Solar Powered Water Pump System
Solar energy is the most abundant source of energy in the world. Solar power is not only an answer to today’s energy crisis but also an environmental friendly form of energy. Photovoltaic generation is an efficient approach for using the solar energy. Solar panels (an array of photovoltaic cells) are nowadays extensively used for running street lights, for powering water heaters and to meet domestic loads. The cost of solar panels has been constantly decreasing which encourages its usage in various sectors. One of the application of this technology is used in irrigation systems for farming. Solar powered irrigation system can be a suitable alternative for farmers in the present state of energy crisis in India. This a green way for energy production which provides free energy once an initial investment is made. In this project we propose an automatic irrigation system using solar power which drives water pumps to pump water from bore well to a tank and the outlet valve of tank is automatically regulated using controller and moisture sensor to control the flow rate of water from the tank to the irrigation field which optimizes the use of water. The paper is divided into 6 sections discussing the literature survey, proposed solution, implementation, cost analysis and results and conclusion, references. Cost effective solar power can be the answer for all our energy needs. Solar powered smart irrigation systems are the answer to the Indian farmer. This system consists of solar powered water pump along with an automatic water flow control using a moisture sensor. It is the proposed solution for the present energy crisis for the Indian farmers. This system conserves electricity by reducing the usage of grid power and conserves water by reducing water losses

Energy Efficient Clustering for Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks - A Survey
Ongoing advancements in electro-mechanical, power electronics and wireless communications have made possible the use of wireless sensor networks in remote applications such as environmental conditions, forest fire protection and target monitoring in military applications. These unattended applications require a huge number of sensor nodes working efficiently together for a common goal. Since sensor nodes have limited energy resources, it is of vital importance to use them in an efficient manner to improve a network’s lifetime. One of the most important methods to achieve this is by making clusters. Nodes may not have the same energy, which makes it even more important for these clusters to work efficiently together in order to save power. Wireless sensor networks are of homogeneous and heterogeneous type. This paper presents a survey on energy efficient clustering mechanisms in heterogeneous wireless sensor networks. Nodes in homogeneous wireless sensor networks have similar resources, however heterogeneous networks have nodes with different energy levels that can be used effectively to enhance a network’s lifetime
Applying FAHP to Improve the Performance Evaluation Reliability and Validity of Software Defect Classifiers
Today’s Software complexity makes developing defect-free software almost impossible. On an average, billions of dollars are lost every year because of software defects in the United States alone, while the global loss is much higher. Consequently, developing classifiers to classify software modules into defective and non-defective before software releases, has attracted a great interest in academia and the software industry alike. Although many classifiers have been proposed, none has been proven superior to others. The major reason is that while a research shows that classifier-A is better than classifier-B, we can find other research coming to a diametrically opposite conclusion. These conflicts are usually triggered when researchers report results using their preferred performance quality measures such as recall and precision. Although this approach is valid, it does not examine all possible facets of classifiers’ performance characteristics. Thus, performance evaluation might improve or deteriorate if researchers choose other performance measures. As a result, software developers usually struggle to select the most suitable classifier to use in their projects. The goal of this dissertation is to apply the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) as a popular multi-criteria decision-making technique to overcome these inconsistencies in research outcomes. This evaluation framework incorporates a wider spectrum of performance measures to evaluate classifiers’ performance, rather than relying on selected, preferred measures. The results show that this approach will increase software developers’ confidence in research outcomes, help them in avoiding false conclusions and indicate reasonable boundaries for them. We utilized 22 popular performance measures and 11 software defect classifiers. The analysis was carried out using KNIME data mining platform and 12 software defect data sets provided by NASA Metrics Data Program (MDP) repository
Evaluation of hyaluronan content in areas of densification compared to adjacent areas of fascia
Connective tissues between fascia layers are rich in hyaluronan (HA), allowing normal gliding of fascial layers. Fascial densifications contain increased concentration of HA molecules, leading to aggregation of HA chains and altered HA consistency. Restricted fascial gliding, dysfunction and pain may follow. Centers of coordination (CC) are specific points where forces of muscle contraction converge in epimysial fascia to coordinate joint movement. This study compared HA content at a densified CC to adjacent non-densified areas and looked for visible differences between CC and non-CC sites through histological staining techniques

Contributions to the successes and barriers of African American male educators in K-12 public school education: A Case Study
There is a shortage of African American male educators in the United States (Delpit, 2006). This underrepresentation occurred as a result of the significant case, Brown vs. Board of Education (1954), which permitted the integration of schools for all (Howard & Milner, 2004). Although this integration was applauded, it resulted in a decline of African American teachers (Sealey-Ruiz & Lewis, 2011). Today, the Black male teacher-student ratio is 1:534, but there is one White female teacher for every five students (Toldson, 2010). Changes are necessary to increase African American male teacher representation in public school. This case study research (Yin, 2014) was conducted to present the journey of eight experienced teachers and three administrators of the New York City Department of Education to understand their school experiences and teaching to gain perspectives about supports and barriers for African American males in the profession. This case used a cross case analysis approach to compare the teachers and administrators thematically coded responses to the semi-structured interview questions. The study used a qualitative research approach to construct meaning from both teachers’ and administrators’ experiences. The researcher gathered information to determine the connections between the participants’ experiences and their views of African American males as educators (Lapan, Quartaroli, & Riemer, 2012). To obtain information, the qualitative data was collected with face-to-face interviews, which allowed researcher to ask questions while gaining insight through reflections of the participants’ experiences (Lapan et al., 2012). The 11 participants interviewed provided detailed descriptions of their experiences. By coding the interview data, emergent themes were generated. In general, the belief from both teachers and administrators is that for there to be an increase in African American male educators, it is necessary to make the education field more attractive to them by providing them with equitable compensation, incorporating additional support in college preparation courses, increasing collaborative measures from university programs to diversify and improve teacher education programs, and creating mentor opportunities for struggling teachers to receive support outside of the classroom. Findings showed African American male teachers and administrators faced many barriers in education. Participants discussed the African American male student experience, including the disproportionate placement in special education (Harry & Anderson, 1994), high expulsion rates and increasing gaps in academic achievements as factors contributing to the negative experiences African American males encounter in school
