Quantitative Metrics For Profitability When Implementing Conscious Capitalism Among Accounting Professionals
The Conscious Capitalism practice contributes to well-being of workers, society, and environment, yet there is doubt about its profitability and sustainability. This paper examines quantitative metrics that can measure the profitability of applying the Conscious Capitalism philosophy in the accounting profession. Conclusions presented at the end of the paper arrive from examining survey responses from employees in companies that implement this philosophy to those which do not
Predicting the Religion of a Country from the colors in its Flag using Data Mining Techniques
Huge amounts of data is being transferred ever since the evolution of internet and social media. By observing that data in an efficient way we can predict a lot of things early based on the past data. Many data mining techniques and algorithms are available to obtain results from data. In this project I aim to predict the religion of a country based on the colors in its flag. National flags are designed according to the culture and traditions of the people. The colors and symbols in the flags represent those. Classification and clustering algorithms are used and compared. The predictions may or may not become true. But the algorithm that has a high percentage of correct predictions is considered the best
Coordinating a Heterogeneous Robot Swarm Using Robot Utility-based Task Assignment (RUTA)
The goal of this work is the development of a task-oriented software application that facilitates the rapid deployment of multiple robotic agents. The task solutions are created at run-time and executed by the agents in a centralized or decentralized fashion. Tasks are divided into smaller subtasks which are then assigned to the optimal number of robots using Robot Utility Based Task Assignment (RUTA) algorithm. The system deploys these robots using its application program interfaces (API’s) and uploads programs that are integrated with a small routine code. The embedded routine allows robots to configure solutions when decentralized approach is adopted

Creating a product catalog with djondb
DjonDB is a document based database whose query language is similar to SQL which makes it easy for the users to understand. All the documents in DjonDB are stored in files and organized by namespace in the data folder. Each database may contain one or several namespaces, and these namespaces may contain several documents. We have created a product catalog with DjonDB, PHP Restler and Backbone JS. In our application user will be able to: 1. Browse available products. 2. See product details. 3. Add a new product to the catalog. We want to use a web browser to use the application, so the client will be an HTML, CSS and JavaScript application created with Twitter Bootstrap and Backbone.js
Utilizing Big Data Analytics to Improve Education
Analytics can be defined as the process of determining, assessing, and interpreting meaning from volumes of data. It has been categorized in three different categories - descriptive, predictive and prescriptive. Predictive analysis can serve many segments of society as it can reveal hidden relationship which may not be apparent with descriptive modeling. Analytics advancement plays an important role in higher education planning. It answers several questions such as -which students will enroll in particular course, what courses are on trending or obsolete, what is the level of student satisfaction in the current education system, effectiveness of online study environment, how to design a better curriculum, likelihood of students transfer, drop out or failure to complete the course. Not only, data analytics helps in analyzing above points but also can be helpful in predictive modeling for faculty, administrative and students groups who are looking out for genuine results about the university rankings, based on which they make their decisions. Using the dataset “Academic Ranking of World Universities, 2003-2014”, we studied and analyzed to forecast how university’s management and faculty could adapt to changes to improve their education and thereby the ranking of their universities in the upcoming years. Microsoft SQL Server Data Mining Add-ins Excel 2008 was employed as a software mining tool for predicting the trending university ranking. This research paper concentrates upon predictive analysis of university ranking using forecasting based on data mining technique
Risk, Return and Forecast Negative Correlation of BETA and PE
We all want to forecast returns. Profits are the main sources of corporate valuation increase and price earnings ratio has been widely used to select stocks. Half of the US corporate profits come from international sales and that also depends on currency rate, too. This research re-visits traditional PE ratio approach and propose new implication of PE ratio approach using risk consideration
