This study explores the application of Islamic economic principles in healthcare, specifically through Islamic hospitals. Employing bibliometric analysis and network visualization techniques, data from the Scopus database revealed 722 articles published between 1973 and 2024 were analyzed. Tools such as Microsoft Excel, R/RStudio, and VOSviewer were used to analyze these documents and visualize a network of keywords that highlight the economic aspects of Islamic hospitals. The findings indicate a steady growth in publications at a rate of 7.03% annually, with 2019 marking the highest number. Iran has emerged as a significant contributor to this body of research, particularly through the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, while the Eastern Mediterranean Health Journal has served as the primary publication outlet. Keyword network analysis uncovered four main clusters: financing models, cost-effectiveness, resource allocation, and ethical considerations in healthcare. This study sheds light on the integration of Islamic economic principles in healthcare settings and lays the groundwork for future research on optimizing economic practices in Islamic hospitals

This study analyzes the factors influencing Sharia e-commerce adoption among Generation Z Muslims in Central Java using the Technology Acceptance Model and Extended Theory of Planned Behavior. Data collected from 125 respondents were analyzed using SmartPLS. The results show that all constructs positively influenced the intention to use Sharia e-commerce. Perceived Ease of Use had the greatest influence on Perceived Usefulness, followed by Ihsan and religiousness on attitudes Towards behavior. The integration of Ihsan and religiosity reflects the role of religious values in shaping e-commerce attitudes among Generation Z. From an institutional economics perspective, religiosity and Ihsan function as informal institutions that direct economic behavior. The bounded rationality framework shows that individuals are influenced by social and religious values during decision making. These findings encourage e-commerce players to consider transparency, security, and compliance with Sharia. Policymakers should support Sharia e-commerce guidelines and incentivize ethical digital platforms. Collaboration among regulators, Islamic financial authorities, and the National Sharia Council is needed for uniform digital economy standards

Moral Singularity, Consciousness, and Artificial Intelligence in The Algorithmic Age of Islamic Economics, Finance, Society, and Science

This paper analytically argues that received scientific doctrine and Islamic scholarship, by being methodologically independent of the principle of pairing the moral and material essence of events, have left a significant gap in understanding reality. Such a gap is referred to as exogenously independent, that is, as existing merely as a moral singularity in the methodological worldview of knowledge that otherwise pervades “everything.’ This latter essence pronounces the central role of Tawhid as the pervasiveness of the conscious continuum. The pervasive nature of the conscious continuum in Tawhidi unity of knowledge brings out the analytical power to explain the core of the socio-scientific methodology of pairing (complementarities). This study derives a logical formal model of the interrelations between the centerpiece of the unity of knowledge, consciousness, configuration of epistemic moral-materiality, and socio-scientific intellection in the post-modern algorithmic age. For example, this vastness is inherent in the new epistemic configuration of the AI regime of the algorithmic age. Such an intellectual vista of divinely induced formal inherences in the order of reality is pointed out in this paper as pertaining to the new episteme of socio-scientific moral-materiality holism. A comparative methodological approach was used. The emergent subtle areas of discourse form the originality of the paper, its focus, and its theme

Human resources are an important aspect of an organization that cannot be separated from turnover problems. The high turnover rate remains a serious problem that organizations must minimize. One of the factors that can cause high turnover rates is the employee workload. Despite this, some factors can be highlighted to reduce turnover rates due to high workload, namely, perceived organizational support (POS) and continuance commitment. This study aimed to determine the effect of workload on turnover intention, with perceived organizational support (POS) and continuance commitment as moderating variables. This study used a quantitative method. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to employees of BMT BIF Yogyakarta. The research respondents were 75 people collected using a saturated sampling method. Data analysis in this study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in the Smart PLS 3.2.9 application. The results of the study show that there is an influence between workload and turnover intention. In addition, the perceived organizational support variable can also moderate the effect of workload on turnover intention, while continuance commitment cannot moderate the effect of workload on turnover intention. The managerial implications lead to the organization's role to always pay attention to the workload assigned to employees and to increase the perceived organizational support for employees so that turnover intention can be minimized.

Analysing Crime Waves in Contemporary Nigeria Through the Maqāṣid Al-Sharī‘ah Framework

The prevalence of crime is a significant socioeconomic challenge in Nigeria. While various studies have examined this issue, none have explored the economic importance of Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah (Objectives of Islamic Law) in addressing crime and promoting economic growth. This qualitative study used content analysis and thematic coding to investigate the economic implications of Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah for crime management in Nigeria, drawing on primary and secondary sources. The sources included government institutions’ reports, the Qur’ān, Aḥādīth (sayings of Prophet Muḥammad), semi-structured interviews, non-participatory observation, news reports, crime data, textbooks, and journal articles. Using Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah as a theoretical framework, this study evaluated Nigerian crime patterns, laws, and policies from an economic perspective. The study found that Nigeria's current system is ineffective in managing crime, particularly in relation to the protection of faith, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth, both in theory and practice, leading to significant economic losses for the country. However, the study revealed that Maqāṣid principles, such as promoting human well-being, preventing harm, and administering justice, have economic importance and can help solve crime waves, ensure economic security, and foster growth and development. The study concluded that incorporating Maqāṣid principles into Nigeria’s socioeconomic and legal systems could effectively address crime prevalence and associated economic losses. This suggests that a comprehensive understanding and implementation of Maqāṣid principles could serve as a model for tackling Nigeria's crime menace and promoting economic growth and development

Legal Awareness and Practical Approaches to Halalan Thayyiban Compliance: Insights from Street Food Vendors in Ponorogo, Indonesia

This study analyzes the understanding and implementation of the halalan thayyiban principle by street vendors in Ponorogo, Indonesia from a legal awareness perspective. Despite its importance in Islamic teaching, initial observations show that many vendors have not fully implemented this standard. Using an empirical law-based qualitative method, data were obtained through interviews, documentation, and observation and then analyzed inductively. The results revealed two categories of understanding: traders who understand halal in terms of substance, method of acquisition, and processing, and traders who equate thayyib with halal. Their strategies to maintain halalan thayyiban include maintaining cleanliness and using ingredients that are believed to be halal, but many have not met formal guidelines such as halal certification. Legal awareness is still low, although legal behaviors such as maintaining cleanliness have been implemented. This study highlights the need for government socialization and education to support traders in understanding and applying the principles of the halalan thayyiban. This research contributes to the development of halal policies in the informal sector and to understanding the role of legal awareness in micro businesses in Indonesia

There are two discussions, namely: 1) How to implement halal tourism development in Ngebel Lake Ponorogo based on DSN-MUI Fatwa Number 108/DSN-MUI/X/2016 Guidelines for Organizing Tourism Based on Sharia Principles. 2) What is the inhibiting and supporting factors in the development of the Ngebel Lake Ponorogo tourism area based on the DSN-MUI Fatwa Number 108/DSN-MUI/X/2016 Guidelines for Organizing Tourism Based on Sharia Principles? The type of research carried out by the researchers is field research using qualitative methods. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method used by researchers is inductive. The research results show that, first, the implementation of development based on DSN-MUI Fatwa Number 108/DSN-MUI/X/2016 has not been fully carried out in accordance with the guidelines for implementing halal tourism, even though it has fulfilled several development aspects as stated in the fatwa, namely, related to the provision of tourist-friendly Muslim facilities and services. Second, the fulfillment of implementation factors in accordance with DSN-MUI Fatwa Number 108/DSN-MUI/X/2016 influenced the success factors in supporting halal tourism activities at Ngebel Lake Ponorogo. However, the non-implementation of some of the supporting factors has created an obstacle in developing halal tourism in the Ngebel Lake Ponorogo area because it has not been implemented, as stated in the implementation guidelines according to Fatwa

With a Little Help from my Friends: Mining the Logic behind Israel-Jordan-UAE Water for Electricity Deal

In November 2021, Israel, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) began evaluating the feasibility of an agreement under which Israel would supply Jordan with desalinated drinking water and Jordan would provide Israel with electricity generated by solar systems located in Jordan and built by a UAE company. Since both water and electricity can be produced independently””Jordan can desalinate its own water, and Israel can generate electricity from solar power””the article questions the rationale behind this project. It concludes that the agreement’s foundation, both in terms of engineering and legal structure, is heavily rooted in political and psychological theories of trust building. If successful, this initiative could pave the way for broader regional cooperation and normalization
