Art Provenance using Blockchain for Authenticity
While art forgery has been a persistent issue since the Renaissance, a new technology now seems to have come to an end once and for all. The provenance of blockchain art is a technology that reinvents art from a new digital era and new forms of art. Many art galleries and auction houses rely on origin to determine the authenticity of art works. Provenance is essentially the list of transactions which show how a piece of art switched hands between owners and the artist. The artwork is often traced by the origin of its creator and is shown in gallery bills, expo records, auction records, shipping labels and dealer stamps. Unfortunately, it is neither unusual nor unusual to forge or counterfeit provenance documents and to sell fake artworks, despite the caution
Interprofessional Collaboration Among Complementary And Integrative Health Providers In Private Practice And Community Health Centers
Background: The current healthcare environment is placing increasing emphasis on interprofessional collaboration (IPC). IPC may be of particular importance to complementary and integrative health (CIH) providers who have historically practiced in silos. The extent to which these providers are collaborating with each other and with other providers is not known. Purpose: Investigate aspects of IPC occurring in a sample of CIH providers. Method: A qualitative health services study using semi-structured interviews. Discussion: CIH providers were found to be collaborating with each other and other providers. Subjects indicated IPC had a positive impact on practice and on patient care. Educating students and practitioners about other health disciplines was seen as being key to collaboration between professions, as was being able to communicate using terms others could understand. Conclusions: Results of this study can contribute to broadening the scope of IPC, improve clinical outcomes, improve efficiency for healthcare systems, and may be useful to institutions engaged in training CIH providers in development of curricular content.https://doi.org/10.1016/j.xjep.2019.02.00
Secure Intelligent Vehicular Network Using Fog Computing
VANET (vehicular ad hoc network) has a main objective to improve driver safety and traffic efficiency. The intermittent exchange of real-time safety message delivery in VANET has become an urgent concern due to DoS (denial of service) and smart and normal intrusions (SNI) attacks. The intermittent communication of VANET generates huge amount of data which requires typical storage and intelligence infrastructure. Fog computing (FC) plays an important role in storage, computation, and communication needs. In this research, fog computing (FC) integrates with hybrid optimization algorithms (OAs) including the Cuckoo search algorithm (CSA), firefly algorithm (FA), firefly neural network, and the key distribution establishment (KDE) for authenticating both the network level and the node level against all attacks for trustworthiness in VANET. The proposed scheme is termed “Secure Intelligent Vehicular Network using fog computing” (SIVNFC). A feedforward back propagation neural network (FFBP-NN), also termed the firefly neural, is used as a classifier to distinguish between the attacking vehicles and genuine vehicles. The SIVNFC scheme is compared with the Cuckoo, the FA, and the firefly neural network to evaluate the quality of services (QoS) parameters such as jitter and throughput.http://dx.doi.org/10.3390/electronics804045
Immigration and Immigrants in the USA
Immigration has been long time debates in USA. American is known as the platform of opportunity for the immigrants. Different people had different mentality for the immigrants, some people are in the favor of immigrants and are ready to stand for their right whereas some people think they are the barriers for this country. Therefore, in this research we are showing the percentages of contribution and the areas where the immigrants are working. Immigration and immigrants are actually helping in the development of USA, the majority of people who are behind the success of the USA are Immigrants
To Work or to Go for Education?
Millions of students will arrive on college campuses soon in September, and they will share a similar burden: college debt. The typical student borrower will take out 22,000 in debt by graduation, and it keeps growing through out the year due to interest rate. This research was designed to test out how rational/ irrational would people make decision between to get college education or to just go straight to work instead. This survey data is the respondents’ direct responses from both classmates and outside sources of age between 18 to 70 years old. It shows most of the people still prefer to go to college and worry about student loan later on than not go to college. On the other hand, people do prefer to not able to work full time but goes to college over working full time without education
Evaluation of Temporal readout noise in low power CMOS Sensors
Our research currently focusing on image sensors predominantly the sensors implemented using CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) technology. These sensors designated as CMOS sensors which were introduced after CCD (Charge-coupled Devices) sensors since CCDs having some drawbacks in terms of its power and making cost compared to CMOS sensors. The most prominent feature of the CMOS sensors is that they can work at low voltage. CMOS sensors need only one supply voltage but CCDs require three to four which makes the cost of the CMOS sensor very low compared to CCD. CMOS image sensors in general have higher temporal noise, higher fixed pattern noise, higher dark current, smaller full well charge capacitance, and lower spectral response, they cannot provide the same wide dynamic range (DR) and superior signal to noise ratio (SNR) that the CCD image sensors have. The Temporal noise of low power CMOS Sensor is evaluated with respect to various pixel sizes and Pixel arrays and corresponding regression analysis applied to obtain the linearity between the input voltage and the power consumed by the sensor in different technical environments
A Cognitive Bias - 10 Mintues to Save $10
A cognitive bias is a systematic pattern of deviation from norm or rationality in judgment. Cognitive biases may sometimes lead to perceptual distortion, inaccurate judgment, illogical interpretation, or what is broadly called irrationality. (Wikipedia, 2018) This research was designed a experiment to test the irrational illusion. It was a type of cognitive bias and it lead a systematic error of inductive reasoning. People displayed this bias when they believed they were smart, and they made the right decision by doing mathematic calculation to save a big portion of the money vs their spending amount. They thought they could save 33.33% spending if they went for 230 gift. Therefore, they believed that they had made the right decision to go for $30 gift because the trip made them feel that they saved a lot of money
Rehabilitation Expertise in the Chiropractic Profession: A Preliminary Survey
The chiropractic diplomate is an advanced standing designation given to doctors of chiropractic who have completed additional training and demonstrated skills consistent with their board of expertise. The American Board of Chiropractic Specialties (ABCS) works with each group - there are 14 - to develop and ensure high-quality programs that uphold high-standards of professional development. Our first aim will be to look for diagnosis trends among rehab specialists as it pertains to each body region. Our second aim will look into treatment approaches as explained by specialists. These approaches are hypothesized to be different and distinct from other council specialties and we’ll look to better define services offered across the profession
Training Within Industry (TWI)
Training Within Industry's rich history originated in the United States in the 1940s where the program was a resounding success, boosting industrial production of war material beyond expectations. The program was born out of the need to rapidly train unskilled workers entering the war production workforce as many skilled laborers went off to war. The TWI Service was one of the first emergency services established during World War II by the U.S. Government War Production Board in the early 1940’s. A national network of professionals was drafted from industry to develop techniques to quickly ramp up the production of war materials. The TWI Mission is To help industry to help itself to get out more materials than have ever been thought possible, and at constantly accelerating speed. The real job had to be done by industry, within industry. By the end of the war over 1.6 million workers in roughly 16,500 plants had received certified training in TWI
Mindful-Based Therapy: Neurological Benefits of Mindfulness for Adults with Autism
This study will examine emerging evidence into the benefits of Mindful Based Therapy (MBT) and the effectiveness of Mindful Meditation used on Autistic adults. The potential for meditation as a therapy for Autism, which assess the impacts that occurs and the affect that takes place neurologically on the reduction of Anxiety, Depression and Rumination in adults with Autism
