    Factors Affecting Farmers' Decisions To Sell Dry Harvested Grain (Gkp) And Their Implications For The Sustainability Of Rice Farming In The Telang Transmigration Area Of Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra

    This study aims to analyze the factors that influence farmers' decisions in the Telang Transmigration Area, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, to sell their harvest in the form of Dry Harvested Paddy (GKP), as well as to examine the implications of GKP prices on the sustainability of rice farming. The results show that the decision to sell GKP is influenced by limited post-harvest facilities, the inefficiency of Rice Milling Units (RMUs), the dominance of collectors or middlemen in the trade system, labor cost considerations, price stability after government intervention, negative experiences with price fluctuations, and a lack of downstream incentives. Relatively stable GKP prices provide short-term income certainty, but have the potential to hamper the increase in added value and competitiveness of farmers in the long term.Keywords: dry unhusked rice, farmers, rice, rice milling unit, trade, economy, downstreaming, Telang transmigration area

    Spatial Analysis of Social Studies Teacher Distribution and Its Impact on Learning Quality in Public Junior High Schools in Central Lampung Regency

    This study investigates the spatial distribution of Social Studies teachers and its influence on learning quality in public junior high schools in Central Lampung Regency. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach with spatial analysis, data were collected through documentation, questionnaires, observations, and interviews, then analyzed using percentage analysis, correlation tests, and GIS-based spatial mapping. Results reveal that 35% of schools face teacher shortages, 25% experience teacher surplus, and the rest remain relatively balanced. Learning quality is significantly higher in schools with adequate teacher allocation (78%) compared to those with shortages (65%). Correlation analysis confirms a significant relationship between teacher distribution and learning quality. Contributing factors include geographical location (42%), teacher recruitment and transfer policies (30%), and limited school facilities (28%). These findings emphasize the need for proportional teacher placement, professional development programs, and policies considering geographic accessibility

    Cette étude est parti du constat alarmant selon lequel, la population du territoire de Bolobo vit depuis des décennies dans une misère indescriptible caractérisée par l’insécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle, de logement inadéquat’ absence des personnels soignants qualifiés, malgré toutes  les ressources naturelles  qu’il regorge, dont : la forêt tropicale, les savanes, le fleuve Congo, la rivière  Kasaï, et surtout sa proximité avec les deux capitales les plus rapprochées du monde( Kinshasa et Brazzaville).  Après collecte analyse et interprétation des données,   les résultats  démontrent que, les comportement - obstacles pour  le développement du territoire de Bolobo sont  les conflits de terres, l’égoïsme, la corruption, le non-respect des biens publics, le manque de coopération, la solitude, l'absence de collaboration entre les différents acteurs d’un même territoire, y compris les conflits d’intérêts, qui caractérisent aussi par  les conduites interrelationnelles et défaillantes entre les peuples (Teke, Nunu et Tende)

    Adaptive Multi-Objective Optimization of PV-Diesel Hybrid Systems for Climate Resilience in Semi-Arid Regions

    The electrification of semi-arid regions confronts unprecedented reliability challenges stemming from extreme climate variability challenges that climate change continues to intensify at an accelerating pace. Conventional optimization methods for PV-diesel hybrid systems often fail to account for these deep uncertainties, leading to designs that are either unreliable or economically unviable. This paper introduces a novel Adaptive Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm with an Evolving Fitness Function (AMOGA-EFF) to optimize system design for long-term resilience. The framework is uniquely built on a comprehensive uncertainty analysis, integrating high-resolution stochastic modeling from 20-year historical weather data with an ensemble of CMIP6 climate projections (SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5). To quantify performance under these stresses, we introduce two new metrics: the Climate Robustness Index (CRI) and the Economic Vulnerability Factor (EVF).The AMOGA-EFF approach was rigorously tested through extensive simulations for three distinct sites: Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Jodhpur (India), and Petrolina (Brazil); where it consistently demonstrated superior performance. It yields a 35-42% improvement in system resilience with only a 6-11% increase in the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) compared to the standard NSGA-II algorithm. Under the high-emission SSP5-8.5 scenario, optimized systems maintain 89% availability during extreme weather events, in stark contrast to the 61% achieved by conventional deterministic designs. Furthermore, the resulting configurations achieve a 13.3% reduction in total life-cycle cost, primarily through a 22.1% decrease in fuel consumption. This work provides a robust methodological blueprint for designing resilient and cost-effective energy infrastructures in climate-vulnerable regions worldwide

    The Use Of A Digital Resistivity Tool For Investigating Variations In Depths To Aquifer At Amachree Area In Buguma, Rivers State

    This study investigates the subsurface hydrogeological conditions of Buguma in the Niger Delta, with a focus on identifying zones of iron-rich water and saltwater intrusion that threaten groundwater quality. Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) was applied to characterize the subsurface and delineate conductive zones that reflect different contamination sources. The resistivity tomogram reveals a shallow conductive layer interpreted as an iron-water formation zone, likely resulting from the mobilization of ferruginous minerals under changing redox conditions. This zone shows a progressive downward extension, indicating infiltration into deeper aquifer units. At greater depths, a distinct low-resistivity zone was identified, consistent with saltwater intrusion extending laterally and vertically through the subsurface. The continuous conductive signature from shallow to deep levels suggests a vulnerable aquifer system with direct hydraulic connectivity, allowing contaminant mixing and reduced freshwater quality. The geological framework, dominated by unconsolidated sands and interbedded clays of the Benin Formation, enhances permeability and further supports the downward and lateral migration of contaminants. The results highlight a dual contamination scenario: ferruginous enrichment at shallow depths and saline intrusion at greater depths. This poses a serious threat to sustainable groundwater use in Buguma. Immediate mitigation measures such as controlled abstraction, monitoring, and aquifer protection are recommended to preserve groundwater resources

    Kecamatan Nipah Panjang adalah salah satu kecamatan di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Sebagian besar wilayah kecamatan ini berada di pinggiran laut, sehingga mata pencaharian utama masyarakatnya adalah nelayan. Struktur Komunitas dapat  menentukan keanekaragaman dan komposisi populasi ikan pada perairan. Semakin banyak anggota atau jenis ikan yang berbeda-beda ditemukan, maka semakin tinggi keanekaragaman dalam suatu komunitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Struktur Komunitas hasil tangkapan jaring tiga lapis (trammel net) di Perairan Nipah Panjang Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada tanggal 10 April sampai 7 Mei 2025 menggunakan metode survey. Analisis data pada penelitian ini yaitu komposisi hasil tangkapan, indeks keanekaragaman, indeks keseragaman, indeks dominansi. Hasil tangkapan utama adalah udang agogo (Penaeus indicus) dengan berat 2.466 kg (51,51%) dan jumlah 58.767 ekor (64,88%). Hasil tangkapan sampingan terdiri atas 13 spesies lainnya, dengan ikan kurisi (Nemipterus hexadon) sebagai yang terbanyak. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H’) sebesar 1,4 (kategori sedang), indeks keseragaman (E) sebesar 0,53 (kategori sedang), dan indeks dominansi (C) sebesar 0,43 (kategori rendah). Struktur komunitas hasil tangkapan dengan alat tangkap trammel net di perairan Nipah Panjang Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur berada pada kondisi keanekaragaman dan keseragaman sedang dengan dominansi rendah, serta didominasi oleh hasil tangkapan utama berupa udang agogo

    Electrical Performance of a Standalone Dual-Fluid CPVT Solar Power Plant with MPPT, Buck-Boost Converter, and Battery Storage

    This study introduces a novel architecture of a dual-fluid photovoltaic–thermal (PVT) hybrid solar system equipped with fins, integrating a compound parabolic cylindrical concentrator, a dual-mode cooling system (water and air), a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm based on the Perturb and Observe (P&O) method, a Buck-Boost converter, and battery storage. The objective is to maximize the conversion of solar energy into both electricity and heat, while ensuring a reliable and autonomous energy supply for the needs of the LPADER university laboratory in Mahajanga. The methodology is based on rigorous mathematical modeling and numerical simulations performed in MATLAB, taking into account the local climatic conditions. The results highlight the potential of this architecture to ensure stable electrical generation, while efficiently recovering heat for domestic or agricultural applications. The dual-fluid CPVT hybrid field thus represents a sustainable and high-performance solution for decentralized electrification, particularly in rural areas or regions with unstable grids, thereby contributing to local sustainable development

    Strategic Alliances, Human Resource Motivation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Partnership, and their Financial Performance: the Case of Greater Antananarivo, Madagascar

    The main objective of the research is to identify a new source that influences the motivation of employees in Malagasy small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which would lead to their financial performance. The study aims to analyse the link between the use of strategic alliances, the motivation of human resources in partner SMEs and the financial performance of the latter. A specific methodological approach was adopted in order to achieve these objectives. The research data was collected from a sample of 252 people from SMEs involved in strategic alliances, comprising executives, managers and their subordinates. Data analysis was performed using a partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM), a modelling method appropriate for variables containing multiple elements and multiple cause-and-effect relationships. The results show that there are direct links between the use of strategic alliances, mutual learning among the human resources of partner companies, the acquisition of skills by the human resources of partner companies, the sense of competence of the human resources of partner companies, and the motivation of the human resources of partner companies. There is also a relationship between the use of strategic alliances and the acquisition of skills, between the use of strategic alliances and the feeling of competence, between mutual learning among human resources and the motivation of human resources, between the acquisition of skills and the motivation of human resources, and between the use of strategic alliances and the motivation of human resources. There are also links between the use of strategic alliances and financial performance, between mutual learning among human resources and the financial performance of partners, between skills acquisition and financial performance, between the feeling of competence and financial performance, and between the motivation of human resources and financial performance. This research is one of the first to study the three-way relationship between the use of strategic alliances by Malagasy SME managers, the motivation of their human resources, and the financial performance of partners

    Analyse Spatiale Des Disparités D’aménagement En Infrastructure Hydrauliques Dans La Commune D’Ifangni (Sud-Est Du Benin)

    La disponibilité et l’accès à l’eau potable dans les communes rurales du Bénin constituent des défis majeurs auxquels des solutions pérennes tardent à être trouvées. Cette recherche vise aux disparités spatiales liées à la répartition des infrastructures hydrauliques dans la Commune d’Ifangni.L’approche méthodologique adoptée pour atteindre cet objectif repose essentiellement sur la collecte et le traitement des données des données spatiales et démographiques. Les données spatiales concernent les coordonnées géographiques des infrastructures hydrauliques de la Commune d’Ifangni qui ont été relevées au moyen d’un GPS ; tandis que les données démographiques sont extraites du rapport du RGPH 4 publié par l’INStaD. Le traitement des données a été effectué à l'aide de méthodes d’analyse spatiale dans le logiciel ArcGIS 10.8, ce qui a permis la réalisation des différentes cartes.Les résultats montrent une distribution inégale des points d’eau à travers les différents arrondissements. Ces infrastructures sont plus concentrées dans les arrondissements de Ko-Koumolou, Daagbé, Tchaada et Banigbé qui sont les zones à couverture élevée selon l’analyse spatiale par polygones de Thiessen. En ce qui conserne l’accessibilité spatiale, seulement 15,7 % de la superficie de la Commune d’Ifangni est couverte par les points d’eau dans un rayon de 500 mètres tandis que 14,79 % sont couvertes dans un rayon compris entre 3 000 et 5 000 mètres. Ces situations traduisent les faibles taux de desserte enregistrés dans la Commune. Les zones à très faible desserte, représentées se concentrent principalement au centre et au nord-est avec des taux de desserte compris entre 1,46 et 3,91 %. Le taux de desserte le plus élevé de la Commune qui est de 11,27 % est enregistré dans l’arrondissement de Tchaada. Ces résultats appellent des actions coordonnées pour assurer à la population de la Commune d’Ifangni un accès équitable et durable à l’eau potable

    Implementation of Integrated Farming System (IFS) and Digitization of Gurgur Tourism Park to Improve Circular Economy in Toba Regency, North Sumatra

    Agriculture and tourism are two sectors that play a significant role in economic development, especially in rural areas. Sustainable development of rural areas demands constructive collaboration between efficient agricultural practices, resource conservation, and the inclusive utilization of local tourism potential. The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception of the people of Toba Regency in the implementation of the Integrated Farming System (IFS) and digitalization in order to improve the circular economy. The method of selecting the research location was carried out deliberately (purposive). The results obtained from this study are that the community has a perception of agricultural integration and understands that the circular economy principle is useful in improving resource efficiency and ecosystem sustainability. Tourism digitalization has been proven to strengthen the promotion of tourism and local products. Furthermore, 100% of respondents stated that the integrated farming system and digitalization are able to increase income and realize a circular economy
