A Review of VelocityDB NOSQL Graph Database
In today’s dynamic and agile business environment, digital world is growing in terms of volume, variety and velocity commonly referred as Big Data. In past few years, the visualization analytics has gain a lot of momentum. Continuous endeavors are made to provide database model for graph based data. For a conventional relational data model to handle such massive and complex data sets, it can prove to be cumbersome and costly. Instead a hybrid NOSQL database can be helpful for the same. Amongst, the various NOSQL databases offered in the market, this paper will focus on Graph Databases namely VelocityDB. This article will focus on the review of VelocityDB which is a hybrid of Object and Graph database known as VelocityGraph. With the release of its latest version 5.1 on February 22, 2016, VelocityDB stands as an excellent choice amongst all Graph DB. Founded by Mats Persson in 2011, VelocityDB and VelocityGraph are based on C# .NET framework, and most importantly it’s an open source database
Tooling and Fixture Design for Component Manufacturing in Automobile industry
Mass production aims at high productivity to reduce unit cost and interchangeability to facilitate easy assembly. Fixtures hold the work pieces securely in correct position with respect to the welding / machine / cutter during operation
Approaching Secure Protocol from Quantum Perspective
The aim of quantum cryptography is to overcome the everlasting problem of unrestricted security in private communication. The usage of the quantum principles protects the privacy of the user data during the time it is in the transmission process over the telecommunication channels. The sophisticated algorithm we have developed will make the data meaningless to eavesdroppers. The security of modern cryptography systems has been accomplished by using a long key that will require many years to launch a brute force attack. Therefore, we designed an efficient algorithm that is developed based on BB84 and B92 techniques. In this paper, we utilized the classic features of quantum mechanism, such as superposition and uncertainty principle. We present the underlining mechanisms of quantum cryptography that enhances the security of data transmission in three stages with valid results that promise a low rate of errors that leads to a strong consistent key by raising the constraint of the security concept
Quantitative Easing and Emerging Markets
This research uses an event-study approach to analyze the effect of Federal Reserve quantitative easing announcements on emerging market economies. Using a daily panel data of fifteen emerging economies, the period examined is from November 1, 2008 to December 1, 2014; from one month before the first announcement of quantitative easing to one month after the last announcement of tapering. Results show that markets have a larger response to tapering news than easing news
Quantum Mutual Authentication Scheme Based on Bell State Measurement
Authentication is one of the security services that ensure sufficient security of the system by identification and verification. Also, it assures the identity of the communicating party to be that the claimed one. To build a quantum channel between two unauthenticated to each other users, a trusted authority is needed to create a mutual authentication with each party before they communicate. Using Bell measurement and entanglement swapping, we present a protocol that mutually authenticates the identity of the sender and the receiver then, constructs a quantum channel based on Bell basis. The sender and the receiver use the quantum channel to communicate using entanglement-assisted quantum communication protocols. Additionally, the protocol renews the shared secret key between the trusted authority and each user after authentication process. The protocol provides the necessary authentication and key distribution to create a quantum channel between the sender and receiver
Twitter Data Predicting Stock Price Using Data Mining Techniques
In this project, we apply sentiment analysis and data mining techniques to discover the correlation between “public sentiment” and “market sentiment”. We use twitter data to predict public mood and use the predicted mood and previous days’ NASDAQ values to predict the stock market movements. We foremost look for a correlation between twitter sentiment and stock prices. Secondly, we determine which words in tweets correlate with changes in stock prices by doing a post analysis of price change and tweets. Also, we discover the relationship between tweets of the vital Twitter user related to the stock and the corresponding one stock price behavior. Lastly, we will try to analyze trending mood on twitter of Top Gainers and Top losers. We achieved this by mining tweets using Twitter’s search API and subsequently processing them for analysis using Sentimental Analysis. For the task of determining sentiment, we test the effectiveness of three data mining techniques: Naive Bayes classification, Decision Tree, and Text Mining
Optical Sensor based Microfluidic Lab-on-a-chip for Glucose Continuous Sensing
The world’s diabetic patients has increased significantly in recent decades. Diabetes has become a serious global health threat. Diabetic patients need to monitor their body glucose level on daily basis. Traditional blood glucose test causes pain and infection risk to patients. Painless continuous glucose sensing has been in pressing need for a long time. Optical glucose sensing has the advantage of low-cost, no infection risk and it may lead to continuous painless glucose sensing. Optical sensors for continuous glucose sensing have been reported. In this research, a microfluidic lab-on-a-chip based on optical glucose sensing for continuous glucose monitoring is reported. It collects biological sample, mixes it with buffer fluid or test chemicals, and then drives it toward the optical sensor for glucose sensing. The optical sensor consists of a reaction chamber aligned with input and output fibers. Light transmitting through the reaction chamber interact with the glucose molecules and change its property. By sensing the light from output fiber, the glucose level in the sample can be derived. The lab-on-a-chip system also has self-flushing function to clean the chamber after each test, so that it can be ready for the next testing cycle. The function of the proposed lab-on-a-chip is verified with COMSOL simulation. The device can be used for low-cost continuous glucose monitoring
Brain Performances Between Process & Production
Brain performs based on how people set their mood. When they are optimistic, their brain acts and looks at things as normal, and easy to do, and vice versa. Brain handles tasks either as a process technique or as a production procedure. Process means brain forgets the time flow, and values the procedure. Production mean brain sizes the progression based on outcome even when the situation has the same outcome. Our study required participants to exercise in the gym to stimulate a change in mental state. We observed the outcome from weight scale, EEG, ECG, and EOG
FPGA based Magnetic field control for guiding Magnetotactic bacteria
This poster describes a prototype for guiding the bacteria through the control of magnetic field along a known path. These bacteria can be used in applications like MEMS and Micro total analysis. FPGA is used for the control of magnetic field and ultimately bacteria is guided along the magnetic path
