Rural tourism: An analysis througt the assumptions of the new institutional economy
The study aims to analyze the decision-making of the agents through the theoretical assumptions of the New Institutional Economics (NIE), and the results in transaction costs of rural property activity added tourism to its agricultural business. The methodology adopted was the exploratory and explanatory study. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and the analysis was qualitative. Finally, we know that we still need to find appropriate tools to reduce the asymmetry of information and allow a wider field of view to making agents\u27 decisions
Effects on the properties of cementitious composites using waste glass powder (WGP) as a partial replacement for cement: a systematic review
The use of waste glass powder (WGP) as a supplementary cementitious material (SCM) rich in pozzolan as a partial replacement for cement has been a viable alternative, from the environmental and economic point of view, to solve problems caused by the high consumption of cement worldwide. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of the use of WGP, when used as a partial cement substitute, in some properties of cementitious composites (pastes, mortars and concretes), in the fresh and hardened state. Through a systematic literature review, 23 experimental research articles obtained from the world-renowned Science Direct database were analyzed. The results obtained from this review indicate improvements in some properties of cementitious composites with WGP, such as increased compressive strength at advanced ages, increased thermal neutron shielding capacity, reduced penetration of sulfate and chloride ions, mitigation of alkali-silica reaction, reduced thermal conductivity, improved mechanical and chemical properties, including the formation of a new crystalline phase (devitrite) when exposed to high temperatures, reductions in air entrapment, water absorption and porosity. Regarding workability, there was no consensus, however, regardless of the substitution content, all composites were within the slump limits. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of WGP in cementitious materials produces beneficial effects on some properties of cementitious composites
Airborne Fungi in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Operating Theater in a University Hospital
Monitoring the microbiological quality of indoor air in hospital environments is a matter of comprehensive discussion due to its influence on the transmission and spread of pathogenic microorganisms. Among the artificially air-conditioned environments, hospitals are noteworthy for being specific places for the treatment and recovery of patients. In addition to problems related to patients health and professionals health, immunocompromised patients are more exposed to microorganisms present in the air currents of the refrigeration system in these environments, which can lead to consequences such as the occurrence of outbreaks. The objective of this work was to evaluate the indoor air quality in critical hospital environments of a teaching hospital in the city of Maceió, the state of Alagoas. In addition, we sought to identify the anemophilous fungal microbiota present. Air collections were taken in the rainy season, totaling, following recommendations indicated by Resolution No. 9 of the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency. The study was based on determining the concentration parameter of bioaerosols in indoor and outdoor air. The fungal microbiota identification was carried out by analyzing macro and microscopic characteristics for filamentous fungi and the use of molecular tools for yeasts. The most frequent species in hospital critical environments were Cladosporium cladosporioides, Penicillium piceum, Penicillium aurantiogriseum, Cladosporium herbarum and Aspergillus oryzae. In outdoor air, the most frequently found fungi were Penicillium sp., Aspergillus sp., and Cladosporium species. Candida tropicalis, C. krusei, and C. parapsilosis were identified among the yeasts in indoor and outdoor air samples. Identifying potentially pathogenic fungi in the evaluated environments points to the need for continuous monitoring of indoor air quality. Furthermore, to avoid the widespread fungal pathogens and the consequent occurrence of outbreaks, the adoption of indoor air microbiological quality analysis programs is suggested as an essential tool in developing infection control standards. In our study, airborne fungi are reported as indoor air contaminants in critical hospital environments. This finding is noteworthy because, in general, individuals present in these environments have an immunological impairment
Entrepreneurial institution and regional development: Analysis of the projects of the Federal Institute of Piauí.
Higher Education Institutions are strategic actors in the economic, social, environmental and cultural development of territories. This article aimed to identify the projects developed by the Federal Institute of Piauí Campus São João do Piauí, analyzing their relationship with the social and economic development of the Development Territory of Serra da Capivara. Data collection was carried out in the Unified Public Administration System. Projects in the research and extension modalities approved in public notices with results available in the 2019-2020 period were selected. Two search protocols were used, one for the research modality and the other for the extension modality. There was a greater concentration of projects approved by the São João do Piauí Campus in the \u27Environment Dimension\u27 (66.6%).The other projects were categorized into the \u27Sociocultural\u27 (22.2%) and \u27Economic\u27 (11.1%) dimensions. This points to a profile of human capital performance on the Campus for issues related to the Territory\u27s sustainable, social and economic development
Cultural heritage from the city\u27s perspective
The changes related to the occupation of Brazilian territory that took place in the 70\u27s and 80\u27s brought great transformations and challenges to cities, a fact that triggered the need for organization and management of these territories. From the Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1934, a movement emerged regarding the legal treatment of issues related to urbanism and its cultural heritage. The legal regulations’ evolution process that permeate the cities continued to walk with the Constitution of 1988 and the City Statute (2001), which in turn, guides Brazilian municipalities regarding their public administrations through the Municipal Master Plans. In this way, the study in question is justified based on the issues that permeate cities, with their complex and constantly changing systems. The present research is directed to emphasize theoretical approach studies on cultural heritage through the vision of the city. This work is based on bibliographic research, of a basic nature, as well as presents a qualitative approach to the data collected, and treated from the analytical-synthetic approach method, initially presents the information with a macro view, reducing the analysis to understanding micro of the study object
A different formulation for the Fermat’s last theorem
It is a big challenge, not only historical, to research Fermat’s Last Theorem rising mathematics of Fermat’s era. In the present work, based on a mathematical background known in 16th century, we will show that the wording of the theorem should be different.
The concept is based in works of L.Serbi2 an A.Mazaris3

Technological innovation, tax incentives and economic efficiency in the Brazilian scenario: Analysis of the case of the State of Piauí
The current market imposes on economic agents the use of different strategies to achieve a sure competitive differential or even enough for the regular maintenance of their organizations. From this perspective, innovations emerge as an alternative capable of boosting the revenues of companies and technological development, a fact that, as a consequence, leads to an improvement in the well-being of the population, income distribution, and socioeconomic progress. In this context, it is up to the public authorities to adopt different incentive instruments to create an environment conducive to innovation in the country and in each state, such as tax incentives, which stimulate such activities by eliminating or reducing tax collection. So, considering the peculiarities of the State of Piauí, which presents incipient figures on technological innovation, this paper aims to analyze the effects of public policies of tax incentives for technological innovation in this part of the federation alternatives for improvement given the reality found. It is a bibliographic, documental, descriptive, exploratory research, with an inductive method and qualitative approach, carrying out a case study in which the actual context of Piauí State using the Law and Economics instrumental as an analysis tool. With this methodology, we were able to confirm our hypothesis that there are flaws in the public policies that currently exist and, therefore, the improvement of actions and public projects to support innovation with a focus on the State\u27s specificities, a measure that is needed
