    Dynamics of Government Crisis Communication in the Hashtag Phenomenon #KaburAjaDulu

    The hashtag phenomenon #KaburAjaDulu reflects public anxiety, especially the younger generation, regarding economic, social and political conditions in Indonesia. This study analyzes the government's response to this trend through a crisis communication approach. Using qualitative methods based on literature studies, this research identifies various stages of crisis according to Steven Fink's model: prodromal, acute, chronic and resolution stages. The research results show that the government's response is still unstructured and tends to vary, ranging from positive responses to those that appear to lack empathy. This analysis highlights the importance of a more effective, planned and empathy-based crisis communication strategy to manage public opinion and mitigate negative impacts. This study recommends a more strategic, transparent and responsive communication approach in dealing with crises that arise on social media

    Detection and Genotyping of Human Papillomavirus in Egyptian Head and Neck Cancer Patients

    Background: The new classification of Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC) according to their association with human papillomavirus (HPV) infection into HPV positive tumors with good prognosis and HPV negative tumors with a poor prognosis has changed the treatment strategy of HNSCCs dramatically worldwide. However, data concerning HPV infection in HNSCCs patients is still limited and there are no studies regarding HPV genotypes in HNSCC among Egyptians. Therefore, the aim of the current study is to investigate the frequency of HPV and to detect the most prevalent HPV genotypes in Egyptian patients with oral cavity and oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma.Methods: Ninety-two oral brushing samples (76 oral cavity and 16 oropharynx) were collected by an Orcellex Brush ® in CYTO-fast solution. The extracted DNA was subjected to two different molecular techniques; the e-BRID System™ for automatic detection and genotyping and the conventional PCR for detection of HPV DNA using consensus primers (MYO9/MYO11).Results: Out of the 92 cases assessed, HPV DNA was found in three samples only (3/92; 3.3%) and the HPV66 genotype was the only genotype detected by the e-BRID System™.Conclusion: Our findings may indicate that the HPV-associated HNSCC among Egyptian patients is very low and highlight the presence of HPV66 genotype in these malignancies. Other studies from different governorates in Egypt are still needed to determine the exact frequency of HPV infections in head and neck cancer

    Mathematical Word Problems Translation And Students’ Ability In Secondary Schools In Rivers State, Nigeria

    This study investigated the relationship between Mathematical word problems translation and students’ ability in secondary schools in Rivers State, Nigeria. Three objectives, three research questions and three null hypotheses guided the study. A two-stage simple random sampling technique was employed to select 685 students from ten co-educational public secondary schools from the population of the study. Word Problem Translation Achievement Test (WPTAT) and Word Problem Solution Achievement Test (WPSAT) were used to collect data. The stability of WPTAT (r=.79) and WPSAT(r=.72) was established using the test-retest method. The Pearson Product-Moment Correlation statistic was used to analyse the data at an alpha level of .05. The result showed that there is a strong positive correlation between students’ ability to translate the text of a word problem to a mathematical sentence and the actual problem solution. The result also showed a significant relationship between students’ ability to translate the text of a word problem to mathematical sentence and the actual problem solution (F1, 683=4629, p< .05). It was therefore recommended that mathematics teachers during classroom teaching should spotlight the translation proper as a necessary step and explicitly teach the skills of translation because an erroneous translation leads to a misconception of the problem and ultimately a failure in solving the word proble

    Prevalence of job stress, burnout and coping strategies among the workers at Colombo Sea port in Sri Lanka

    BackgroundJob stress and burnout are prevalent among workers in high demand environments, such as the Colombo Sea Port. This study explores the prevalence of job stress, burnout, and coping strategies among sea port workers.MethodsA cross-sectional study was conducted with 427 workers at the Colombo Sea Port. Data were collected using structured questionnaires focusing on job stress, burnout, and coping strategies. The prevalence of job stress and burnout was assessed, and ANOVA tests were used to identify differences based on demographic and job-related factors. Chi-square tests were employed to explore the relationship between coping strategies and stress levels.ResultsThe study found that 66.7% of workers reported low levels of job stress, while 9.6% reported severe stress. Burnout, particularly occupational exhaustion, was high among workers, with 30% experiencing a high degree of burnout. Problem focused coping strategies were used by 84.5% of workers, while 70.3% used emotion focused strategies. Statistically significant differences in job stress and burnout were found across education, income, job category, and service experience while the coping strategies were significantly associated with job stress and burnout levels.ConclusionsThe findings highlight a high prevalence of job stress and burnout among sea port workers, with coping strategies playing a critical role in managing stress. Interventions targeting job stress, burnout prevention, and promoting effective coping mechanisms are essential for improving workers' mental health

    Risk Assessment Based on Sources in The Bali Public School Project and Mitigation Actions Plan

    This study aims to identify, analyze, and determine risk mitigation actions for the Bali Public School Project. Ten sources, including literature studies and interviews, determine the risks. Risk sources include environmental, planning, economic, logistical, technical, natural, human, criminal, financial, and safety. The identified risks are then compiled into a questionnaire, and it is first tested for validity and reliability. The method used for data collection was filling out a questionnaire and interviewing respondents. The purposive sampling method is used to determine respondents. Twenty-five respondents filled out the questionnaire from various job positions on the project, such as owners, designing consultants, supervisory consultants, contractors, and the community. The results reveal that ten risk sources led to the identification of 32 (thirty-two) risks. Major risks consist of unacceptable risks of 3 risks (9.38%), undesirable risks of 25 risks (78.13%), and minor risks of acceptable risks of 4 risks (12.5%). Major risks must be mitigated to reduce potential future impacts. A total of thirty-nine mitigation actions can be done, with details of 5 (12.82%) for unacceptable risk levels and 34 (87.2%) for undesirable risk levels. The existence of these mitigation actions is expected to enable related parties to manage all risks that may occur so as not to cause harm in the future

    Introduction : Atraumatic care is a therapeutic service to minimize trauma caused by both psychological and psychological impacts due to the impact of treatment in hospitals, nursing homes or carrying out treatment at home. Mixed methods research is particularly effective for studying complex healthcare interventions, as it combines the strengths of both qualitative and quantitative approaches.Methods:Literature searches are used in this method. The researcher conducted a search using electronic databases as follows Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus , DOAJ. The author conducted a search using keywords or terminology including "Paediatric Care", “technology-based atraumatic care”, ‘hospitalized children”, “Mix Method Research Design” , “pediatric care”. In the process of searching for journal articles, the author conducted a search based on inclusion criteria consisting of: 1. The mix methods research design, 2. Atraumatic care in sick children, 3. Hospitalized sick children, 4. Journal articles and manuscripts. The exclusion criteria in this search are 1. Articles with a year limit of less than 2020; 2. Articles not in English. Results: In the process of finding journals in search engines, it was found that there were around 821 research journals related to the theme.     Study Of Earthquake Hazard Risk In The Special Region Of Yogyakarta Using The Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis (PSHA) Approach Method

    The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is an area with high seismic potential because its area is close to the southern subduction zone of Java Island and has active faults. Seismic hazard analysis is essential for disaster mitigation and building management. This study aims to create a map of the distribution of earthquake prone areas and determine the distribution area with a seismic risk level based on the Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) and Spectral Acceleration (SA) values using the Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis (PSHA) method which can estimate the seismic risk at a location by considering the probability of earthquake intensity in a certain period of time in the future. Earthquake catalog data obtained from USGS, IRIS, and ISC from 1970-2023 were used in this study. The results obtained are a distribution map of PGA and SA values with a probability of being exceeded of 5% in 10 years, obtained PGA values ranging from 0.52 g - 0.77 g, SA values (T = 0.2 s) between 1.07 g - 1.51 g, and SA values (T = 1 s) between 0.33 g - 0.4 g, and a probability of being exceeded of 7% in 75 years with PGA values ranging from 0.97 g - 1.39 g, SA values (T = 0.2 s) between 1.96 g - 2.54 g, and SA values (T = 1 s) between 0.58 g - 0.74 g. Bantul Regency and the southern part of Gunung Kidul Regency are areas in the DIY region with the highest PGA values, namely, 0.7 g - 1.39 g and the highest SA for the probability of exceeding 5% in 10 years (T = 0.2 s) of 1.51 g and (T = 1 s) of 0.4 g, and the probability of exceeding 7% in 75 years (T = 0.2 s) of 2.54 g and (T = 1 s) of 0.74 g

    The Power of Algorithms in Social Media: Beyond Herbert Marcuse's One-Dimensional Man

    This study attempts to reflect Herbert Marcuse's one-dimensional man thinking in relation to the use of social media. Using a literature study method, this study highlights how social media is used in everyday life amidst the power of capitalism. In terms of social media use, user activity will produce data to be analyzed by algorithms, and the results will be used to form and organize the types of information that users have the potential to access. The algorithmic process in turn makes social media users not need to make serious efforts in choosing information content. This condition, where social media users are controlled by algorithmic technology, reflects Marcuse's thinking about one-dimensional man, where modern and capitalist society today no longer has the ability to think critically. Marcuse then views consumerism as a form of control that deceives individuals; they feel they are already in the midst of a democratic society. In fact, they are only directed towards an authoritative style of power. However, Marcuse in this case does not offer a way out of the trap of capitalism so that humans can return to being two-dimensional. Through this study, researchers will try to explore Marcuse's advanced thinking about one-dimensional man developed by Andrew Freenberg regarding Democratic Rationalization. If Herbert Marcuse analyzed the rationality of technology in the phase of the human dimension towards a single and repressive direction, Andrew Freenberg based his thinking on the view that technology does not always work by following the rules of capitalism. On the contrary, technology is very likely to be used as a medium to mediate and transform society to be more democratic

    Impact Of Collective Bargaining In Attaining Organizational Performance In A Formal Sector (A Case Study Of Guiness Nigeria PLC)

    This study examines the impact of collective bargaining on organizational performance in the formal sector, using Guinness Nigeria Plc as a case study. The research adopts the Efficiency, Equity, and Voice (EEV) Framework as its theoretical foundation. A quantitative research design was employed, with data collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 40 employees across different organizational levels. The study found that 65% of respondents acknowledged that collective bargaining significantly enhances organizational performance, while 72.5% perceived it as favorable. Pearson correlation analysis indicated a positive and statistically significant relationship between collective bargaining and organizational performance (r = 0.312, p = 0.047). These findings align with previous studies, highlighting that structured labor negotiations improve workplace motivation, job satisfaction, and productivity. The study concludes that collective bargaining is an essential tool for industrial harmony and workforce efficiency, recommending that organizations adopt inclusive bargaining strategies to sustain long-term growth and employee well-being

    ANALYSIS OF 135 CC MOTORCYCLE ENGINE PERFORMANCE REGARDING THE USE OF VARIOUS REED VALVES

    Reed valve on a motorcycle is a one-way valve commonly used in two-stroke engines, especially in the intake manifold between the carburetor and the crankcase. The reed valve functions to regulate the flow of air and fuel mixture so that it can only enter the crankcase when the piston moves up (suction process), and prevents the mixture from coming back out when the piston goes down (compression process). The development of automotive industry technology, especially in motorcycles, demands good engine performance and fuel consumption. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of reed valve variations on the performance of a 135 CC motorcycle engine. In this study, tests were carried out on 3 reed valve variations, namely: standard reed valve, viber reed valve and carbon reed valve. This study uses a direct experimental method where power and torque testing is carried out using a dynotest tool. The results of this study show the highest torque on the viber reed valve at an engine speed of 8000 rpm with a value of 16.25 Nm. Meanwhile, the highest power value is found in the viber at 9000 rpm with a value of 20.85 hp. This shows that the viber reed valve provides the highest torque and power performance at high engine speeds, while the standard reed valve has the lowest torque and power performance. The analysis results show that the standard reed valve shows stable engine performance, the carbon reed valve shows better initial acceleration (light pull), while the viber reed valve shows high performance at high rpm (racing and top speed)
