    Case Study: The Next Generation of Network Management - AI, Automation, and Security in a Connected World

    Modern data center networks face unprecedented challenges in ensuring robust security due to the evolving complexity of cyber threats and the increasing sophistication of attack vectors. This study proposes comprehensive, multi-layered security architecture tailored for data center environments, integrating advanced technologies such as Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), AI-driven anomaly detection, SQL-based policy management, and Neo4j knowledge graphs. The architecture leverages NGFWs for deep packet inspection and application-layer filtering, fortifying the network perimeter while enabling advanced threat detection. ZTA principles enforce least-privilege access, requiring continuous authentication and contextual validation for all users and devices. A relational database underpins security policy management, ensuring granular control and consistent enforcement across the network. Neo4j knowledge graphs offer a dynamic, graph-based visualization of the network topology, enabling real-time analysis of relationships and communication paths to uncover potential vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and insider threats. The core of the system’s intelligence lies in the integration of machine learning models, particularly Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, for anomaly detection and predictive analytics. By analyzing real-time network traffic data, the AI models autonomously detect unusual patterns indicative of security incidents, enabling proactive threat mitigation. The synergy between these components ensures a scalable and resilient security framework capable of addressing modern security challenges. This architecture is designed to automate key aspects of threat detection, incident response, and policy enforcement, significantly reducing operational overhead while improving response times. The result is a flexible and adaptive security solution that enhances visibility, control, and protection of critical data center resources. By combining these cutting-edge technologies, this proposed framework demonstrates its capability to provide a robust defense mechanism for data center networks, ensuring operational continuity and compliance with stringent security requirements. This paper highlights the system's technical components, demonstrates its functionality through a detailed use case, and underscores its effectiveness in securing complex, high-value network environments against evolving cyber threats

    Application of Akim’s Model - Voluntary Insurance for Rapid Growth-trend of E-banking Transactions in Canadian-Economy: Seeking Officials Attentions

    The Bank of Canada (BoC) has been speeding up its efforts for positively influencing ebanking growth-trends in economy and finance for few years now where the innovations of banks & fintech are contributing significantly. However, effective protection and lack of competition that comes with it, have resulted banks to be behind innovation comparing it to that of many developed countries. Here probable customers are still concerned about psychological and emotional risk-factors that are becoming barriers to the growth-trends of ebanking services in Canadian economy. To marginalize the dilemma, attaching Voluntary Insurance (VI), known as Akim’s Model in literature, as a product in e-banking services can ensure secured digital-transaction services. As methodology used in this study, it is academically shown that adding the VI as a product and its increasing value will keep banking-businesses be growing. Here Welfare Analyses are used as guidance for policy design ensuring efficiency cost of competitive pricing of insurance so that the VI becomes appealing to party(s) involved. In case of bank service-provider, adverse selection in insurance market, welfare cost of inefficient pricing is quantitatively small and advantageous selection results the opposite. It can ensure risk-free e-banking in Canadian economy soon. Historical growth trends of Canadian e-banking services ratify that addition of a new legal product will contribute improving society beyond just gratification of consumers. Thus, once the VI policy is in place, which is well suitable under BoC policies and the 2024 Canadian federal budget introduced mandates, it will spread from bankers to customers. It will marginalize the strength of psychological & emotional factors of probable customers. It will serve as the positive results of innovations and of main motivating factors in the adoption process. So, its growth trend (S-curve) will capture the growth of revenue against time. This growth will be slow at the beginning but at some point, e-banking users will begin to demand it. Thus, it will ensure a higher number of transactions than that are today in e-banking service-market of Canada. Here the motivation & efforts of the BoC are the pre-requirements for ensuring Canadians to be cashless society soon

    Taxation Possibilities and Choices for Micro and Small Enterprises in Hungary

    In the last decades, the dominance and, consequently, the economic roles of micro-enterprises have been continuously increasing. These small businesses have great but often unexploited potential over large businesses in terms of market adaptation and flexibility. However, realizing this potential, especially in the case of large-scale changes, requires huge capital investments, which cause financial difficulties for small businesses. This situation is further hindered by the complex taxation system of Hungary. This paper deals with the financial situation of the Hungarian micro-enterprises and their connection to the current taxation system. The aim of the study is to examine the structure of this system and understand the experiences of domestic businesses with the public burdens and forms of taxation. In the literature review, micro-enterprises are introduced with their related financial background. Then the corporate taxation system of Hungary and its elements are examined. Considering the primary research, we distributed questionnaires to the domestic micro-enterprises and received 97 responses. The main conclusions of this research are that these businesses are having difficulties not only in choosing the appropriate form of taxation but also in the various conditions of the ones they choose. In order to facilitate the competitiveness of micro-enterprises in the long run, a stable and transparent financial background and taxation system are needed. Consequently, we provide suggestions that can be applied to ameliorate the situation

    Performance and Participation Expectancy if Voluntary Insurance Becomes a Policy of Digital-banking Service-market in Economy Country-wise: Statistical Analysis of Buying Intensions for Insurance in Bangladesh

    This study assessed e-banking users or customers’ perceptions of using Voluntary Insurance (VI) for marginalizing psychological risk-factors for enhancing the growth-trend of digitaltransactions. The survey collected the data from 250 randomly selected digital-banking-users of Premier Bank customers in Gulshan Branch, Dhaka, Bangladesh using an online, five-point Likert Scale questionnaire. Hierarchical multiple linear regression modelling (HLM) was adopted to evaluate the effects of insurance performance expectancy (IPE) and user’s effort expectancy (UEE) on insurance buying intention (IPI) in digital-banking services, after controlling for the effects of age and education. The results revealed that digital-banking users’ IBIs were significantly influenced by IPE (p<0.01) and UEE (p<0.01). The study concluded that young and educated user consumers were more likely to buy insurance i.e., the group of e-banking users represented higher IBI, if the Voluntary Insurance (VI) is in place as a new product in digital-banking services. Obviously, it ensures to be effective, productive, and useful, and the process requires little effort of users in economy country-wise such as Bangladesh. These findings offer the bank-management & policymakers’ guidelines and for motivational efforts adopting the VI as a new product in digital-banking services in economy country-wise such as Bangladesh. And, once the VI becomes an official product, the bank itself or in a joint effort with an insurance company, can promote and sell it to customers in multifaucets

    Beyond The Ordinary: A Case of a Unilateral Persistent Sciatic Vein

    Uncommon anatomical variations in venous structures continue to intrigue anatomists and clinicians alike. Here, we present a rare case of a unilateral persistent sciatic vein observed in the right thigh of an adult male cadaver. Unlike the commonly associated Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber syndrome, this finding emerged as an isolated phenomenon. During routine dissection, a conspicuous enlarged sciatic vein of lower type morphology was discovered in the right lower limb. This prominent vein, comparable in size to the sciatic nerve, originated from the confluence of posterior tibial, central soleal and peroneal veins at the distal end of the popliteal fossa. It ran a short course along the posterior thigh medial to the sciatic nerve, before terminating into the profunda femoris vein. This case underscores the importance of recognizing rare venous anatomical occurrences such as a persistent sciatic vein which predisposes one to deep vein thrombosis

    Hepatic artery variations are relatively common findings in patients with an array of findings that were categorized and quantified in the Michels classification system. Findings of an accessory right and left hepatic artery were found in a 69 year-old white female donor with a duplicated inferior vena cava during routine anatomical dissection (Michels type 7 variation). Research supports that the hepatic artery variations can be due to either failure of regression of ventral anastomosis between the dual aortas or failed regression of fetal hepatic blood flow. Given the concurrent development of the IVC and aortic branches during the fourth to seventh week of gestation, this patient’s duplicated IVC and abnormal CT and SMA anatomy are likely related, both a result of failure of regression of fetal vasculature. There are no known associated comorbidities with this vascular variation however it is clinically significant when undergoing any hepatobiliary surgical procedures and suggests an increased risk for hepatic ischemic events

    Pregnant women are particularly vulnerable to malaria infection, especially during their first and second pregnancy, despite pre-existing immunity to malaria acquired during childhood. When the parasite-infected red blood cells sequester in the intervillous spaces of the placenta, it leads to various adverse pregnancy outcomes such as maternal anaemia, hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, premature delivery, and infant low birth weight (LBW), which are associated with a higher risk of maternal and foetal/neonate mortality. Anaemia, undernutrition, and HIV infection increase the risk of malaria-associated adverse pregnancy outcomes.  The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that in 2022, there were approximately 35.4 million pregnancies in the WHO African region of which 36% were exposed to malaria infection, with an estimated 393,000 neonates with low birthweight as a result

    Whether Banks are Ready for Transition – Indian Scenario

    Climate risk management including transition risk has been evolving as a critical area requiring ambitious actions to be implemented. India being an emerging economy has dependency on fossil fuels which will continue in short run. Reserve Bank of India as a regulator has been working actively in the area after the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) and has recently come forth with the draft of standard disclosure framework for climate related financial risks, to provide guidance to all the regulated entities. The present study aims to evaluate theoretically the preparedness of Indian banks towards transition. In the absence of the relevant data, methodological interventions do not seem plausible. However, the study explores the factual investigations as per the latest available reports in this area. It is found that the major scheduled commercial banks have initiated few important and obvious steps towards climate related risk management and disclosures. Case studies suggest that few major banks have moved early towards integration of the sustainability policies in their risk management system and others are still in the process of doing it. Hence, it may be concluded that Indian banks are unceasingly walking towards transition. The future course of action in this area may the statistical/empirical investigation of the readiness of Indian banks once the proper database is available in public domain

    Endovascular Treatment of Infected Aortic Aneurysms: A Retrospective Multicenter Analysis from the GORE®GREAT Registry Study

    Objective: The Global Registry for Endovascular Aortic Treatment (GREAT), which is a retrospective sponsored registry (W.L Gore & Associates; Flagstaff – AZ; USA), was queried to evaluate the outcomes of infected aortic aneurysms (inf-AAs) after abdominal (EVAR) or thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR). Methods: This is a multicenter, observational cohort study. For the current study, all patients were treated only with the standard GORE® devices for INFAA. Primary graft infections, aorto-enteric fistulae, and graft-enteric fistulae were excluded, as well as cases that did not meet the predefined criteria of an inf-AA. All serious adverse events within 30 days of the procedure were documented by sites. Primary outcomes were early (≤ 30 days) and late survival, and freedom from endograft infection. Results: Thirty-one (0.6% of the entire GREAT cohort) patients met the inclusion criteria and were included: 23 (74.2%) were males and 8 (25.8%) females. The mean age was 72 years ± 11 (range, 49-92). This included 26 (83.9%) abdominal inf-AAs and 5 (16.1%) thoracic inf-AAs. Operative-related mortality occurred in 1 (3.2%) patient. Immediate conversion to open surgical repair was not required. Mean follow-up was 23.6 ± 15 months (range, 1-49): estimated survival rate was 80% (95%CI, 60.8-90.5) at 12 months, and 53.2% (95%CI, 30.0-71.1) at 48 months. Secondary aortic rupture as well as endograft explanation was also not reported. Conclusion: Endovascular treatment of inf-AA is feasible and effective. While endograft infection was not detected during the follow-up, long-term results from GREAT registry may reveal how durable T/EVAR could be for inf-AAs

    Bite by Bite: Unveiling the Impact of Chewing Sticks on Endovascular Health and Neurovascular Coupling – A Narrative Review

    Objective: This paper aims to explore the effects of chewing sticks, such as miswak (Salvadora persica) and neem (Azadirachta indica), on vascular health and neurovascular coupling, assessing their potential benefits for cardiovascular and cognitive functions. Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted to analyze existing studies related to the physiological effects of chewing sticks. Emphasis was placed on their impact on vascular health, neurovascular coupling, and the mechanisms behind these effects, including the stimulation of the trigeminal nerve and the release of norepinephrine. Results: Chewing stimulates the trigeminal nerve, which promotes the release of norepinephrine from the locus coeruleus, enhancing vascular dilation and regulating blood pressure. This process supports neurovascular coupling and may protect the blood-brain barrier, thereby improving cerebral circulation and reducing risks associated with cognitive decline and cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, the bioactive compounds found in chewing sticks—such as antioxidants and antimicrobial agents—may help reduce systemic inflammation and promote overall vascular health. Conclusion: Chewing sticks represent a potential cost-effective and accessible strategy for improving cardiovascular and cognitive health, especially in populations with limited healthcare access. While preliminary findings are promising, further research, including clinical trials, is necessary to fully elucidate the therapeutic potential of chewing sticks for enhancing vascular and cognitive functions
