This manuscript discusses some methodologies for achieving professional practice in the 21st century. Whether in the medical, pharmacological, educational, environmental or even technological areas, we have seen that Professionalization has been effective for the formation and respect for plural identities. In this sense, the objective of this paper is to discuss Strategies to become an excellent professional in the burnout society (CHUL-HAN, 2019), in which we start from the method to emotional balance as support. During the structuring and functionality of the subject, it is necessary to recognize its limitations and performance, hence the need to systematize the evidence on the implications and benefits of professionalization, given the entire configuration of its implementation in Brazil. This is a bibliographical and documental research, of an interpretative qualitative nature. With regard to the conditions for the effectiveness of a good professional performance, a mapping of verification of the subjects\u27 practice becomes effective, in which institutional actions arising from/funded by educational policies that are linked to reports and to the researches. Our results pointed to the fact that many criteria need to be rethought and put into practice, including reformulations about leisure and personal satisfaction in the midst of the hyper-demanding of modern times

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic came with impasses, one of them in the educational area, creating numerous barriers. During this period, the access to traditional study methodologies became impracticable, causing some difficulties in the comprehension of some subjects for healthcare students. Therefore a 3D model was elaborated as a learning facilitator, whose main goal was to help healthcare students in the understanding of the voluntary motor movement, addressing the cortico-basal, ganglia-thalamic and cortico-ponto-cerebellar pathways, since the observation in cadavers is not possible. Objective: evaluate the impact of the 3D models in the teaching-learning process and present the comparison and the effects of using a biscuit model and the plastinated cadaveric pieces in the multimodal teaching of human anatomy. Methods: this study involved 47 students from the Physiotherapy course. A prototype was developed using biscuit dough, wood, polystyrene and paint and it illustrated in special dimensions the pyramidal tract and the cortico-basal, ganglia-thalamic and cortico-ponto-cerebellar pathways. The participants performed identical tests before and after the display of the different methodologic resources, 3D model and multimodal, where they were randomly grouped and divided. Results: It was verified that in spite of the greater number of correct answers in the post-test form, there was not, in fact, a significant statistical difference (p=0,654)  between the participating groups, which states the necessity of developing an alternative approach and a more significant sample. A significant statistical difference was observed (p<0.001) when comparing the students´ post-test knowledge with their pre-test knowledge when both methodologies were used, setting a multimodal approach, which is an alternative strategy that promotes a better development in teaching and learning. Conclusion: In our study, the teaching  with cadaveric pieces (p=0.010) and the use of the 3D model singly (p=0.006) and the multimodal model (p<0.001) obtained similar results statistically. Therefore, the professors must choose the teaching methodology based on their aim and not for the intrinsic qualities in each method

The protection of copyright and personality rights of image and voice of actors, teachers and students involved in the teaching-learning process has become a widely discussed topic due to emergency remote teaching, adopted by educational institutions throughout Brazil due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, this article aims to identify protection scope and limits of the application of copyright and personality rights of image and voice in the context of Brazilian teaching. Therefore, an exploratory research was carried out with a qualitative approach, applying the deductive method, using bibliographic and documentary researches as a data collection technique, through which an answer to the following question was pursued: What is the protection scope and limits established in the Brazilian legislation aiming at protecting copyright and personality rights of image and voice of actors, teachers and students involved in the teaching-learning process? The research identified that, except for some limits set out in the Copyright Law (CL), the theme is treated in a generic way in the Brazilian legal system, in order to preserve access right to education. Hence, it is necessary a general rule elaboration that prescribes protection scope and limits of copyright and personality rights of image and voice in the context of teaching, establishing guidelines to be followed by educational institutions in the country for the adoption of best practices for protection of copyright and personality rights of image and voice of participants of academic activities, whether these are offered in Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) or in face-to-face format

The adolescent school going individuals face challenges as they go through the phases of development and academic work. Literature on physical fitness levels among such students in the second cycle institutions in Ghana is scarce, hence this study. The study assessed the physical fitness levels of 15-17-year-old students of St. Peters SHS in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Descriptive design with quantitative approach was adopted for the study. 60 participants were sampled for the study using purposive and simple random sampling techniques. The fitnessgram (made up of battery of tests) with attached checklists was used for data collection. The findings revealed that only one-third (33.3%) of the participants in St. Peters SHS had a cardiovascular endurance rating in the Healthy Fitness Zone (HFZ), with majority of them (66.7) in the “Needs Improvement” zone. Results further showed that majority of the participants had both muscular endurance and body mass composition ratings of (71.7% and 78.4%) with respect to Healthy Fitness Zone (HFZ) while only (28.3% and (21.6%) needed improvement. Results again affirm that, enjoyment and fun during physical education lessons (65%), attention given to injured students in a physical education class (93.3%), planned physical education classes (78.3%) and awareness of the importance of participation in physical education and sporting activities (71,6%) were relevant factors. Finally, results indicated that majority of the participants were in support of improving teaching and learning materials (TLMs) and facilities (86.7%) as well as making physical education a compulsory subject (71.7%). It was concluded that attention must be given to the cardiovascular health needs of the students in St. Peters SHS. Fun activities, injury prevention and treatment, appropriate planning of class sessions and provision of resources would promote and improve healthy active lifestyles amongst the student populace

The natural environment is essential to life because it is through it that it is possible to extract resources for living beings that are inserted in it. For this, a balance of living beings and the environment is necessary through environmental awareness. The research objectives are to obtain the profile of the analyzed schools, observing how EE is applied in the public network of the municipality, in order to create a manual of practices of applicability of Environmental Education in schools. The research was carried out in thirteen public schools in the city of Itacoatiara/Am. Authorizations were obtained for the visits, observing how the theme is applied in schools and whether they have environmental projects. After the visits, an online questionnaire was applied to teachers and students to detect the qualities and deficiencies of the schools. Finally, the profile of the schools was obtained in order to develop an interdisciplinary application manual in schools in the Amazon. As a result, it was found that public schools are more prepared to work on these themes, and in support of pedagogical resources, given the lack of municipal schools, which, in addition to the lack of material, do not have the application of environmental projects as in state schools in that all apply at least one. All teachers are interested in working in an interdisciplinary way, as the topics are only worked in the classroom and according to the students\u27 results, they are not attractive. It is concluded that there are many deficiencies that need to be corrected, be they structural, pedagogical and material that could benefit the teaching of EE, and thus, make the practices more attractive to the students

Participation in sports is a topic that has gained considerable attention over the years.  While many scholars argue that sports participation results in high academic output among student-athletes, others contended that it decreases academic performance. There is another school of thought that has established that participation in sports promote absenteeism. Despite these discussions, there is a gap in the literature on the relationship between absenteeism and academic performance among student-athletes particularly in a developing country like Ghana. Therefore, this study investigated the relationship between absenteeism and academic performance among 203 student-athletes in two public senior high schools in the Obuasi Municipality of Ghana. A census was employed to gather data from all the student-athletes who were in form three and form two. A generated form that solicits student-athletes end of semester results in the core subjects English, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Social studies, and attendance for two semesters was the main instrument used to gather the data. Data was analysed using percentages and correlation. The results showed that student-athletes attendance to classes was high and their academic performance was also good. The results further revealed that the academic performance of the student-athletes is linked to their class attendance. It is recommended that the management of senior high schools and other stakeholders within the Obuasi Municipality should find ways of encouraging students to participate in school sports and attend classes regularly since that might improve their academic performance.&nbsp
