies can strengthen environmental awareness, maintain the continuity and stability of green behavior, and ultimately achieve harmony between corporate development and environmental sustainability

Legal Uncertainty in Criminal Justice: A Study of the Practice of Changing Charges in Replicas Based on the Criminal Procedure Code

Dynamic legal demands often lead to changes in the criminal justice process, including changes in demands in replies. As the legal basis for criminal procedure in Indonesia, the Criminal Procedure Code gives the public prosecutor (JPU) the authority to change the indictment before the trial begins. Still, it does not explicitly regulate changes in demands in replies. This study aims to analyze demand changes in replies using a qualitative approach and literature study. The data used are in the form of laws and regulations, such as the Criminal Procedure Code, the Prosecutor's Office Law, and court decisions, as well as related legal literature. The study results indicate that changes in demands in replies are a practice that occurs in the dynamics of trials, although they do not have a strong legal basis. This has implications for legal certainty and the principle of legality in criminal procedure law. Changing demands require special attention from stakeholders to formulate more explicit rules to ensure justice and legal certainty for all parties involved in the criminal justice process

The Validity of the Phillips Curve Relationship: An Econometric Study on Moroccan Data

The Phillips curve is a key tool in the formulation of economic policies. The primary objective of this study is to examine the validity of this curve in the Moroccan context. To this end, we employ an ARDL model, applied to annual data covering the period from 1991 to 2023. The results reveal a co-integration relationship, indicating a stable and long-term link between inflation and unemployment. However, contrary to the classical predictions of the Phillips curve, the analysis shows a significant positive impact of inflation on unemployment: a 1% increase in unemployment leads to a 1.22% rise in inflation in the short term, and 1.51% in the long term. These findings challenge the applicability of the Phillips curve in Morocco, highlighting that local economic dynamics deviate from the traditional trade-off between inflation and unemployment. This divergence underscores the urgent need to redefine Morocco's economic policies by adopting integrated and balanced monetary and fiscal strategies to effectively address these two major challenges

Conceptual Paper: Impact of Hotel Frontliners' Social Attractiveness on Consumer Participation: Mediating Role of Consumer Appreciation and Moderating Influence of Interpersonal Trust

Underpinned in the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) framework, this conceptual paper presents a model that explores how consumers’ intentions to participate and their level of appreciation are influenced by their perceptions of service frontliners in the context of hotels. The model is based on established theories and draws from a wide array of literature in psychology, sociology, and service marketing. This study examines the relationship between the social attractiveness of hotel frontliners (Stimulus) and consumer participation intentions (Response), with consumer appreciation (Organism) acting as a mediating variable. In this context, social attractiveness is analysed through three dimensions: likability, similarity, and friendliness. Beyond S-O-R, interpersonal trust is considered as a moderator to strengthen social attractiveness’ influence toward consumer participation
