    Get PDF
Critical geopolitics in maritime security analyzes how geographic location, politics and power affect security at sea. The Malacca Strait, a strategic international shipping lane, is a key focus in the context of Geopolitics in Indonesia. It connects the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, providing an important shipping route to Asia. However, its strategic position makes it a target for armed pirates, as experienced by the Malaysian tanker Nepline Delima on June 14, 2005. These crimes emphasize the importance of interstate cooperation to address threats to maritime security, which have a significant impact on the region's economy. Therefore, a clear legal framework is needed to ensure security in the Malacca Strait. This paper explores the challenges faced in the Malacca Strait and analyzes strategies that can be implemented to enhance security and defense, including multinational cooperation and addressing the root socio-economic issues that trigger piracy, with the aim of reducing and eliminating the threat of piracy from a critical geopolitical perspective

During the last decade, the use of nanotherapy as an emerging diagnostic and therapeutic tool for various diseases, especially cancer, has received much attention. So far, several approaches have been used to develop smart nanotherapies, which combine bioactive targeting to specific tissues and diagnostic properties. Nanotherapy can deliver therapeutic agents while simultaneously monitoring therapeutic response in real time. Therefore, the possibility of overdose or underdosing is reduced. Various non-invasive imaging techniques have been used to quantitatively monitor  drug delivery processes. Radiolabelling of nanomaterials is widely used as a powerful diagnostic approach in nuclear medicine imaging. In fact, various radiolabelled nanomaterials have been designed and developed for imaging tumors and other lesions due to their effective characteristics. Inorganic nanoparticles, such as nanoparticles of gold, silver, silica  or organic nanoparticles such as Polymers,  liposomes, carbon-based nanomaterials have been described as multifunctional nanotheranostics. In this review,  imaging modalities are summarized based on their use in different diseases, providing specific details on radiolabelling. In addition, the most common nanotheranosics classified by the nanomaterials used  are also summarized. In conclusion, this review can be useful to the medical and pharmaceutical society, as well as material scientists working in the field of nanotheranostics, because they can use this research as a guide to produce newer and more effective nanotheranostics

    Get PDF
The Andralanitra landfill is the waste disposal site for the city of Antananarivo. The accumulation of waste can lead to serious environmental problems, such as heavy metal contamination of the soil, surrounding vegetation and nearby water resources. The aim of this study is therefore to assess the level of metal contamination in the water, soil and edible vegetation located 50 to 500 m from the Andralanitra landfill. 53 samples were collected at each sampling point. The concentrations of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, Cr, Ni, Fe, Mn) in the various samples were determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy. For the soil samples, the results showed high levels of contamination exceeding acceptable standards, such as lead (24.80 mg/kg to 1034.02 mg/kg), manganese (112.7 to 1276.7 mk/kg) and cadmium (1.33 to 6.31 mg/kg). Analysis of the vegetation showed a high accumulation of iron (142.6-1265.8 mg/kg), chromium (0.89-16.28 mg/kg), copper (3.82-19.31 mg/kg), nickel (3.11-9.48 mg/kg) and zinc (46.83-261.34 mg/kg), which may pose potential risks to the health of the plant and above all to the food chain. The water samples are less contaminated compared to soil sample and plant sample because heavy metal migration is limited to the soil. The results were then statistically analyzed by the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method, followed by a correlation study between the heavy metals measured
