    No full text
Food retailing industry has expanded commensurate to the growing requirements of a bulging world population. Initially, most retailers depended on external suppliers for most of their stock. The suppliers controlled the branding and pricing elements. This has since evolved with retailers having exponentially grown, endowing them with the ability to support their own brands. In addition to the inherent additional capability, changing business dynamics have meant that retailers have introduced additional aspects to their in-store brands. These brands which have been developed in-house have grown in scale and reach but still limited to branded stores. Food retailing has spawned lateral branded stores with respect to their food characteristics. The study has focused on evaluating the myriad factors that have sufficiently influenced consumer psychographics when choosing private store brands instead of commercial name brands. This was achieved by analyzing; general marketing strategies, effective branding, pricing and associated discounting, and general attractiveness of store brands. The condensed objective was dissected into related sub-objectives including; the marketing strategies that have been pursued by food retailers in promoting their own brands, factors that influence preference for store brands in relation to pricing, discounts, psychographic dynamics, existence of promotion thresholds and their overall influence on purchasing habits.Research was undertaken using qualitative methods by surveying the emerging trends that have supported the growth of store brands. Price comparisons were made from empirical data collected from several outlets while the survey was conducted on consumer responses to pricing and discounting. The resultant data was evaluated and represented in tables and charts to support the primary objective of the research

The year 2020 was marked by the beginning of the intense journey against Covid-19, which brought strong impacts to Brazilian education. In view of this, the educational system began to adapt to the “new normal” and, with this, problems arose in adapting to virtual education, especially in the scope of School Inclusion (SI) of the deaf public, since social distancing requires significant attention in the use of aspects of communication and online technologies. These difficulties were more prominent, especially in the discipline of Chemistry, which is not detached from experimentation. Thus, the research demonstrates the need for better approaches to SI in Emergency Remote Education (ERE), especially in Chemistry contextualized to Environmental Education (EE). This work aims to adopt Active Methodologies (AM) and it is justified in offering activities aimed at the interassociations between Chemistry and EE, through the Case Study (CS) method. These actions addressed the principles of Green Chemistry (GC) and the 6th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on drinking water and sanitation. The development of the work occurred remotely in an inclusive class. The results of the research demonstrated the importance of using inclusive methodologies that favor the construction of effective knowledge and enable the exchange of knowledge in a bilingual and accessible environment. Thus, the adaptation or development of new didactic methodologies can change the reality of Brazilian education

Given that water is a conditioning and irreplaceable element to the existence of life on Earth, equally present and future populations also depend on water to ensure their continuity and economic activities, biological and sociocultural factors that develop. Based on a review of the scientific literature available in EBSCO and Web of Science databases, this study aimed to investigate and discuss the existing relationships between culture and education in the context of water resources management. We conducted a systematic literature review technique in conjunction with a bibliometric analysis with the support of Rayyan, Microsoft Excel, and VOSviewer software. For the data collection, we evaluated the sample regarding the number of annual publications, the mapping of publications, and the relations network between the keywords created to identify new trends and a research agenda. The results highlighted the complexity of the relationship between culture, education, and water resources, revealing the need to deepen and advance research on the subject. In the analysis, we identified the need to consider man as the leading actor in a new structure in which education will be the leading mobilizer for constructing a new cultural perspective on water resource management

Since the emergence of the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus (coronavirus disease or COVID-19), the generalities since its emergence, from the clinical picture, as well as the findings observed in AI (Artificial Intelligence) diagnostic methods applied to medicine personalized. This article is a literature review regarding the use of personalized medicine combined with artificial intelligence to monitor people with covid-19. The continuous evolution of intelligent systems aims to provide better reasoning and more efficient use of collected data. This use is not restricted to retrospective interpretation, that is, to provide diagnostic conclusions. It can also be extended to prospective interpretation, providing an early prognosis. That said, physicians who could be assisted by these systems find themselves in the gap between the clinical case and in-depth technical analyses. What is missing is a clear starting point for approaching the world of machine learning in medicine

The aim of this study was to investigate the incidence of syphilis in pregnant women in the state of São Paulo from 2018 to 2020 in epidemiological surveillance. The study is an epidemiological, descriptive observational research of quantitative analysis with secondary data, notified in the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN), which is the database of the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), of pregnant women with syphilis, between 2018-2020. The collection of secondary data was authorized of São Paulo State. We found 50 women with unspecified syphilis in the last 3 years, of these 36 are pregnant women with syphilis and 7 cases of congenital syphilis. There has been a large increase in pregnant women with syphilis in the last year, however, there has been an eradication of congenital syphilis during this period. With this, it can be emphasized the importance of screening and early treatment of pregnant women in the Primary Health Care Network to promote health promotion and to offer quality of health services to mothers

    No full text
We researched governance from the perspective of Business Process Management – BPM. From the understanding of process management as a practice that aims to register organizational knowledge, BPM can be seen as a valuable tool for governance. The BPM uses methodologies of analysis and redesign of processes to represent and translate organizational objectives and strategies to add value to clients. This article presents a systematic mapping of scientific papers published between 2011 and 2021 through the data collected in Scopus and Web of Science databases. The co-occurrence of keywords allowed identifying research subareas such as the public sector, technology, and strategic management. The analysis of the evolution of the publications revealed that the theme is still growing; however, we did not find many articles contemplating the connection between the two constructs simultaneously. We concluded that despite the results found, the concepts of both constructs consider common elements as value generation, demonstrating that there is room for new approaches to analyze the evolution of the theme and possibilities of further research

    No full text
The study presents the creative approach as a teaching proposal for digital learners in formal learning spaces. An environment where the student perceives himself as a citizen in the individual sphere, in the collective, and in the cultural environment, in which the appropriation of knowledge is impacted by cultural aspects and their surroundings. The learning elements form a link between digital technologies, pro9grammatic content, and the guidelines of the national normative document, contemplating the needs of 21st-century learners. The creative approach aims to awaken the student’s interest in their learning process, assuming the responsibility of authorship guided by the teacher through cooperation and interaction practices. Thus, we have applications incorporated into the appropriation of knowledge that allow us to understand and master the codified digital language underlying the cyberculture with the ability to create and develop as global citizen
