BESKALAN LANANG DANCE MODIFICATION AS A INSTRUMENT OF SUPPLYING OF MARKET NEEDS
Get PDFPurpose: This article describes the phenomenon of the practice of modifying the Beskalan Lanangdance. Beskalan Lanang dance is a traditional dance from Malang Regency which existed in 2000and is currently experiencing a significant decline. Beskalan Lanang dance depicts a brave andstrong warrior in the middle of his life without his parents. This article is very relevant to the field ofcultural studies because it examines the relationship between the Beskalan Lanang dance, Tourism,and Capitalism.Research methods: This article uses literature and interview methods. The article data ispresented in a qualitative descriptive form and the data analysis uses Bourdieu's Theory of Practice.Findings: The various movements presented in the Beskalan Lanang dance are very thick with thevalues of the nation's character such as tolerance, communication, creativity, independence, peace-loving, and social care. All of these values seem to have been neglected when the Beskalan Lanangdance is faced with tourism needs. To supply the market demand, the Beskalan Lanang dance hasbeen repackaged in such a way, which was originally presented with a duration of 20 minutes buthas been changed to 11 minutes. Because of this, the Beskalan lanang dance will change its formand presentation structure, so that many values are neglected.Implications: The practice of modifying the Beskalan Lanang dance is carried out by actors whohave fund and fund has been converted to legitimize the practice of modifying the Beskalan Lanangdance, so it is very clear that the element of capitalism is closely attached to the rework of theBeskalan Lanang dance
The Freedom of Speech Based on Jerinx Case, ITE Law Approach
Get PDFFreedom of expression has actually been guaranteed in the law. As a citizen, having an opinion according to what is considered right is certainly a legal thing. The phenomenon of opinion in various social media is currently being loved. The thing that has often been an issue in recent weeks is the truth about the Covid-19 pandemic. Jerinx, a member of a well-known musician band in Bali, often voices opinions that are different from what actually happened. He considers that this pandemic is just a conspiracy of the global elite. The opinions expressed were conveyed through his social media channels, up to a post that forced Jerinx to go to jail for allegedly violating the rules contained in the ITE Law. The purpose of this study is to analyze the accuracy of the use of Articles in the ITE Law which is alleged to be against Jerinx for the posts he has made. By using juridical-normative research methods based on primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials such as legislation, court decisions, legal theory, and can be in the form of opinions of scholars related to existing problems. The results of this study were then analyzed qualitatively with descriptive-prescriptive presentation. Sensitivitas Urutan Alternatif Keputusan Berdasarkan Prioritas Kriteria Pada Metode Analytical Hierarchy Process
No full textHasil keputusan alternatif dihasilkan berdasarkan kriteria yang digunakan dalam penentuan keputusan. Untuk mendapatkan solusi optimal dari suatu penentuan keputusan, diperlukan analisis sensitivitas untuk mengetahui kriteria yang paling kritis serta mempengaruhi urutan alternatif. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus penerimaan dosen pada STMIK SZ NW Anjani, dengan menggunakan 3 kriteria penilaian yaitu Pendidikan Terakhir(C1), Nilai Tes (C2), dan IPK (C3). Metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) digunakan menentukan nilai bobot kriteria. Pengujian analisis sensivitas menunjukkan bahwa pada pengujian dengan penambahan bobot kriteria terdapat kriteria C3 dengan total 8 perubahan ranking alternatif. Pengujian dengan menggunakan tiga proses menunjukkan hasil bahwa uji sentivitas ke-1 bahwa kriteria C2 memiliki sensitivitas terkecil dengan nilai 0.110435789 , kemudian pada uji sensitivitas ke-2 kriteria C3 memiliki hasil uji sensitivitas terkecil dengan nilai 0.102338 dan uji sensitivitas ke-3 bahwa kriteria C3 kriteria C3 memiliki hasil uji sensitivitas terkecil dengan nilai 1.33562. Perubahan prosentase perubahan ranking terdapat pada penambahan bobot kriteria C2 dengan prosentase 33,33%
Implementing SOP to Improve Butler Performance
Get PDFPurpose: The research is to determine whether the implementation of standard operating procedure (SOP) can improve the performance of a butler in a hotel located in Jimbaran tourist area, Bali, Indonesia, and find out the efforts that can be applied to improve the performance of the butler employees.
Research methods: This research uses descriptive qualitative method using data collection methods such as observation method by directly observing how a hotel butler handles guests. An interview is done to butler employees, head butler and room division manager; and finally using questionnaires given to all butlers.
Findings: All butler of the hotel executes the SOP accordingly and correctly and have also worked optimally. The implementation of the SOP that are well implemented by butler employee has a positive impact on employee performance thus they can work thoroughly, disciplined, and in an organized manner.
Implication: SOP is very important to be implemented by butler to improve the performance of butler employees at the hotel
Analisa Usability Pada Website Platform Marketplace Edukasi Menggunakan Metode Heuristic Evaluation System Usability Scale
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengalaman pengguna Mulai Merintis, kemudian memberikan rekomendasi antarmuka website Mulai Merintis. Mulai Merintis adalah sebagai sebuah platform marketplace edukasi kreatif yang dibuat khusus untuk orang yang ingin belajar dan mengajar dalam bidang bisnis, pengembangan diri dan lainnya. Analisis ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah yang dihadapi pengguna saat menggunakan website. Analisis antarmuka dilakukan dengan metode Heuristic Evaluation dan System Usability Scale. Dalam Heuristic Evaluation yang dilakukan oleh tiga evaluator, ditemukan 38 pelanggaran terhadap 10 prinsip Nielsen yang kemudian dipilih 10 masalah prioritas untuk diselesaikan. Berdasarkan hasil metode System Usability Scale didapatkan bahwa pada 206 pengguna Mulai Merintis, skor rata-rata yang didapatkan adalah: 66,2. Hasil yang didapatkan dari metode System Usability Scale (SUS) dan Heuristic Evaluation (HE) digunakan sebagai dasar untuk pembuatan Mockup. Rekomendasi Mockup yang dibuat difokuskan pada 10 masalah prioritas berdasarkan dari hasil analisa, yaitu 25% dari metode System Usability Scale (SUS) dan 75% dari Heuristic Evaluation (HE). Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai saran dan referensi bagi para pengembang Mulai Merintis untuk meningkatkan kualitas website khususnya pada antarmuka sistem
Virtual Tourism: An Imaginary Art Museum of Soekarno’s Painting Collection Series
Get PDFAbstract : Purpose: This study is concerned with the challenge of how to creatively appreciate Soekarno the first president of Indonesia’s series of painting collections.
Research methods: Based on multidisciplinary approaches it was composed of an imaginary building as well as Soekarno’s virtual art museum gallery.
Findings: During his life, Soekarno (1901-1970) was fond of collecting numerous of masterpiece paintings and sculptures all of which beautified in six Presidential Palaces. By accommodating interest points in museum buildings and applying Jenck’s theory of postmodern architecture, a virtual or imaginary museum was created. A video depicting the artwork was uploaded on YouTube channel, which serves as Soekarno’s legacy.
Implications: Because it is presented in cyber space, it can be easily accessed, and to be a virtual tourism
Implementing New Era Life Order in Harper Kuta Hotel
Get PDFAbstract : Purpose: This study is to identify the implementation of the new era life order in Harper Kuta Hotel, Bali, Indonesia due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Research methods: This study uses descriptive qualitative methods supported by the data from respondents collected collectively using the google form platform, which is then reduced and summarized from all existing opinions.
Findings: The new era of life in Harper Kuta Hotel is taking place positively. It is according to the existing standard operating procedures. The creation of the new standard operating procedures is adjusted to the guidelines issued by the Bali Provincial Tourism Office which are used as guidelines in carrying out verification.
Implications: There are some additions and adjustments to existing standards both in terms of products and services, as well as from the use cycle of elements that come into contact with guests
Design of the National Gallery of Indonesia at the New Capital of Indonesia in East Kalimantan
Get PDFPurpose: Coinciding with the decision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to move the capital city of Indonesia to East Kalimantan, this paper was written for the purpose of ideally designing National Gallery of Indonesia (Galeri Nasional Indonesia or GNI) which is complete/integrated, representative, artistic, and has attractiveness as a tourist spot and recreation area.
Research methods: Data collection in the design uses online data collection in order to obtain site data and also existing conditions based on the results of the Nagara Rimba Nusa competition. From this, data and analysis of the design are obtained which are then processed into a design concept.
Findings: The design concept of the National Gallery of Indonesia in the new capital of Indonesia in East Kalimantan is combined with the design theme from Charles Jencks resulted in a building composition based on the analysis and also the previous concept. The composition of the gallery building mass resulting from the analysis and the theme of “multivalence” produces a unique building form with various philosophical meanings.
Implications: The final result of the design process produces concepts, working drawings as well as the 3D rendering of the design
THE FORGOTTEN BARONG KEDINGKLING AND LEGONG TOMBOL AS GREEN FACADE INSPIRATION
Get PDFPurpose: The purpose of this research and creation is to answer the issue of preserving Balinesetraditions such as barong kedingkling, legong tombol dance, taru pramana, the need for greenspaces during the pandemic, as well as the implementation of the Bali Provincial Regulation No. 5 of2005, in the form of a green facade module with a Balinese identity.Research methods: The method used is based on a design thinking approach which is dividedinto three stages, namely inspiration, ideation, and implementation.Findings: The green facade has a Balinese identity using the form of the barong kedingklingmodule and the legong tombol dance. The plants used are sourced from taru pramana. This strategyis expected to be able to answer the need for preservation, cultural education, and the application oflocal regulations in a new, more modern way.Implications: Preservation of traditional arts can continue with a strategy that is in line with thetimes. There needs to be a creative exploration in line with technological developments. Traditionalart must be able to be applied flexibly so as not to be eroded by the times
Menu Engineering on Main Course to Increase Sales
Get PDFPurpose: This research is to determine the level of popularity and the level of contribution margins on the main course menu and strategies that can be done to increase food sales at a restaurant of a big hotel located in Kuta, Bali, Indonesia.
Research methods: The method used in this research is observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the menu engineering analysis technique.
Findings: Among 18 main course menus, 3 or 16.7% is categorized into the high popularity level and 15 or 83.3% into the low popularity level. Fourteen menus or 77.8% have a high contribution margin level is and the menu that has a low contribution margin level is 4 menus or 22.2%. There are 3 menus or 16.7% in the plowhorse category, as many as 14 menus or 77.8% into the puzzle category, and there are 1 menu or 5% into the dog category.
Implication: Strategies to increase food sales are by maintaining the menu, maintaining quality and increasing food prices, promoting the menu, and considering deleting the menu or replacing it with a new menu
